Med-Man Tables By Krunchbubble...

From watching what is happening with krunch's grow. I speculate that maybe swings in temperature and stalling of photosynthesis caused the plant to begin to die off at the roots because of the shock. Then the rot took over. Looks like some plants are more susceptible than others.

Environment is dialed in, except for humidity swings in dark, maybe gets to 65% for a few hours. Temp is max 84 on a warm day and its raining here...

Co2 is at 1000ppm....

Water comes out at under 80ppm out of the tap...

Root zone is continuously monitored by A Tri Meter, res never got above 72 degrees...

The 72 hour darkness ive been doing for many, many years without any ill affects...

And TS's link makes me want to cry...

The question you gotta ask yourself is this Krunch , why`s 1/2 the table standing tall and the rest goin to mush.....rootzone issues guaranteed.......now.....

Dead rez IS using synthetic nutrients Dr Fever , and there`s no way in Hell excess transpiration made those plants wilt , but rather from the LACK of transpiration trying to stay in survival mode from shuttin down and NOT drinkin at all , ALONG with root issues being the proverbial nail in the coffin.....anyways.....

If the setup won`t hoon and produce for yas Krunch , shitcan it and move back to a system that will and has produced for yas.....regardless.....

Damn sorry ta see all the probs , and wish nuthin but the best fer yas......and.....

My 2 cents from all them yrs in Krusty AND ebb and flow buckets.....

Peace.....DHF...:ying:.....

I ment using dead rez from start to finish i am sure these tables work and so many factors are involved just seems to be to much work cleaning sterilizing to switch over and hoping nothing was missed or etc
As for the transpiration post i was referring it to ,,, few posts above from another member i agree transpiration did not do this It all came from down below in the root system
And also agree if you try a new way of growing and after few runs its nothing but a headache , go back to what worked for you and get the show going

Wilting is an obvious sign the plant isn't transpiring. Damaged roots will reduce transpiration. Extended night reduces transpiration. It could have been a combination of things.

Just because the dark period worked for plants adapted to other environments doesn't mean it'll work for this one. Plants in soil will adapt better to a sudden increase in light than hydro plants will because of the differing root structures. The same is true with a sudden absence of light.

Woh dude back the f up. Haven't you ever heard of Canadian bacon and Labate Blue.

You mean Ham and pale lager? LOL couldnt help it.

Well, this system does seem like horseshit. I applaud Krunch for doing what most folks don't have the balls to do, show failed grows. with all of the suggestions coming in that seem to be pointless, the best one I heard yet is to ditch the tables. Its just another slick marketing scam my another schwarmy "bro', who after a short time of growing is the master of all masters. hmmmmm.

I think the system would work just fine as well as many other systems in less than ideal conditions if people would just add Rootshield Plus to the res ! I got fucked over big time by root disease so much so that I'm so broke you wouldn't believe it. In the U.S. you can buy small packs of this and some other types like Actinovate for $20.00 or so why not throw some in the res. ? I can only buy Rootshield plus in 1 lb size which is a screw up for me because it's going to cost me $150.00 I'm having trouble scraping up. here is a video of the stuff https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcKZZnOH67k

Stem Rot....

Pretty sure that's what happened...

Just was dissecting the plant and was able to EASILY pull the plant away from the rockwool it was originally planted into...

Didnt see any rot inside the stem, but I would assume with the stem so easily being pulled away fro the rockwool...

Look at the cambium, get a knife and inspect for fusarium/Verticillium. Have you ever had these before in hydro?

Fill the tables with coco-peat and use dome drippers, that big-ass coco mat will do you proud Krunchbubble :) you will be able to add all the bennies you like :bigeye: !

You want to dump air in the night cycle ideally tho if possible to another bedroom for optimum environmental control.

I would have thought you would have seen the E.C drop daily in the MM system Krunch. Before the wilting happened was this drop happening so you were adding back to increase the EC.

The Hanna tri system perhaps would have indicated the presence of a issue as the shut down of a plant would indicate usually raise the E.C from the normal take on the tank or pH swing from the difference in uptake?

I think also it was a mistake to hit them with C02 right off the hop when the lights where turned back on this would have had the affect of going from very low demand for water to max demand.

Stop running juice 24/7 through them Krunch and feed several times per day instead.

I like to flood every hour for 15 minutes once a good root system is established first. You'll still get good growth rates but not the same as a healthy 24/7 feeding schedule.

Sorry for your troubles Kunch.

Hello Snype ^^ Yeah I agree with you and HGO the rest period allows time for the roots to breath and draws oxygen into the media when the fertigation happens.

The more flow you able feed them in intervals will increase growth rates in that 15 ltrs instead of a 10 ltr flow rate per feeding will be noticeable in growth but also the cost of this may not equal out to twice as much bud.

The other scenario I know HGO will recommend and i'm sure Snipe is familiar with is to increase the feeds during the first few weeks of the flower period, this will benefit the extra growth.

I feel looking at the design of the MM tables that its a half way house between NFT, Drip irrigation & aeroponics. I'm not sure I would call these tables legendary..

How do you feel about these tables Krunch and what will you do to move on from this?
