Coronavirus: Trump warns of US retaliation if Modi doesn’t allow hydroxychloroquine export

Last week Trump said that he has sought help from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to allow the sale of Hydroxychloroquine tablets ordered by the US to treat the growing number of coronavirus patients in his country, hours after India banned the export of the anti-malarial drug.

"I spoke to him Sunday morning, called him. I said, we appreciate you allowing our supply to come out, if doesn't allow it to come out, that would be ok. but ofcourse there may be retaliation. why wouldn't be there?,” Trump told reporters during a press briefing at the White House on Monday."

And now the snake oil salesman trump is trying to peddle a 'remedy' that just happens to be manufactured by a company donny owns stock in.

Huntington Beach Social Distance Fail Amid Coronavirus Closures
While 62 people in Huntington Beach were under quarantine or hospitalized due to positive coronavirus cases, far more strolled the shore.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — Social distancing reached an even more elevated level of importance, over the weekend, as Huntington Beach filled with visitors, it was reported.

Dog beach was the major fail, according to the Huntington Beach police department, though officers were on hand to remind residents to stay apart from one another.

Smith described attendance at much of Huntington Beach's shores were in the "dozens, not hundreds," the opposite was true at the dog beach around 17th Street, he said Saturday.

"There are hundreds of people," with officers reminding them to keep their distance.

When the waves are breaking clean at Huntington or The Wedge at Newport, failure to surf might be regarded as a far more serious offense among the locals, than failure to maintain social distance, all else being equal.

To hard-core brethren of the Hang Ten, surfing is not a matter of life or death. It is far more important than that.

when they handed out the Stupidest Doctors, I think my county was first in line.

They have some idiot who cites studies done with other viruses, to advise the public about the DANGERS of relying on a cloth mask. he says the tiny semi-airborne piece of mucus will land on the cloth and dry out, and the virus will then be sucked into the mouth.

Except he's quoting an old study that was not done on Covid19, and he never sources the study.

Meanwhile, Dr. Chris Martenson covered the Suay something mask study.

They compared many many different fabrics, relative to a 0.3 micron size virus particle, e.g. Covid19.

Found out that standard (blue) Machine shop Rags are THE BEST, did the best job at capturing very very small particles.

i found that if i fold the machine shop rag (a square) so that it makes a big triangle, i can tie the ends of the rag behind my neck, like when you are wearing a bath towel.

it held snug for about 20 minutes when I was at Walmart today, no strings or elastic banks necessary.

are other people re-using their masks, or, a new one every time ?

i'm boiling an N95 mask right now.

Supposedly you can microwave them for 2-3 minutes. Unless they have a metal nose strip.

I've been placing mine in a 200 degree oven for 45 minutes, though 30 minutes is all that's needed.

If you have the sun, 9 hours will work as well.

I'd read the COVID-19 particle was .1 micron, but that it is typically attached to larger molecules, thus, a .3 mic N95 or similar is sufficient (though, as stated, the N95 can't compare in the face-seal dept)..

We have a collection of different masks, from home-sewn double-layered flannel (with purple unicorn patterns) for less intense settings, to an old recycled N95 mask, to 4 (2 each) of the 2 different types of GVS Elipse P100s, one for VOCs and particulates, and one for particulates, both in a .3 mic rating, but claim that they may also stop smaller.

The flannel is best suited to boiling, the N95 Smithsonian model (no center exhaust vent, just a solid mask) is aired out regularly, and we alternate the VOC Elipse and particulate Elipse from town trip to town trip, depending on setting, once again, typically simply letting them air out in a dry atmosphere, and paying attention to Johns-Hopkins stated life-time for the virus on various surfaces.

None of them are ever bagged after use, until they've aired sufficiently for several days and are completely dried.

The Elipse masks are a food-grade silicone base (??), and can be wiped out with Lysol or Clorox wipes, once the filter cartridges are removed. For that matter, with the claim being the virus dies at 130 f. (I'd give it 10 more degrees f. for a greater sense of assuredness), a person could probably dip the Elipse masks, minus the filters, into HOT H2O.

Otherwise, time and UV/sunlight.

Still need to build the UV light box, but didn't score the materials in the hardware yet; focused on finishing up the lighting in my cabinets.

Detroit mayor says new case virus stats were doubling every 2-3 days back in mid march.
Today they are doubling every 5-7 days.

went to a liquor store for some beer, the door was wide open as to not have to touch the handle, had a sign that only 5 customers allowed in at a time, I go in there are the 6ft spaced lines of tape and there is one person checking out, she leaves so I am the only customer in the store, I start looking over the beer selection, all of a sudden I hear "move faster"

I turn around and see some lady with a mask on adjusting some bottles on a wine shelf, I look around from wall to wall, still the only one in the store, and say are you fucking talking to me? and then walked out, the guy at the register just had his head hanging when I walked by

fuck small business, she chooses to be open

The Lung Scarring that occurs in approx. 1 to 2% of young patients that semi-recover is very much worth learning about. The basic effect of is constant lung pain, and your lungs aren't there when you need them.

I'm not sure if this means Apple will be making Personal Oxygen instead of personal computers. I wonder if those recovered younger patients will tend to be like Piney in SoA. He has the oxygen tank and tubes in his nose until Ron Perlman kills him.

The fancy name is Pulmonary Fibrosis.

I thought Cystic Fibrosis might be a lung thing, but I never looked it up. It is a lung thing.

I would go far, far out of your way to make sure you don't end up with that.

I made an industrial mistake when I was younger involving airborne zinc oxide polishing dust in a lapidary factory.

They had a really stupid set-up, with a Russian guy who sold Jade slabs on the and smoked cigarettes in between polishing sessions. Totally immune - it seemed - from breathing mineral dust.

Anyway I am super motivated to avoid that Lung Scarring fate.

Since many of us are Cannabis smokers, it would really suck to see one's Cannabis smoking days end. Especially if you use it for medical.

I like edibles but as I get older, I find I can't eat them every day.

I don't want to find out how Covid19 affects people's Cannabis consumption habits.
