its verified GDP. as bongsong said, i cant hook u up. if u got a script visit Doctor's Orders in Sac.

as for bongsong, your so helpful! as i read your post, michael jordan's name came to mine. lets just say he made the all star team.
Questions about clones tho. 1. will i harm my 'budsites' if i take clones? 2. When is the best time? 3. is it better to take 1, make it a mother and then clone off of that?

lets see some pics of ur LST!
No you wont harm ur budsites when you take clones...the best time to take em is in veg so they root faster and grow better once rooted...yes clone from them and then you can make those clones ur mother plants and you can continue to clone from them...or instead of mothers you can clone form a clone from a clone from clone ect. if you see what i mean, it eliminates the need for a mother freeing up space...this is what i do and im very happy with it, it also frees up the maintence that goes into keeping mother plants.

Good luck!

Nice work, they'e bushing up now, won't be long for the fast growth. Try keep that leading tip below the others where possible, for now it's all good the other tips are responding, they respond fastest when above the leader.

You see on the new leaves, where there is a slight browning on the very tip of your plants - this is how I look at my organic grow to determine if the girls have enough to eat. Tips like that tell me yes they're fed. Sometimes a plant is fed but only deficient in one area, the plant problems section is worth a read, and feel free to use the folks over there to help you if you need it. They, like myself, enjoy helping.

Leviticus will be able to help you with feed schedule etc, as you know, my gardens a freak.

On clones - 2 off each plant, or 3, and keep the best, the most rigorous, of each. Then when the mums are done, you can tell from them which you want to keep. Run all four through again as they'll be ready then, but next lot of clones, only clone the plant/s you most desire, and you can grow four favourites, instead of hit and miss.

I'm chompin at the bit here, there are shade leaves next to me, I'm looking at them, and my papers.....

4 weeks to go - Bring it on!

yes i did notice burning, but infact, i have just kept the ppm constant because the new growth had looked the healthiest i had seen it. Now i think the plant is at the stage where it can handle the 700ppm, so i will just wait a week and up it to 800. I'm a noob, so i know thats probably stupid. =\ but again, all the new growth is perfect. i even see leaves covered in droplets of resin! so amazing

about lst: as the new growth tips grow out, is it my job to tie these down/away from other shoots [or will they reach for the light and do this themselves? and 2. do i just keep lowering the main growth tip? im just a little confused, i read of a circle stem too =O

Basically with LST you are trying to keep a flat top on your plant (even canopy)

As the side shoots become leaders they too can be tied down but let them get some growth first. Some people work it NSEW, namely, try and get a leader heading in all 4 directions. The trick is to try and cover your space while going up in height as little as possible.

The buds generally only perform well in the light. LST puts maximum bud exposure where you want it. Don't worry about getting it perfect, enjoy the process and your girls bushing out way faster than they would growing vertical.

With indica varieties be aware you want the bottom of the plant raised slightly off the bottom of the planters to avoid mould. (and sativa, but indica more importantly so as they tend to mold a lot easier.) This is not so important now but as you go into flower we'll talk about this too, and how you can keep your plants well aired. They'll pull up of the bottom themselves, and you'll be trimming it clear, but not yet.

My very fast finisher phenotype has just made it's first amber trichromes - at 5 weeks! Shame it isn't as strong as the others, or grow as good, still, I'm saved from the shade leaves, going to trim these extremely fast tops off over the next weekish and let the wee buds under them get some light. As for the winner, damn what a beautiful budset, must get you a photo. She's got 3-4 weeks to finish yet.

I couldn't believe it, I had it documented at 6 weeksfinish which I found hard to believe then but it was done...

Yay for genetic anomalies!

Hey hey, and it's off!

Tried the bud today. Pretty damn good for a crash dry I forgot what I was doing trying to make a cup of tea then couple of hours later couldn't finish sentences when talking to neighbour.

It's the plant on the left, you can see in mid picture where I've been at it some buds are missing from the canopy.

The keeper, so far anyways it has the vote, is this one, buds are fat all the way down no wispy crap.

Thanks Vigilo

My system started cold (winter) and so I could barely feed the fish as low temps mean hardly any bacteria working on the wastes. I added a heater and nutes going into flower plus a bed (ebb & flow) that had active bacteria to help process things.

This is a 400 watt grow too. I now use 1 tsp fish pellets per day, and at 1 day flower and 20 days flower added -

15 ml EJ Grow, 30 ml EJ Bloom, 15 ml Liquid Kelp, 10 ml molasses.

VERY light on nutes, just to top it up a bit as this is an ecosystem and it's gearing up for the next grow still. Next grow will be tweaked out buckets and all sorts of companion plants in there, can't wait, though summer can get bitchin hot in there.

I reckon there's 5 maybe 6 elbows there. I could have better results vegging bigger but again, it's cycling up, didn't want to push my luck.

I only just learnt to take a photo yesterday, I'm a proud dad of me new photos too

man, you must have a lot on your mind. I bought some EJ 3-part 1 quart each, but i figured organic would be too hard to begin with, so i went with the AN products.

im getting worried though. I took off my door to the grow room, and im afraid i need to seriously redesign. I want to cover the doorframe with some light proof material that will allow me to get in and out. i also need to vent my room now.
for that i was thinking either a inline fan/scrubber/diy cooled reflector.....or i could buy a blower, leave the batwing reflector, and circulate the whole room. My temp are climbing to 80 though with my current setup. any ideas?

The fan/scrubber/air cooled reflector sounds very good, and with those girls I reckon you're going to need to get rid of smell. Air circulation is an important aspect of the indoor grow even more so with LST as you get such good coverage. The temps are high but in veg wont/shouldn't cause too many problems just wont get optimal growth.

Go organic in future, once you're used to the hydro and hardware, I'll walk you through it with pleasure. I swear by EJ, 2nd favourite nute, pure fish food and no supplements is favourite, incredibly smooth, but the EJ is never a compromise for flavour or quality seems it's as natural as fish shitting.

Lot on my mind? Well, I'm experimenting so I try to keep track. The Aquaponic system, once built and cycled, requires only feeding and water top ups. But if you are mad like me, you got to follow natures cycles in one just to map the happenings. Nature cools things in winter and bacteria don't work so well AND at the same time fish eat a lot less, another buffer by Mother Nature...

My scientist buddy e-mailed yesterday, he just lost about 5000 endangered fish! His fault too he ignored a very basic rule.. Now that's a lot on your mind. I've built a breeding Aqua tank that has even 'never breed in tanks' fish spawning. I'm gonna help bring these fishies population back.

Lot on my mind perhaps, but it's all good!

Have a wonderful day dude, I'm off to a rock concert YEAHH!

im starting to see roots make their way from under my pots! is this bad for them? should i elevate my pots? do i need to or can i just let the roots find their way?

Hmm, can I see a photo?

What size are the buckets they are in?

Runaway roots can be tamed but if they're not causing any clogging or damage or being damaged I say let em run riot.

Check out my auto siphons and standpipe drains in the goldfish thread. You could convert that entire square bed into an ebb and flow bed. If you cropped everything around the same time it'd be sweet. More space for plants roots, less hardware and power to run it, only one place to clog/maintain.

Not saying you should, just something to consider.

so i want to turn this purple kush into a mother clone. i also will take a cutting from my best GDP clone. I want to make these two mothers! how big of a space will i need? How much wattage (i want to use flouros)? what do u think bongsong

G

OK, Mothers...

Bonsai Mums

Top read so get stuck in. That'll also explain the space you need.

Can't really help on the flouros though I have a flouro bit it's crap so wont tell you how it's done :muahaha: All I can say is every time I try put flouros on a timer I blow them up. :puppydoge

Awesome news on your new girl. Jealous!

I will have 3 revegged bonsais soon (not the real fast finisher, it's out cos it doesn't crop well enough).

I'm putting em tucked under other stuff in the greenhouse to hide em till we're positive which is the best. Also want to see what they're like as bonsais, how they clone, how they finish, dry & cure...

There are strains out there that would perform better yield wise. Some even WAY better. The phenotype that gets knocked isn't getting knocked solely because of yield , it's about quality, It'd take magic beans to beat the smoke I get off the big chunky phenotype.

Thing is with home grown - Sure we'd all love the biggest bud on the block or the biggest yield under xxx watts...

What are your goals in growing. Keep it simple, don't be ruled by fear or greed. Fear will see you never growing, or growing so little you're still running out. Greed will see you out of your league and then only luck will keep you out of trouble. A big stash draws predators of many types. It makes a fingerprint that can be detected, especially by the greedy novice.

My goals are quality - the best quality smoke I can grow for myself, and quantity - enough not to run out. My two planters, run 3-4 times per year, is enough.

The obsession to grow tons of it has never left me. But this is not because it's a goal, it's like wanting to sleep with every hot chick you meet (and most the not so hot ones come on now!) Some folks want it enough they grow a field, or plow many fields... :nono:

What am I trying to say? Whatever your goals are, take it cautious, keep it simple, keep it subtle, learn as you go, and enjoy the journey.
