GG glad to see you doing good brother. that tikal is sweet. the bangi has needed a little more nitrogen than I expected. but all and all looks good for the style your doing (all look good as far as that goes ) my bangi haze is slow to recover from my nitr. def. but they are starting to show signs of flowering along with my Malawi's so I figure yours should be on the same path. I will update my report in a couple days

stay safe GG

Hello flboy, Thanks for the kind words. But we both know those Bangis should be a lot bigger right now. They were very slow to sex for me. You say yours are starting to flower for you? How many daylight hrs. are you getting right now?
Looking forward to your update to see what the Bangis should look like.
Cheers GG

Im praying about some of my photos right now also. Might have to get some early photo seeds from reeferman this fall as it sounds like hes got quite a handle on genetics/breeding. At least my autos are flowering well now! :)

Gardens are looking good, guerilla! Little rain goes a long way! :) I've tried making cuttings outside before. I didn't think it really increases yield. Just too late to develop a root system. Interesting the bangi haze plants are looking hungry. I was thinking about the cardboard pots. When you planted them, did you cut slits in the pot before planting? Maybe the roots got restricted.

Part 2 of update:

Here is a pic of Tikal. She is a beast of a plant considering that all I did for this one was add 3/4 of a cup of blood meal to the soil when I planted her in the middle of a deer trail. She is about 6' or 182 cm. I pray she shows some flowers soon or there is no chance of her finishing before the freeze comes.

Shaman topped by a deer about a month ago, I super cropped one branch on the right.

The Pinewarp has a very nice structure and huge fan leaves. I really like this one so far.

These are the 2 Bangi Haze buried in cardboard pots. Looking a little on the yellow side.

Overall I'm amazed at the health of all plants. Very little insect damage.I did see grasshoppers in the area for the first time, and they can do damage fast. They have been getting rain every couple days now. Usually in the form of a fast and violent lighting storm.
I'll take it after a couple months of drought like conditions.

Hope everyone is having a great season.
Peace GG

all these plants look great even after the storm. i can see the health of the plants and they look amazing so far. u growing the bangi organic? u can hit them with a little mexican bat guano to fix the N def. i have found that 1 tbs of mexican bat guano and 2 tsp of frass kicks the ladys into high gear. im also about to apply my 2nd dose of regalia to the organic plot. i just hit plot5 yesterday with regalia and frass. i do know one thing my Dela's are the biggest they have ever been in the last 3 years that i have been growing this strain. all my delas before never got past 6.5 foot tall but of course i was shitty walmart soil and nutes to. i think the growth this year has alot to do with ewc soil, vitazyme, regalia, chitosan and aloe.

I've been watching his breeding projects with great interest his yr.
Can't wait for his new releases.

I took some cuttings not to increase yield but for breeding. If they root I will put them in a separate patch with the Bangi Haze males. This way I can keep the main patch seed free. I do think yield can be increased if cuttings are taken early in the season.
Those Bangi did get root restricted. I did not plan on planting them like that. I was waiting for them to sex. Was afraid that the pot's would dry out with the hot and dry weather so I buried the pots To keep them cool and retain water. The pots had no bottoms so the roots grew into the soil. Instead of stressing them further I just ripped some of the side of the pots off and buried them deeper.

Actually those two Bangis and the Tikal are the only ones that are 100% organic. I started out doing a test between organic and chems.
But the chem plants were doing a lot better so I switched to putting some on most of the plants. But looking back and seeing the growth of that Tikal ( which only had a cup of blood meal added to hole on transplant) I now see that early in the ground was the difference.
Because my spot is remote I don't go out that often and transplants were staggered. I can walk the plot and see that in almost every case the biggest plants were planted earliest.
Peace GG

Holy cow, look at her go! Nice flboy! Should yield really well.

Guerilla- What I do to be able to get seed but not ruin the crop is cut the males when the female flowers have just reached pea size. about Aug. 7-20 here. Doing that gives just a few seeds per bud, so you always have some to hand out when smoking with friends. :)

Hi Flboy, Now that is what a Bangi Haze should look like. Really impressed with your Guerrilla grow this yr. I hope mine start to flower soon as well. I have about 15 hrs. of daylight plus twilight. I hope I don't have to wait for 12.5 hrs of light. That will be some time in late September, right around first frost up here.
Cheers GG

i also am doing a chem vs organic and seeing which is better. yes the quicker in the ground the better. i noticed that as well for example my big church at plot 5 was set out 10 days sooner then the church #2 at that plot. there is a huge difference in them. i think 1 cup of bonemeal to the hole wasnt no where near enuff feed to get everthing going. the clackamas coots soil mix is what im using with a few modifications like adding dr earth bud & bloom, bat guano and insect frass as topdressings. i just purchased some malted barley seeds that im gonna top dress on everone my plants bc its the chitinese enzyme which as we all know breaks down chitin and chitin is what fungi cell walls are made up of.. my theory is since bud rot spores contain chitin and the enzyme is the one that breaks them down it will help in fighting the dreaded rot

Here is an update on the horizontal planting I did with the Bangi Haze.
It looks to be growing nicely although there hasn't been much rain and the spot doesn't get as much sun as other spots in the plot.

And on August 17

I wish I would have tried this earlier in the season, But we will see how it turns out. There are 5 branches growing up on the right plus the main part on the left.

Some damage to a couple stems, looks like it could be slugs?

picture.php

This damage was on this Durban poison that I topped. It looks like it is handling the extra stress so far.

This pic is of another Durban poison that is about 8 ft.- 2.4 meters.

You can see the Bangi Haze on the left. Here is another better pic of them.

The BH were about half the size of the DP in last update. They have been growing about a ft. a week and are catching up quickly. Another better pic that you can compare the 2 better. The BH are about 6 ft now.

BH on left and DP on right.

Notice the yellowing of the native plants. This is very early this year.
Could be due to the drought conditions this yr.
