I would go with the indica phenotype on Ultra sour & MLI and sativa phenotype on the sat dom mothers you have (KM, Destroyer & Durban) if you're chucking pollen just for fun...

Real breeding advice would be to use the one who's bringing the best traits (from you own perspective of course) after testing progeny of each hybrids...

I would like to make some crosses with some hemp var. perhaps get some intersting CBG CBD ratios. Although so Many cbd var are already available now but perhaps some fast finishing hardy outdoor stuff with alot of cbd would be nice to toss out a patch make some hash/ or for lotions and edibles/tincture/RSO to be able to give away.

ya depends on your goals, sativa effects? flowering times? smell or taste? f1 "hybrid" vigor ie crossing very dif plants to get vigor. or keep indicas cross with more indicas and sativa hit with more sativa.. You can always do both few branches of each, OR just use both males at same time to keep variety/ slightly larger gene pool.

Thx mate, Shanti says that the sativa pheno is kinda like SSH but less strong and that the indica pheno is stronger and tends more towards the Spice. Reading different grows, both seem to flowering in same length.

I'm running some of Peak Seeds gear. Northernberry, Sweet Skunk, Kush Skunk, SSxC99. Debating on cracking some Burmese by JOTI and doing a SS and Burmese pollen chuck. Hmm.. if not this grow likely the next!

Thx as well mate for stepping in, I'm after the strongest effects, taste, yield and reduced flowering times. The sat pheno seems to have more yield and the indica seems to have the better taste, effects and most probably flowering time.

Does it make sense to cross SSH with the sat pheno which looks very like SSH or would it make more sense to use the indica for better taste & effect? I would think the indica would be better suited.

Maple Leaf has a huge yielding pheno which would match the high yielding Spice sativa but the indica pheno of Spice would be A great fit for taste.

Ultra sour should go with the indica Spice pheno IMO

KM & Destroyer both with the Indica pheno to keep taste, effect and bring flowering times down.

Durban Poison, I would prefer the Indica Spice pheno as I'm sure that They would match well on taste & effect.

I really want to make some serious sativa crosses have some nice genetics i need to work with. Thai super skunk. chocolate thai, a5thaiXhaze, panama, satori. really want to get some congolese in there aswell.

Have really been meaning to work this line blueberryXred dragon colorful fruity magic in them with premium comfy clearheaded buzz. gave away most of the beans and need to get on it before loose any more to old age.

. Gotcha MJP and are there one or two crosses that you feel look more interesting than others? From my end, and when looking at flowering times, the destroyer and KM crosses présent the most benefits. SSH doesn't need Spice to be great for example buy then again you never know what nature Will give you and there are always unexpected nice surprises.

My first round of pollen chucking involved one of the dark horse genetics hulk smash (bruce banner #3×strawberry diesel) that hermied. I collected pollen and hit a hso blue dream, relentless genetics orange glue, and hulk smash sister.

The f1 blue dreams (hulk's dream) got the yeild of blue dream with high resin production from hulk smash. I'm currently re running 2 phenos, one sativa leaning and one indica leaning. The f2 hulk smash looked and grew similar to its parents. No complaints there. The I've got 3 hulk smash×orange glue going that I just gifted to a friend to grow out.

The other project involves green point seeds copper chem. I grew out 6 beans and of that I got 1 male that I flowered and collected pollen from. He stayed in a small pot, and I abused him pretty good. Crazy pollen sack clusters that looked like buds. I collected a bag of pollen and knocked up one of his sisters, and my favorite hulk smash cut. I've got 2 copper hulks going now, and have plans of hunting through beans from both crosses this winter.

Depends what and how many traits you want to stabilise and how many outcrosses you make, as well as how much genetic material the plants used already share.


The first step is defining what it is you'd like to stabilize.

Yes you can, you can cross them by using STS to make one of them produce male flowers and use that to pollinate the other.
