no it doesn't ! they stopped making the type i bought . they started making them 24volt now to ease into their system & said fuck us growers ....
google seconds timers ..... theres a few of them made now .

dans can he build his own timer? whatever voltage timer to throw a contactor. if mistking is 24v just get a pump controller http://www.amazon.com/Orbit-57009-Sprinkler-System-Horsepower/dp/B000I19I5E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1459209256&sr=8-1&keywords=irrigation+pump+controller and wire whatever pump into it. this orbit one is pricey but i like the housing.

yeah , anybody can IF they have the knowledge ! but who knows who can & who can't . its just easier to point them in another direction .... most will just want the 25 - 30$ simple plug in models anyways .
& mistking has everything you need to di right .... but its seperate pieces now & they'll gladly charge your each piece now too ....

That should work, thanks for the link. Appreciate it :tiphat:

Also thank you for the update dans, I started scouring for the old ones on ebay but no luck.

No doubt i could probably figure out how to wire it or grab my electrical engineer in the family to take a look but not much a point if it's cheaper to not mess with it.

About to switch out from the HD and try the RO. Also grabbed the Mb ferts vitamins.
Hd makes my res look terrible but it's worked out well for me so far.

Dankness!!

"icbuds" is a shill for HR, and NOTHING he posts is to be taken seriously!

Apologies to the rest of the members of this thread, but I'm completely sick of this a-hole and his relentless pandering and promotion of HR, as well as his insults toward myself and others. Especially considering that he's always pushing the HD formula that everyone agrees is CRAP.

@Slowandeasy

I've been reading your posts for years bro! How would you compare the RO version to your 6/9 routine as far as overall quality? Bag appeal, smell, potency, etc. Would love to see some pics of those side by sides or some finished buds!

I don't know Easy or IC .just know this works and my response to thread title is appropriate.

Nothing against you at all, or even against v+B for that matter. Shill-boy just chimed in on your post. It's him I don't like. Nice looking flower BTW:tiphat:

Hey d2g,
I will be honest with you...I have multiple grow areas, and dedicate spaces to do my side by side Experiments. For example, I had a 4x4 tent that I used to use for a few more plants to flower, under 400 watts of LED and 220 watts of PL-l lights. I needed more veg Room...so I threw 4 Sour bubbles , a few Strawberry Disel Kush, and a few Cheesequakes in 2 gal pots to veg. I was trying RO version on the Sour Bubbles, with the hormone booster and a little Epsom Salt. The Rest I fed MaxiGrow. The Sourbubbles started to get a cal-mag def, because of the LED lights make some plants crave more cal-mag. So, I started using cal-mag at 5Ml per gal...new growth looks better. The same SourBubble doesn't give me any signs of a def Flouro lights for veg, with just a little Epsom. I actually have a Sour bubble mother plant that has been getting fed RO version for many many months under Flouros and has stayed flawless the whole time...IF I was feeding 6/9 the mother would get too big too fast.

As for flowering, I have had mixed results VB products. I started my first side by side on a couple SSSDH, with RO version vs modified 6/9. The 6/9 vegged faster and yielded more. But the RO version did catch up in flower, taste and smell were pretty similar to 6/9. I thought it was worth trying on other strains...so I tried it on a Strrawberry Diesel Kush side by side in the same spot as the sSSSDH was. Only that time Chris was promoting the DIRTY. The dirty vegged faster than RO version, then in flower the RO version did WAY better than the Dirty. These are all in straight Coco Btw. The Dirty plant was the worst plant that I have ever done, no smell, no density, just bad. I made BHO out of the whole plant. The RO version SDK came out beautifully, literally right next to the Dirty plant. That SDK dried and cured wonderfully, the taste and smell were excellent! Possibly the best SDK I have ever done!

Onto the next product Chris promoted...HD. I have a Space Bomb pheno that is a mag Whore, and was the only strain that did not do well with 6/9. So I tried the HD vs RO. Both plants did well at first, no def at all, but as time went on in flower the RO VERSION bulked up more than HD and by the Time they wer e flushed, the Hd version was visually worse looking, lacked smell, and did not fade nicely like the RO does for me. It dried faster, lacked smell and flavor compared to RO. That being said, the RO version did so well, I kept the strain. The RO formula kept the Space Bomb a nicer shade of green throughout flower than 6/9, it yielded 8 1/2 dried..it bulked up more and the taste/smell were excellent

The thing that I like about 6/9 is that I can drop the micro midway thru flower to reduce the N. After that experiment Chris said to use RO version til week 3 flower...then switch to HD for rest of flower. I will admit that is the closest in quality/quantity to the RO version end product. Long story short...I personally think that the RO version in Coco has the potential to produce as good or better than 6/9. If I didn't believe that, I would not keep experimenting I know how my plants do on 6/9. I am personally trying the RO on each of my strains, to see how each does. As I stated before, I am also going to try a 2 to 1 ratio of RO to HD.

I emailed Chris yesterday, explaining my experiences with his products. According to Chris the HD is superior in every way compared to the RO. I beg to differ, not in my experience. He states that the HD requires knowledge about pH and EC. I guess my 20 years of growing is not enough knowledge. I have wasted a decent amount of money on HR products, but I know a few facts from doing my experiments.
FACTS
1. V+B RO version is the best nute they offer for Coco growers
2. v+b Dirty is horrible in Coco
3. RO version is a good base nute for veg...but without vitamin/hormone booster it is very slow Vegging compared to 6/9 or MaxiGrow.
4. Do not switch all of your plants to any HR products without trying it unjust a few, like any nute line it may take a couple rounds to get dialed in
5. If done right, V+B will produce an excellent finished product...but a 1part nute require some tweaking and experimenting to dial it in.

For beginners, it is hard to screw up 6/9 in Coco. I get massive yields of quality flower. But some strains do better on V+B. I am all about quality, if I have to use different nutes for different plants I wil do it if the plant is worth it. Hope this long post helps! T

Slow,

That was one of the best and most detailed post in this wonderful thread bro! I'm a coco grower as well and that was helpful AF! Guess I gotta grab some of the RO formula to try out and I can't wait to hear what you have to say about the 2:1 ratio(RO:HD)!

Kraken vegged with Mills Nutrients, flowered with HD until week 3, switched to RO and +size after that until now. I'll be going to RO from now on.

Thanx again slow for taking the time to post your test results here for everyone to see & think about ! :tiphat:

in my search for a clean rez .... i tried the 6/9 for almost a year because it was the cleanest i found to use in my DTW rez's . but after awhile i started searching again because i found that my final product was pretty bland tasting . i'm not one to add sugars or molasses to my flushes , but with the 6/9 i had to, to bring some flavor out in the buds . did/do you find the same thing or was it just me ?

i switched to canna coco nutes after that & they gave me a better tasting bud , but the yield just wasn't there for me & the 10 different bottles with extreme price tags drove me away & that when i tried the V&B .

Do you use a rez? If so, do you find that the addition of +size creates a lot of sediment in your rez? Have you tried a full run without +size?

I know you don't use +size. Was the decision based more on aesthetics of you rez, or the belief that you're getting better results without?

For me it was 50/50. Sediment in the lines is a real concern when running blumats, and I was getting a LOT of sediment when I added +size. Also, I didn't see any major difference between using/not using it. After following your work for awhile, and burning more than a few plants, I'm positive I've been overfeeding quite a bit in past runs, so my experience with +size is somewhat skewed.

a little of both actually . it left alot of sediment & i didn't see any difference in bud size or weight .

Thanks dan. I've still got an unopened 1# of +size. Going to see if my retailer will give me credit toward a 5# of RO.

My veg is starting to grow, but still too soon to say if the VH/calmag is helping any. I should know for sure in a few more weeks. They've just started to show new growth on top, and a few roots poking out the bottoms of the cubes. Probably take another week for them to really get going.

On a side note: Do you mix anything with your coco, or just 100% coco?
