Alright Tribe.
I have put much thought and much work into this long quest. Not sure how much more I can put into this search.
However, recently I found someone from way back and he gave me hope as has the ol Duck.

Extra seeds? I got extras too. Hated to tear the pretty packs apart. I had terrible luck trying to germ my FDM C99 seeds. The ones that germed stalled as sprouts but two look to be ok to grow out of it.
Have 4 stalled sprouts and a couple seeds that broke the shell but failed to put out a tail. All the other seeds of the 2 packs are dead.

I'm looking for what LT is looking for, but I'd be quite happy if I found something like my original Brothers Grimm grapefruit pheno (lost it ten years ago). Those who have suffered with lesser versions wonder what was so special about it when old school heads wax on about its greatness. In addition to what LT has said, here's what to look for as far as the special traits possessed by the original:
1. Clones so easily you'll think you are a cloning genius.
2. Grows super fast in veg. (hydro).
3. Grows super fast in flower (45 days and done in hydro).
4. Smells very strongly of grapefruit and a tiny bit of rotten meat thrown in. It is NOT low odor.
5. Tastes exactly as it smells - and you can burn a roach of it later and it still retains the smell and flavor.
6. Soaring and searing high.
7. High lasts up to 4 hours solid.
8. No tolerance.
9. No indica comedown.
10. Low to medium yield.
11. Floppy stems.
12. Molds easily.
13. Never hermies.
14. High calyx to leaf ratio.
15. Looks primarily white (resin) and orange (pistols), with a little green (leaf).
16. It is very potent - speedy and active. Bigdaddydiddy correctly described it. It's slightly less potent than a good Jack Herrer, while taking a month less time to flower.
17. It's the only strain ever to possess the foregoing qualities.
That's why older heads like LT and myself are still in the hunt. And, no, LT - it's not your memory playing tricks with you, although I confess to often doubting myself this way as well. The reward is too great to accept that she may be gone forever. So, my next move is to get a couple packs of JW C99 and see what I get. If I get lucky, I will do what I can to get that old school Cindy in the hands of those who love her. I was too paranoid to be on the boards back when I had Cindy. And the only grower I knew outside of cyberspace only grew from seeds and had no interest in keeping a clone. With no one to spread clones to, I had no way of getting her back once I lost her. I don't want me or anyone else to be in that position again.

I hope his Cindy breeders packs have a better germ rate. I was very disappointed to find several very green seeds and even a white seed in my pack. Not a great start, imo.

JW's C99 will give you the baby poo rottenness that's what I get from them. I say they lean grapefruit and I did not find sweetness in any of them. They are definitely pure cindy by all means.
I have seen many like FMS that are clearly hybrids and believe mosca's are hybrid as well. JW's is pure that I can guarantee.
JW was never really posting anywhere that I could find so its hard to say where he took the line and what generation of seed stock he is producing at this point.
They are also not releasing any crosses or his A11 line. Didn't get much info from the place as to whether or not more is to come but I doubt it as its been well over a year now. So best guess is when that stuff is gone it might be gone for good. I threw 3 packs in the vault.
Hoping the FDM comes through.

Sounds good, LostTribe - I'm crossing my fingers for you. She's got to be out there somewhere. Another possibility - I see FOG just came out with a C99 - they're saying it is worked for an outdoor variety.

On the Jack Herer being stronger than C99 I only know the SSH, which is the same as Jack Herer to my knowledge, is not stronger than the C99 I have. The SSH does however lack euphoria for me anyways. I got the SSH at a pot shop.
FDM is gonna mail using a better method is all I will say now. No crushed seeds as he replaced the two packs I got with 20 more seeds in crush proof method.

I know Jack Herrer we grew original pre 2000 Sensi Seeds 2 packs out great stuff but took 70 days or more for the long ones. Less yield than some others so we only had a bit of that. I wish I had that back too. Never ran SSH.
The breeder pack is the way to go got 20 more for the vault packaged in a regular plastic vial and mylar packaging along with a bubble mailer.
So for everyone but yessum. The old school HS packaging was sweet to see but I had about half of the beans completely cracked and smashed by the good old mail. Was more than taken care of and if and when I order the Airborne G13 x C99(Generals Daughter aka FDM's version of Killer Queen), C88 x C99 or the DurbanThaiHiflyerC99 f2 I will probably go for the breeder packs just to stay on the safe side.
Yessum do you have anything to report? I have a few going and seeing a little variegation on the early nodes on a couple of them but it worked itself out at about the 3rd or 4th nodes on those affected.
Very uniform growth thus far. Some variation in height and rates of growth but I am excited to see more. I am waiting until they are decently presentable and will update here and there as I am pretty busy these days. I will try to dig out my camera maybe in a week or so as the biggest is just starting the 6th node set and I am going to top them as is normally recommended with real old school Brothers Grimm C99.

I have 5 good ones and one runt of the FDM C99. Have a Peak C99 in the mix too. I think I will flip them this weekend as they have quite a few nodes but are small as I have them in tiny pots or sharing a smaller pot.
My flower is all of 45 days so it is gonna be one quick finish. The Island Sweet Skunk is not doing well, have a runt, one not so good and two just died. Not sure what is happening cause the C99 is going strong as well as the F13.

How did I miss this thread! I've got my preferred cut of c99 from a pack of brothers Grimm new release right after they started selling it again. Thanks to everyone sharing info on this wonderful strain.
I've got 2 c99 clones going in my undercurrent setup that are 22 days into bloom. Previous testing of this cut was 19.38% thc .07% Cbd. That was harvested during week 7. She normally smells like flowery pineapples while growing and picks up a rotten smell after curing. The fresh frozen bho she makes is to die for. Very energetic high that will induce giggles in small doses. More than a little means nap time.

The New Bros Grimm was nice pot but still leaves me missing the original. Whether Soul's new release is different due to the male selected or maybe no longer holds the real Princess only Soul really knows at this point. I still highly doubt he holds Princess, maybe he used his P.75 or P.88 seed stock as the mother.
I found fuel and cat piss in the new C99 and it wasn't sweet and as tasty as the old stuff. Grew much different. Totally different except for the resin coating, different terps, longer bloom, no 5 week flop at the end etc. I could go on but I am over it and the search must go on.
Result I am still searching for "ORIGINAL" C99. And not any of that sour grapefruit bud either. Only that pure Sweet Sweet Cindy99 will do the job and I won't settle for anything less.
Currently testing FDM C99 F2 from P.97 Grimm Stock.
