good job dude, i dont know if you already mentioned but i read through and didnt see mention. WHat all nutes and how strong were your giving the bottom feed plants? im about to start a 600w coco grow with maxibloom and im just wondering what you used, my maxibloom grows in the past have always had bad defeciencies or something but im thinking its just bad soil ph so im trying straight coco this time.

Same as I used in my hempies - ran maxi 7g lucas, with kool bloom shots during flower and then water flush at end. Once I got my bearings they seemed to enjoy it fine. I really struggled with not adjusting the ph correctly this grow in the beginning myself.

no calmag or anything? my tap ppm is like 50-60 so ive started just adding calmag til the ppm of water is like 200-250 before i add nutes im gonna look into kool bloom, i was at the hydro store looking at house and garden nutes the other day and when i saw the price of the whole line i exited quickly and decided to just keep workin with maxibloom and figure that shit out. ever notice ph of your nutes swinging up or down if you dont use it all at once?

Oh ya cal/mag and silica blast too, dunno why I forgot those - mixing nutes so automatic now. Definitely need that calmag with my water as well.

My ph dips so low with the whole regimen it took a ton of ph up this grow so I might try some of the dry stuff or another brand other than GH soon.

Thanks Bag! Will get those reports up for sure when ready.

Thanks Chloemobile, got that C99 in the freezer curing away now.

Tent as of today (heat wave!)

Getting LEDs from the start is making a noticable difference in early frost production. The big fans and their petioles have a lot of visible trichs already whereas there were none on the previous harvest when they vegged without it.

Day 68

DF is fading out nicely during the flush.

Other DF finishing.

SDG fattening up. Never looked all that healthy but the buds still came through.

New girls growing up. Really gotta get that AC set up but they are handling the heat really well.

Was gonna chop the SDG this weekend but it looks like it could use more days yet.

Thanks root! The new batch of clones this time around are so much healthier, but they didn't get nearly the optimal light distancing so it'll be interesting to see how they do. Once I get the DF/SDG out of there they will really be able to stretch out. I think I am going to shut'er down for the summer after this run since I will only have time for one more anyway before I gotta pack it up again so I'll just concentrate on continuing to shape the bonsai mothers for a few months to give me something to do.

The clones that started 12/12 right away didn't really stretch all that much it seems so they will stay real low. Much darker green than the other plants, much more frosty.

Just vaped a small popcorn nug that is freezer curing still, great fruity flavor and definitely has that zippy c99 buzz everyone talks about - wrote way more than I planned on here!

Whole tent update. Day 76 Diesel Fire, Day 43 older clones (two shorties up front), Day 19 Newer clones (taller ones in back)
Small C99 in the solo cup up front with a couple of tomatoes.

C99 that started 12/12 as a fresh clone. Only got about half the height of the ones that got some veg time.

Fan/petiole resin. This plant will make some nice oil.

Chopped the SDG down a few days ago at day 72. Drip clean comparison.

Both DFs look like they can go at least a few more days so I will postpone chop and keep checking them throughout the week. A lot of people took theirs around the mid 70s from what I have seen. Almost done with the first run, it's been fun and educational :tiphat:. Thank you all for following along.

Are you going to bottom feed again next round? Plan in making any adjustments?

Hey Chloem I'm going to eek out every last bit of swell on these that I can, got the C99s for the daytime smoke hehe. They are getting the chop within a few days tops though so not much longer.

Yea sticking with bottom feeding next round as well, but not gonna be starting until around october after this new batch is done. This 1.5 run has been a good deal better than the first, got the nute ratios and ph adjustment closer this time. Eventually I'll switch to a more coco-ideal nute regimen but for now I will use up what I have. I should mention that for the new run i have in there I stopped flushing altogether except for the end and just feed from the top instead of flushing weekly.

Bottom feeding plus freezer curing is the ultimate lazy man way of growing and storing!

Thx cheese!

Diesel Fires came down today, day 78.

DF#1 - Finished to an almost wine-colored purple hue. This plant really blew up the side branches pretty much all on its own and made a fair number of dense tops. Smells like dirty burnt sour fuel.
K8V1IoT.jpg

DF#2 - My favorite of the two. A red/purple color and smells like a musky fruity og with a little bit of fuel in the background. More interesting and has the bit of sweetness I like. Not nearly as prolific or strong of a grower compared to #1 however. Hopefully there will be a winner in the C99 pollen chuck crosses.

So now that the Diesel Fires are out of there the 6 plants (plus a couple solo cups) get a little room to breathe and stretch out.

Done with the barrage of updates for now, will be back when theses plants get a little more interesting. Looking forward to seeing how they do topped and trained this time around.

great grow show bro, blown away. some really nice colours showing.. i have a few P-ll 55w lying around used to veg clones with, after reading this decided to chuck them in my flower room as side lighting.. your pictures say it all.

where did you get the LED lighting from? did you make it...just curious? they have very little heat and depending on the watt you can get them pretty low so perfect for supplement lighting..

Right on dreadlock, thanks for stopping by. Yea these PLLs are so nice for micro spaces. Great lights with a pretty complete spectrum all on their own and the cost is hard to beat. The LED addition seems to have really rounded out any missing portions.

I ended up ordering the parts for the LED strips from RapidLED. There are a number of DIY places selling the pieces you need, ModularLED, and StevesLED for other examples. Ordered the pre-tapped and drilled heatsink with the solderless diodes, putting it together was a snap.

I have to say the angle of the CREE diodes make it so having it distanced where the PLLs are "ideal" doesn't seem to capture their full potential. The Philips REBEL seems to be a bit better in that regard but they both penetrate down a lot deeper than the PLLs do. I also noted that the diodes being as close together as they are seem to block a bit of the side light dispersion due to the size of the solderless connections.

I am noticing in this run that the lower branches and buds are actually putting out more trichomes perhaps than the very tops. This was first noted in the earlier pic of the diesel fire lower nug that just seemed covered in trichs and I believe this is why. The small straight-from-clone C99s that are down lower are just absolutely caked in trichomes compared to the previous run. Once I figure out the optimal distancing for melding of both lights I should be getting some sticky results!

Chopped one of the small C99s that started immediately 12/12 as a clone. Day 55 chop. This time it finished more "dome" like with a good fruity punchy smell. Didn't flush or fade it out nearly as heavily as I will with the bigger plants (which have about 3 more weeks) but I am going to oil it so it shouldn't be a big deal. It is the less sticky of the two shorty C99s which is a nice thing!
