I am against people inbreeding with each other, but will give Soul a pass on doing that with pot as I now have the genetics/seeds I would otherwise not have. I too love good heirlooms so there is that too.

Result I am still searching for "ORIGINAL" C99. And not any of that sour grapefruit bud either. Only that pure Sweet Sweet Cindy99 will do the job and I won't settle for anything less.

Currently testing FDM C99 F2 from P.97 Grimm Stock.

I grew 10x C99's back in 2001-2002.

Loved her/it, great smoke.

Closest I've seen since then is Apollo 11 from TGA/Subcool.

He stopped advertising Apollo, I think he might have worked something out with Mr. Soul.

I grew F3's with the Apollo. That batch of F3's is definitely my "desert island" pot. Enough variety to make things interesting.

Some plants with resin like White Widow, but sweeter & bigger.

Subcool lost plants in the 2017 Mendo fire so at this point ...

Lost if you get old seed stock... And want to raise the germ rate look into a tissue culture seed starting kit... Really increased the germ rates on old seed stock... Basicly you steralise the seed... Its highly effective....

I have been considering that. I have 8 or so original f3's. As well as quite a few other varieties that are old and not germing. The old c99's are from GNO3 f2 and probably from 2004-5. Last time I was able to pop any was about 10 years ago. I tried a couple times since but no dice.

I have some FDM C99 that I am fairly close to being able to bloom. The few pics I have seen look very legitimate he also has, C88 x C99 out of stock and DTC99. I am interested in all of them. These initially look good, but only blooming them all the way will tell.

Thats definitely not true. C99 just needs to be topped repeatedly early in veg to be kept short and to branch out. Topping at the 5th node was the original recommendation. Old school Cindy grew long dense glistening fruity colas so dense they would cause the tops to flop over at the 5th week of bloom without support.

ran a few of these had the looks smell wasnt to special but the stone was lacking
