My AOG f2's are still only babys. Their not gonna be able to be grown outside this year.
How are they for indoors? Im also gonna use a male LVRK x BLR to hit an AOG f2 and a LVRK x BLR.

How wide and tall are those pots wolf?

8.75 ft wide x 3.3 ft deep roughly if i remember correctly for a total cost of $88 for all four.

I filled them to just over 4 yard and was going to taper the soil down towards the sides but did not like it so i toped potters off with 1-1.5 yards each seeing how i had enough left over .

Farming is a bitch, nothing is perfect. You can do everything you can, then mother nature throws you a wild card and all you can do is pick yourself up and try again.

if you look inside a farmer you'll find they're full of next years

Yessir! That there is an accurate statement!

This season we are removing fan leaves aggressively, and an occasional topping and LST to keep things nice and round. I got tired of doing the hanging and dangling ten feet in the air trying to snip buds. Our goal is shorter, wider, more compact, more tops, better air flow with less cages/trellis and easier harvesting.
but lower yield, no? is your goal to make sure the plants are root-dominant? what would you do if plant count were an issue?
Screws plants look like they will be really huge. Great techniques for aiming for a 10# plant. Not topping, and leaving the fans on pushes the plant to stretch and expand. Builds a huge frame so that you can hit those giant numbers. Limited plant count, great technique.
I hope they get huge. they're already big. A few of the really lanky ones got topped, maybe 4 plants out of 30 in the mounds.

I definitely expect the unexpected. Sometimes it's not mother nature though.

When are you gonna break out the magic wands?
I should already be doing that. what can i say.. I havent been much of a scientist. I hope to change that but just havent been trying. honestly a lot of the time feel pretty dumb especially when it comes to chemistry
Schrewd- I t think I'm on par until I see your pics and a couple other guys.
That's how i feel. there's always somebody doing better and doing more

Comparison is cool just to see but also helps everyone see results of different techniques. Thanks for sharing everyone

AOG does great indoors, very hardy and vigorous. Great bag appeal, yield, frosty, loud flavor profiles. The stretch is a lot to deal with though depending how low your ceilings are. good luck with your seed project! :dance013:

plant health looks on point, i expect they will get nice and big. next year you might want to make those pots a bit shorter and wider or just make some mounds... what strains you growing in there?

Still putting up trellis over here. It's going up slowly but we have half the garden done and should be done with the rest by tomorrow. It takes two people because the ladder is unstable on the hill. Already broke one ladder but fortunately no injuries so far. Been 100+ degrees all week, great weather for pounding posts!! My hands are starting to ache so that part sucks but on the plus side i only have 30 more posts to pound today. hope to finish soon, and make it out of the mountains for a few days.

Strain's are delicious seeds cotton candy and a single 1970's affie from socal. All plants are clones .

Youll find your own reason to use them. They dont have to be too complicated. Just think of them like ph or ppm meters. In my case, i had a deficiency and i thought maybe i could at least see if i had enough nitrate in the leaves so i could eliminate the possibility of N deficiency. It gets complicated after that but at the bottom of it, i know theres enough nitrogen and too much K which means not enough of some other shit. Means i dont overfeed N. And I know what you mean by station now. It gets annoying sitting in the dirt trying to write down data and press and measure sap. Need a desk up there lmao

Get an orchard ladder! Mizer told me about them last year and i can hang out on that thing all day on a hill by myself if you set it right.

Right there with you on trellising. Waiting for my late worker right now. Hopefully gonna crush it all out today before any more branches break :/

What do you mean by lanky and did you top just the top or all branches? I always have some lanky plants without many tops. Do you think it's too late to top now?

I usually stop topping mid July. Gives some time for the nodes to catch up before flowering starts. Has worked well. I top everything that's outgrowing anything around it. So the whole plant. Has worked well for me.

Butte reccomended pruning outdoor plants for high yield in the The growing large plants, outdoors, thread...saying its about number of bud sites/tops that is key to high yields. Attached are screenshots from that thread showing his plants and explanation.

That is the same way ive been topping my outdoor plant this season, and its filled out very evenly to a nice round bush.
