Great pics dude. If you crop the pics a little they will post into the correct orientation. I'll snag a pic of my single cola GT thai girl before the chop, she has to come down early... too hot. Will try to finish her to full completion again around the new year. She's already gone 12 maybe 13 weeks flower and needs easy another month....

:tiphat:

Thanks Ncali! Very nice. some prefer the early smoke. Enjoy your Thai pheno bud

No worries, thanks! I love the pictures and the updates.

I'm always looking for what I want to order next. I've changed my mind hundreds of times but GT is always on the short list.

Ive just been looking at this and Im definitely very interested. Can anyone tell me about the smoke? the aromas? Im always looking for new aromas particularly exotic, tropical or earthy, organic musky, funky smells. Also, what phenotype variation/s would I see? Thanks

dubi the web site is out of fem Golden Tiger. know when have back in?

Greetings Borderliner, The previous GT fem is currently sold out and a 3rd version is being tested, Thai Chiang Mai being added to the mix.

The original is still in Regular.

Am looking forward to the new release. Going to be very special no doubts there!
The Thai Chiang Mai x KaliChina fems I just tested are providing lovely nostalgic Thai herb flavors and vibes.

Happy growing!

Greetings Spaventa ,
Thanks for the interest in GT as you can see by the popularity of posts on this topic , this plant is a special one and definately worth your interest to grow it. The Regs are available still and provide a great introduction to the powerful Ace Seeds genetics offered. Thai is a very strong herb cerebral and energizing , combined with the heavy weight Malawi resins and you can be sure of a smoke that will have you very pleasantly high and for a long long time!
Flavors range from Thai lemony to incense and woody oilness of the Malawi. Heavy yields also.
Check the start of this thread or goto the Ace Seeds Webpage and under each strain sold you get very detailed descriptions and there is even additional info which details genetics, effects and flowering times , all you need to make your choice and grow yoyrself a great herb tree!
Happy growing!

Hi, thank you :) When you said incense and woody in the same sentence, I was sold, Im ordering regulars definitely as Ive been after a male to experiment with breeding.
Ive grown a few Ace strains the last few year, notably Purple Haze x Malawi so I know those oily tones you mean.
I did it side by side with Panama Haze last time but I intend to devote a grow to each of them as I have more seeds in the refrigerator.
I also grew Tikal which was actually my favourite of the three at the time and now I have a packet of the latest updated version which is actually my next thing to pop. I have probably 30 other seeds in there because Ive regretted it bitterly when Ive passed on releases in the past and then see the strain become elite because the parents were lost or whatever - original Kali mist for example, or the Nevilles haze he did back at greenhouse. I grew the old nevilles and didn't keep a mother and have lamented it ever since. I digress. Thank you kind sir, I appreciate your detailed descriptions - they convey so much I feel like I smoked some with you :thank you:

edit - AND you gotta love that name don't ya?:tiphat:

Dubi, you can launch the 3 versions

Golden Tiger # 3 generation
Silver Tiger # 2 generation
Bronze Tiger # 1 Generation

Zamaldelica #1 ( zamal x golden tiger 1 )
Zamaldelica #2 (zamal x golden tiger 2 )
Zamaldelica # 3 (zamal x golden tiger 3)
Triple Thai Zamal ( Hmong x Ko Chang x Chiang Mai x Zamal)

Make a vote for anyone who tests all versions
All versions will sell a lot, some people prefer the first, the second, maybe the third.

Hi Ncali :)

It's a pleasure to see the original Golden Tiger F1 generation still being grown, thank you very much for supporting our work and for your interest in our different GT lines.

You really differenciated well the different phenos, from the more Malawi leaners to the ones with more thai influence.

I still believe the second, current and reworked Golden Tiger version is clearly superior to the old F1, but guess if you are a fan of this strain it's always interesting to have as many different generations of the strain as possible.

Of course, i will keep you all updated once the third GT version (Thai Chiang Mai x New Killer Malawi generation) is ready, the regular seeds of this third version are about to be harvested, while at the same time we are preparing outdoors the parental plants to produce a fem version of this third GT line.

Out of curiosity, how long are people running the latest Golden Tiger fems? I have one at about 10 weeks - the trics are cloudy with some dark Amber's, but pistils still are still white and haven't receeded

Hi mackdx,

10 weeks of flowering time is too early to harvest Golden Tiger, especially if she is still producing new fresh white pistils, that's a sign that she still can fatten up much more and that she haven't reached her peak of resin production yet.

Hi Ncali,

Congrats on the harvest of your original F1 GT version, it's really a classic expression of that first version of the hybrid, with many desirable traits from the Old Killer Malawi mother, maybe the first version doesn't have the quality of terpenes that current version has, but it is still strong as hell!

Wish you enjoy her ;)

Hi Knop,

I'm glad our work inspires your imagination to explore other interesting sativa combinations, that's a good sign.

I prefer to be a bit more 'down to earth' and be cautious until we reach new interesting sativa breeding achievements, anyway your ideas are much appreciated, thanks!

Coming back to Golden Tiger topic, i'm very happy with the current state of Golden Tiger in its second version (especially the fem version) with 2 differernt thai strains and with our 2 best Malawi parental plants, and by now i have no plans to change its genetic composition. In fact, we are in the process to produce more GT fem seeds following the same successful genetic recipe that have provided so nice results since late 2014. The same for current GT regular version.

The first GT version cannot be replicated exactly the same again, as that concrete Meao Thai male was gone long time ago. But anyway this don't bother me much, as this male has already done his contributions in many lines like Zamaldelica regular, Golden Tiger, Haze x Thais Double Thai, etc ...

The third GT version that is also being currently produced (both in regular and fem format) with the third thai (Thai Chiang Mai) is just an extra line and something we will need to test properly before evaluate whether it will be released or whether it will be included in future GT's breeding.

GT very early flowering

GT very early flowering

Hey all, I just wanted to share a picture of my Golden Tiger this week. She is doing very well in overall health. She has had pistils developing for just over a week now. I don't have any close up pictures of individual nodes of growth. Mostly pistil pairs at this stage all over. Peace

GT is first plant in center aisle. I had Ganesh from Mandela around for several years. The Golden Tiger will be around until I'm taking a dirt nap. Peace :tiphat:
