Hey db,
I was wondering if you have/had springtails? They started coming free with my Canna Coco a couple years ago. They never harmed my plants, but since switching to Char coir, I haven't seen a single one! Trust me, Canna Coco is not as clean as it used to be. If you have Char coir local, I highly recommend it. It is cheaper than Canna here, but I have to drive 2nd each way to get it. I still have to drive 45 min each way for Canna. So it is a trade off...but the quality is superior. Way cleaner! Not saying Canna is bad...their quality has declined tho. It is worth checking out if anybody has it by you. Once you see it and use it, you will see the difference.

Oh I definitely hear you on that slow !!!

springtail fiesta over here with canna thought it was like that for every coco coir company since i was using a "high quality" brand. I also would see another weird soil mite bug that would appear as well. Well canna landed up becoming unavailable where im at so like I said above I switched to ready gro. wow am I impressed I will say and I noticed that I now see nothing in my runoff buckets or moving in my coco anymore. Damn I cant tell you what the other bug was that came along with the springtails but I can say that I have one bag of canna sitting around that I dont think I want use for the reason alone. I find it too much of a coincidence that I switched from canna and things are gone. Feels good not to see shit moving in my mix and having me question shit while laying in bed at night.

glad someone else could relate

springtails are benefical insects that helps break down organic matter, but for soil growers it can also indicate u are watering to much.

So I just wanted to give a brief update. My Sour Bubble that I was using the vitamin/hormone booster to in veg and the 1st 2 weeks of flower definately got some extra stretch vs 6/9. It looks great and I put 3 more in a few days ago. Am feeding them the V/H booster as well, they are doing fine..hopefully they stretch like that one. Sour. bubble need a little extra stretch to yield better. I will let everyone know how they progress

Ive used Botanical bricks a 100 times nothing but good. Never not one problem. If someone is having problems with it they dont know what they are doing. And I never get a bug no bug is going to survive the dry pressing of the brick...:tiphat:

Amazon $20 delivered 2 days cant beat it...

Never say never brother, my old roommate 100% got some type of mite from the brick. He hydrated the brick in a 5gal bucket with a lid. Thousands of little white mites were in the black bucket. Just warning everyone. You would be surprised what some bugs can survive.

I would say in the spirit of kiss, less is always more, but there are exceptions like any cal mag hog strain that always requires a wee bit more attention.

I started using the Maxi series but switched back to the HD, the MG had stained my roots green and the MB turned them pink, even if it's benign that's no bueno for me! I think I will use it when they 1st get fed because it does green them back up a lot faster than V+B but after that the V+B does better, atleast for me it does. I still have a few lbs of HD left that I'm using but I just grabbed a bottle of R/O to start using with my 120ppm tap water.

A couple questions, is the R/O version stronger than the HD? Do I keep feeding the same dose of R/O that I was feeding of the HD? And how's the end product vs the HD which has a lot of extra goodies. Tried to find the info on my own but after reading up to page 103 yesterday and taking almost a whole day away from my life I decided to ask.

I just made a gallon of each @ 4 grams/gal and the HD + tap = 668ppm, the RO + tap is reading 690ppm (.5 conversion) and it mixed completely vs the HD which always leaves some residue after mixing. Plans are to use the RO for veg and the HD with all it's extras for bloom, I used the +Size on one plant that's in the flush stage now and the nugs have never been this huge, I've had to put an extra fan by her so I don't get any mold. I'm hand watering coco to 20% runoff daily btw so that'll be around 1.1 ec in veg if I minus the .3 ec from the tap water, right?

can't answer the end product question because i don't use the HD , but i suggested a side by side & show us & yourself the results .

but the strengths of the 2 formulas are pretty damn close , so i would feed at the same strength .

Been flushing 2 plants for 2 weeks now. The RO plant looks better and bigger, it faded nicely and is done, chopping tomorrow. The plant that got fed HD did not fade well, and is too green in areas with less light, yet a couple tops look almost done. So I will flush it more, if I have to I will cut the couple tops off and keep Flushing the plant. So I have a whole bunch of HD, I have tried it several times side by side with RO. RO was better every time. I am not going to beat a dead horse. I am not going to use it again. However, I have some killer looking Sour Bubbles that were fed RO version, magical, and Viatamin/hormone booster...but I stopped the VH after week 2 flower. The plants are bigger than my 6/9 SB in the same tent. They look perfect, but still have 6 weeks left. I will continue to use RO version, but I will be doing a new side by side starting this week! RO version, magical, v/h booster vs 6/9 magical vs Perfect Grower 4 part powder. I will report how they do.

Doesn't happen to all my strains but it does happen to a few no matter how early a start flushing them. I'm using the RO version for the first time now and will probably drop the HD as well after picking up a bottle of Foliage Pro, which my OG and Chem hybrids have readily adapted too.

Just pulled down a 5x5 of Kraken and Blush. Ran HD until flower then ran RO and +size in flower. Got better smells and huge buds!
