Thank you for sharing, it gives all of us all greater perspective on how far North these can run, I certainly did not no, but that is terrific and as you said such little care. It begs the question har far North can she go?
Have you tried her yet?
Again thank you for posting!
Keep in mind, as others across the continent have found, this year was exceptional in the length of the season and good weather. These were chopped on Oct 23, often times we are already covered in a blanket of snow or heavy frosts at that point. So not the norm.

They most likely would have been heavier producers had they been tended to, but it appears to me the quality is there! And really that's what matters. One of them smells as I expect Purple Satellite to smell with a grape smell, one smells more skunky with a hint of floral and the third is a mix of the others.

They were hung in a shed but the weather took a steep turn within days, -30 for a while. So they've froze more than dried. I checked on them and brought those pictured flowers home to check out. My concern is that there are some bugs, which is expected from outdoor, but I'm afraid to put my indoor at risk of pests. I'm not sure if the -30 kills pests or just puts them in hibernation.

So those flowers are resting on a wire rack in my garage (unheated) hoping for some drying so I can test them out. I considered the dehydrator but I don't want to ruin them with heat.

Mountain Gold, 35 days into flower. The mother of this cut finished in 63 days. I hope to do a better job with this one and will try to get another 5 weeks out of it. Large container mix of peat, rabbit poop and a bit of bedding along with the few crawly creatures that hitch a ride. Been on just rain water and got a small shot of fish and kelp last watering.
Just put a 3 week old cut under 12 hrs. Although it has not been topped I hope to keep it under 20", similar to what Tex did. The smells alone are reason enough to grow this strain. Vman, hoping your newest seed run for MG produces as well as the these grow. Very fast under my conditions with honker size colas that smell great. The smoke is daytime to sundown with no downside effects.
Hello Lotto!
Looking terrific there!
Looks like the stretch is done, The Oaxacan is a very robust solid strain and comes through in her crosses right up front and the Hawaiian adds just a touch of sweetness. I suspect all the seed will preform well and be very similar to what you are getting for results. Thrilled that you are enjoying her.
Thank you for posting and please keep us updated.

Ah I see, not sure about the temps minus bugs but unless they had mites on them for sure I wouldn't be to overly concered about bringing in pests, I bring plants in every year, with little incident but of course you need to feel comfortable. I have been spraying my mothers and veg plants with Nukem, as a preventative for pest and it covers broads and spider mites as well as powdery mildew, It is made with citrus oil I believe. Also I another wonderful natural preventative that I love to use is Murphy's oil soap
of coarse diluted in water, about 3 TBS/Gal it works great for killing spider mites, but I am not sure about broad mites. Anyway thank you much for posting, love to hear how they smoke for you.
Cheers!

I dont spray anything, I have no IPM regime. The only thing i do is add neem meal to my soil. So I have to take extra precautions. I've had gnats once before and spider mites once. I take no more chances haha.
If you look at the pictures you can see one mite on the paper. There are mites, I just can't tell if they survived or not. I left them in a jar at room temp for a couple days and saw no life so im assuming theyre all dead. I'll figure something out though, I am determined to sample this flower!!

Nice results with the Mountain Gold so far. Are you getting melon aromas? Mine started that way and then turned into a deep citrus, musky chemical cleaner type of thing. I think it will end up with a candy sweet smoke after a cure.

Wow, that Grape above us amazing, well done! Please give us a smoke report. ;)

Here is the Purple Michoacan x Oaxacan Gold...I have two of these purple phenos and one that is mint green. Battling an outbreak of little fucking fungus gnats because I decided to try some starter mix....grrr. :D

I would venture to say you are the very first persons on the planet to grow this cross and man I hope you keep us posted!
Is that the Purple Michoacan female X Purple Oax as the parents? Or the other way around? I ran them both ways, because I am seeing a lot of Oax in there.
Cheers!

Yes, it's the P Michoacan x P Oaxacan. I figured I would go with the Michoacan mom first. I have a couple different pollenation options if I get a female too. I'm very very interested in this one for sure. :)

Notice the purple tinge on the underside of the leaf. Bodes well for purple buds I bet! :)

I'm with Rob!
Those are just frosty nuggets of beauty!
Hey Tex!
What are you getting for smells are you getting and how many weeks did you go?
Was trying to figure out how many weeks in flower for the Mountain Golds, but not exactly sure. I'm guessing 11-12 on my 11/13 light schedule. They had a short veg too of only 3 or 4 weeks and were kept in small pots so not much stretch.

Will be watching this one TT !

Can also give a shout when my Mandala order shows up. Currently in transit are some PBB and Mountain Gold. Looks like new Mountain Gold being stocked in Jan there. I must have snagged the last of older stock, no matter. Next years run will be those, at least for now that's the plan.

That is influence from the Oaxacan Gold purple line I have seen that on the Purple Satellite, Zac and right now under the seedling leaf of Fem Grape. But yes it is a very clear indicator, but with the Michoacan's nearly black buds I would guess it is a guarantee.
but cannot wait to see, also very keen to see the bud to leaf ratio.
Cheers!

Candy pineapple num num. You have any new and interesting plans for the mulanje vtman? Any future crosses?
Hey Rob!
I must say I really love Mulanje she is the kind of cannabis that even makes seasoned tokers say what the hell was that! With a creamsicle honey on the tongue flavor.
I have made some successful crosses like Pineapple Banana bud,
which was quite wonderful and I did a cross with my Oaxacan Gold some years ago that was pretty outstanding, but unfortunately Mulanje still needs some serious work to be stabilized, of which I am keen to do someday. So in short no releases with Mulanje in the genetics, unless I can clear her up.
