No, nobody would be interested. Especially not me.

X2, The above said seed offer made a long time lurker sign-up.. 8)

That being said, Been reading and studying hard in this long ago found on google thread.. got all caught up and ended up reading it thru.. Amazing... Newbie surfing to help his own little DP from seed garden grow.. Your Purple DP looks like it may be a rare BlueBerry x Durban cross - wide short leaves.. that back to Thai for the high flyer version...

Outstanding..... :tiphat:

Thanks for the interest guys. I can't thank you enough. When I send the tester seeds off to seedbay, Ill include a list of forum members who are interested in being testers. At that point, I imagine they will reach out to you here for your safe addie, and then the seeds will be on their way.

Hmm ill probably have to send Oldpink an updated list through PM even after sending. Im sure there will be later comers to the party who want to grow them out as well.

Reiko, we'll put you at the top of the list for being a tester. Thanks for sticking around here for so long, and wanting to grow some out! I hope you'll be pleased with what you end up with.

Crossbones, its awesome you decided to sign up! Now you can become part of the community, and hopefully we'll see some Durban Poison pics from you here in the future. Im gonna go ahead and put you on the list since you seem devoted and you moved beyond lurker :).

Ive never smelt anything like blueberry in this cross, but there is some berry smell to be found in some of the ladies. The berry smell is more like what you may find in a sweet Skunk variety. Blueberry x Durban does sound pretty nice though. Never grown any blueberry before myself.

Once I do some more testing with the Durban Thai hybrids, and Im satisfied I hope you'll want to test those as well in the future, or anyone else interested in the hybrid.

Thanks again for following along guys, and contributing. I hope you'll have seeds in hand in the near future and growing out some beautiful ladies.

Hey Dave, I'm always down to run some testers. My grow op might be jammed packed right now but I'm sure I can find a few spots some where to grow a few beauties of yours :tiphat:. Sorry to hear a few other testers stepping away from Icmag lately. Your grow op is on the up and up. You got a real clean grow going man. Hope you keep on destroying them genetics.

Thats great news Dr.King. Im stoked to have you grow some of these lovely ladies out. I know how hard it is to juggle lots of plants, so Im honored you'd squeeze a few more in to help out. Judging by the plants in your albums, Id say they're in very good hands. :tiphat:

Thanks for the kind words too. I love my garden, and I try to do right by the boys and girls, but there's always more I can do for them.

Thankyou Jake! I appreciate it. I hope to keep the good stuff coming!

The seedplant durbans were by far the best looking plants bar none. Im glad you like em. I do too! Although each run I did by clone/reveg afterwards wasn't as impressive as the original seedplant run. Those early seedplant ones had big chunky leaves, and fatter buds, but overtime the leaves got smaller and smaller under my MH, and half blue T5 bank. I believe this leads to smaller buds too. I mean how could it not. The fan leaves on some of the durbans shrunk by 50% in size between seedplant and now!

Im going to be making some changes in my garden to introduce some more HPS/red lighting to get those fan leaves large and fat again. Ill update on any improvements later on.

So far we've got 3 testers who want in on this, with 7 spots left. Ive got 10 vials of seeds prepared, with 10 seeds in each one. You should have no problem finding something nice with those 10 seeds. Get in on this now before the spots fill up. Im posting in a couple of other threads to fill up the roster quicker. Dont miss your chance!

Hi Dave! I would be honored to test out your DP, I think I even have space in my greenhouse for one this summer.

been following this for a while whats needed to get on the list?

Thanks for following along Right. I appreciate it. Although you dont have any albums of your ladies, you seem to have the same interest in fine Sativas as I do, so Ill add you to the list. Ill provide Oldpink/Seedbay with a list of ICMAG members who want to join in on testing. They will then get your safe addie, so do not send me any sensitive information. All I need are interested parties, and its great to see people wanting to help out. :huggg:
Sign me up :kos:

You are on the list sir. Let me slide that velvet rope aside for a moment.

I wish I had enough room to volunteer. Those genetics would be amazing to have in the garden :(

Its all great seeded. I hope you'll get to try em out one day! Im excited to see what others can do with these Durban under different conditions. It'll be exciting for all even those not growing them.

Shooters, Ive put you on the list. Congrats. You're gonna enjoy these ladies. Id love to see one in a greenhouse. All I can do is indoors, so I can't wait to see what you can possibly do. :tiphat:

Thanks Patrol. This has been a dream project for me for some time now. Still a long way to go, but hey were making progress!

Ill be purchasing my yogurt maker tonight, and be making some DurbanxThai Cobs in the near future, as well as some Thai Stick Cobs. The thai buds are weeks old, but Im sure cobbing them is going to be preferable to jar aged/cured method. Even if it didn't make it any stronger, I still prefer the cobs for storage reasons and cobbed buds burn nice and slow compared to these thai buds.

Yeah, I think Ive got a good pool of testers so far, so Im hoping this will go off without a hitch. There are still 4 spots open for anyone else wanting in!

Oh you know its gonna happen!:woohoo:

thanks Dave Coulier , pretty sweet opportunity. I totally missed the boat on affropips

I wish afropips was still breeding, but Im glad I managed to save this line from him. I really regretted not making repro seeds when I had his nigerian, and senegal haze. I butchered his malawi gold when I was a much worse grower. Now I make it a point to make seeds with any line I want to go back to even if Im unsure I want to go back to it. Regrets a bitch!

You'll be a very happy camper once you get to grow these out. Your friends will go nuts for the buds, but you wont want to share!

Its to sweat my cobs faster, and I can also heat/sweat cure my buds in jars placed inside the yogurt maker. You must read tangs thread on Malawi Cobbing. Some great pics in there of heat/sweat cured buds and cobs. Its a must read!

Shit Haze Harvest Update

Shit Haze Harvest Update

The final numbers are in for the lady. A paltry 2 oz from her. Not alot to fill the jars, but excellent smoke still. When the first word someone says to you is "Dude..." after getting to enjoy some, you know its good. I doubt he's ever had any Haze before, and he loved it. Made me happy that he enjoyed it, but no more Haze Hybrids for now. That day will come someday in the future when I run 5 Haze Hybrids side by side by side by side by side!!!! Thats gonna happen one of these days. Just something to look forward to. Haze Hybrid x DP, or Haze Hybrid x Thai sounds like another fun project too, but got to find some fine haze hybrid moms first.

Taste is slightly sweet, with a strong floral/incense flavor. Definitely takes after the Haze side.

Lets get some quick pics up for this lady to commemorate her life.

I appreciate the love. I never thought this grow journal would go on this long, or that so many people would enjoy it. Im humbled by all the support. :huggg: Ill do my best to try and stay updated on whats going on in my garden, and hopefully someday you and others will get to put their hands on some of my pet projects.

I still dont have a macro lens, but I zoomed in on the original pic in Lightroom 6, then printscreen, pasted to ms paint, saved as jpeg, imported back into lightroom 6, touched it up a little, and then exported it back to my desktop, uploaded here, and voila after all that we finally get a poor macro shot

I really really do not like stalks that are this long.. It makes for poorer quality dry sift, but hey it makes the buds look "frostier" at least. Dont be fooled! I prefer resin glands that appear to be mushroom heads because the stalks are super short. I saw this often with Sams HazeSkunk, but buds dont appear as frosty as a result. I hope to be able to show you what I mean someday with a good Haze Hybrid, or perhaps something else currently in the garden if Im lucky enough to have that.

Ive got an update on Big Bertha next. I snapped some nice pics of her tonight, I think will please you all!
