okay guys bare with me a lot of news!
So, due to my lifestyle, I had to leave my grow for 2 weeks.
I set my ppm to 1500, filled my res to the max capacity, left my clones (watered) and peaced hoping for the best.
I came back before my lights turn on so i checked my clones first.
My purple kush cut and bubba kush cut were both dried out.. I didnt smother the pot in water, and i realize my mistake now. I had about 10 GDP clones in a bubble cloner, all had rooted some massive, but i saw webs on my clones! SPIDER MITES. i sprayed with some neem i had left, but i was so mad about my clones dying, i picked the best gdp clone from the bubbler, and planted it in some new soil in purple kush's old pot hopefully that will take off, and i ditched about 8 rooted gdp clones..
It not a big loss, Ill go back and get more cuts...
Now, I checked on my big girls expecting the worst. luckily they were BEAUTIFUL (plus the whole place reeked [stupid odorsok is garbage])
I did see some mites on my plants however, and seeing that they are so late in flower it is frightening. My next post will be some pics.
I plan to place a NPStrip hangin under the canopy, and then i have to leave AGAIN for 10 days. talk about taking chances. All i did was refill the water, add nutes and changed to a ripening formula (AN overdrive). When i come back, i expect to flush fro 3-4 days (first flush with clearex, rest with h2o)
It will be fun to see what happens!
Sorry bout ya clones but going away for a fortnight you did ok.
How much damage can mites do in a fortnight? Question worth having an answer to. If you post in the infirmary someone 'mite' know.
I've been fighting pH. I'd rather fight mites. Oh guess what! This'll piss you off/make you jealous/be pleased for me. My huge tomato in the greenhouse got culled so I can train another onto the roof properly. In the bed was practically a worm farm and lots of other critters. Anyhoo, bit of a story (you know me)...
I transplanted the bulk of the tomato plant into part of a nasturtium bed to let the existing crop finish. This bed is a new invention of mine that, when I want it to, floods above the crop to knock insects back (and flushes em out for fish food omg this thing rocks).
So.... In a flood cycle I notice all these little critters crawling out of the lavarock and up onto the tomato stem... predator mites!
Now installed some in my growroom beds, where a population of white? mites? (eat compost type mite critters) should keep them fed.
See why I'd rather have mite problems...
I saw two mites yesterday, must've been mating, ass to ass joined and running around like that one forward one backward.
So that's where Dr Doolittle got the push-me pull-you from!
lol love ur posts bongsong im always down for a bit of a story!
hopefully that no pest strip is working as im leaving me plants unattended again til the 4th. then i will probably flush on the 5th depending on trichs
alright guys!! thank you to everyone who has been watching my grow, or just participating in the thread! a special thanks to bongsong, and the ic crew because without this site my result would have been pretty bad
WEIGH IN
Kwame = 15.3g
Ach. = 18.9g + some that i've smoked
Hope = 28.7
MJ = 26.3 + 3.0 in water cure
Increasing the yield could be as easy as vegging for longer and using the better yielding strains you have - though one grow doesn't really say which is better as there's many differing needs with differing strains.
You didn't kill them, I killed a few plants lately....
Simply let them get bigger before you flower them and you'll do better
yeah that is true bongsong, but i think if i didnt have pest issues, it could have been better =) all in all, this will definitely last me til next harvest, bubba kush =) thanks bs
