I have been using Push 2times per week in Veg only. I believe it helps a little, but about the same as using an aspirin in a Gal jug. It does seem to help reduce stress on plants when changing light sources. I don't believe in spraying my plants with Anything in flower. And I don't veg forever...so they are really only getting a few sprays. Push is rather expensive, my bottle is dwindling fast. Not sure it is worth the price. I need RO nutes and asked Chris for another bottle for free or a discount code for all the money I have spent on his products, he said to contact the sales department when placing the order. I am not SOLD on it, infact I stopped spraying my SOUR Bubbles that were under LED lights to ensure the spray had nothing to do with them looking like they were getting CALMAG def. My bubble has fan leaves bigger than your whole head! It says you can spray with lights on or Off. I took the LED light out, that just makes plants crave Cal-Mag even more. I will try push again if it is free. Otherwise I will just use an Asprin in Gal of water. Anyone who wants ton reduce stress on your plants and build plant strength, try an Aspirin in a gal jug. Spray with lights off. You will notice a jump in vigor within a day or 2. I would not know the "FULL" Effects of PUSH...HR says to spray until week 6 flower. I prefer not to introduce anything to my buds. That is just my personal preference, they do just fine without spraying in flower! Even if I spray with Asprin, it is only in veg. Push helps..so does Asprin. I would have to use push longer to make a true call.

Thanks dan. I've still got an unopened 1# of +size. Going to see if my retailer will give me credit toward a 5# of RO.

My veg is starting to grow, but still too soon to say if the VH/calmag is helping any. I should know for sure in a few more weeks. They've just started to show new growth on top, and a few roots poking out the bottoms of the cubes. Probably take another week for them to really get going.

On a side note: Do you mix anything with your coco, or just 100% coco?

nope .... straight bagged canna coco . no rinse , no precharge .... just transplant & feed . I also reuse the same pot of coco 3 times before i finally chuck it . just cut the center rootball out the size of my 5" pot , drop the next one in & saturate the pot with the correct PH & EC for the plant & back in veg it goes .

Ive been using a 55/45 coco/perlite mix. I think I'm going to run straight coco next time. If nothing else, it's a lot easier to hydrate than the readygro "aeration" mix I'm using now, and no dust. I'd like my pots to stay a little "wetter" in any event.

So they make V+B in regular and RO, does anyone know if the reg works as well as the RO. I ain't about to mess with no RO and want to keep using my well water. It comes out at 0.3ec. I'm liking the Canna A&B I'm using now but the grass is always greener on the other side and I switch products a few times a year:biggrin: I'm trying to be convinced to give that company another try after the HD trial:tiphat:

I used to use Canna Coco for years, I saw the quality decline with demand. Finding rocks, plastic, junk in the Coco and thevRunoff became dirty. If you can get Char Coir in your area, get it. Use it straight...thank me later. By far the best Coco I have used and cheaper than Canna. Only 1 store carries Char coir in my whole state, it is so good I drive 2 hours each way to get it. Ditch the Perlite brother. Although Char coir has perlite/coco mix, the straight Char Coir is extremely fluffy/airy. It doesn't pack as tight as Canna. I am trying to get Cha r Coir in stores closer, but nobody is stocking it yet. Check it out, honestly..I am driving a total of 4 hours to get it. It is worth my time to be able to just fill my pots and water them with with quality Coco. The demand fr Coco is higher than ever, the standards on some big companies are slipping due to demand. I have spoken to the owner a few tines, nice guy that is trying to put out a Superior Coco. I will never go back to Canna.

dans buds, if you can get it near you, I highly recommend you check it out. They are based out of Cali I believe. They have a website..., email the owner directly to see if he can tell you the closest place. Cheaper and MUCH better than Canna. Peace

Thank Slow for the info on the Push...

All I can get is the Botanicare bricks... Pain in the ass used them a long time but no more... Using Plagron coco premium straight I get it for $15 for a 50l bag it seems to be nice. I like it so far stable nice and lose and buffered and clean...

Ive hear Jackmayoffer talk about the Char and recommends it... I just dont see it yet. Ive asked. You know how it is the Stores push what they can make money regardless of quality.

Dans I remember you switched to the RO and you said you saw a def. difference no?

When using RO use RO formula right? Not the HD? I would assume the RO has added Cal/MAg which we all know is super important... I just dont want issues...

Thanks guys

i've always used the RO formula . i did try the dirty once & it left to much shit in my rez , so i went back to the RO . never tried the HD . Chris gave me a 1lb tub to try , but i gave it to a buddy
i don't have enough space here to do nutrient side by side tests .... once i find something i like , i usually stick with it . i've been using V&B for a few years now except when chris changed the formulas cuz of Cali requirements & it fucked up the formulas & didn't work as well . thats when i tried the dirty . & went back to canna for awhile . when i read that the formulas were back to working again as they used to , i tried the RO formula again & a few of the additive products he put out . dropped all of them except the RO formula !!! it works incredibly well all by itself in flower !!! no PK boosters needed IMHO ! but veg needs the vitamin hormone boost for faster greener growth .
yes if your using RO water , use the RO formula & yes it has more calmag in it to make up for the lack of it in your water .
i still have a container of push here & a spray bottle full of the stuff .... i used it for about 2 months on my veg plants & seen very little difference in the plants health or vigor with using it ..... so i stopped that too Lol .

Ok perfect. thanks dans... It sounds perfect. The Hormone's your using during veg. Does it scuzz up the rez? I like to top off my rez... To never let is go completely empty...while Im used to scuzz with the cyco nutrients Ive been using with all their additives... Im trying to get away from having a dirty rez.

Hey db,
I was wondering if you have/had springtails? They started coming free with my Canna Coco a couple years ago. They never harmed my plants, but since switching to Char coir, I haven't seen a single one! Trust me, Canna Coco is not as clean as it used to be. If you have Char coir local, I highly recommend it. It is cheaper than Canna here, but I have to drive 2nd each way to get it. I still have to drive 45 min each way for Canna. So it is a trade off...but the quality is superior. Way cleaner! Not saying Canna is bad...their quality has declined tho. It is worth checking out if anybody has it by you. Once you see it and use it, you will see the difference.

no critters at all in my bags . i will say one thing though . my hydro guy knows how to store his soils & whatnot . they're stored inside & never come off the pallet or the shrink wrap is never pulled off the pallet . it keeps it clean & bug free that way .

but seriously dude , i've been using canna from the same store for over 4 years now & its just as clean & nice as the day i first started using it . i'm on the east coast & i've heard that it comes from a different source than the west coast ...... i dunno how true that is , or if it why you & I see differences in it , but i love the canna coco! :dunno:

On the Vit and Hormone booster- I've been using it for 3 years now. It comes in a solid white bottle so you can't see inside but it forms a sediment after a few hours of sitting so it must be shaken before use. When new it's a nice bright yellow. I left my first bottle at room temp and before I got to the end it turned a nasty brown color. Maybe I didn't use it up fast enough, anyway I now keep it in the fridge and it stays yellow like new. Awesome stuff for great roots and accelerated growth. 5 star additive. Beats every other product I've tried by a lot.:tiphat:

just checked on char & the closest place to me is Maine . looks like legal medical states only & mainly Cali . i'm not getting coco delivered ....

http://www.charcoir.com/retail-locations/

Before any store locally carried Canna, I used to get it delivered! The owner of Char Coir is out of California. I am glad your Canna is still clean. My old roommate got so e weird pot mites from a brick of Botanicare. He hydrated some in a 5 gal black bucket, and there were white mites crawling all over. The only reason he bought it was because the store he went to didn't carry Canna.

I dont get why brick botanicare coco bricks sucks so bad I see nothing but bad exp with it. I havent used it but I will say this.
I thought botanicare was a pretty poop brand when a bottle of there Cal-mag when bad on me causing me issues for a couple months. Swore to never use anything botanicare again.

Made the switch over to botanicare ready gro from canna since the only store near me closed down and no one else carries canna. Wish I tried ready gro the first time around wont be using anything else for awhile. I dont get why there coco in ready gro is fine but the bricks suck.

I wont be using their bricks anytime soon but they have the best premix imo. canna is the way to go for pure coco but for amended mix botanicare ftw

:)
