Hey dans

Are you ordering a gallon or more at a time off of mbferts? They say it's more concentrated if you do. Do you use 1.8 ml per gal? Or what dosage?

If anyone wanted to know it is compatible with h202 it's all synthetic ingredients I talked to them the other day.

My stores finally carrying the VB now too

i use it at an even 2ml per gallon ...... much easier dosing that way lol

Anybody having ph issues with the RO formula?
Ph has been dropping a good 1/2-1 point a day, been having to use ph up all the time to steady her where she used to sit after mixing.
Girls aren't liking all the extra K from the ph down.

Do you ink there will be any ill effects to adding some baking soda to the res to raise the Kh of the RO water?
I figured I'd ask before trying it in case anybody has experience with this.
Other than that, I have no complaints with this line.

Actually exp. the opposite very stable. Its actually a little too high for me anything mixed under 1.2ec I always have to add a little down.

I would make sure everything's clean like your meter and Res then try again using nothing but veg +bloom in your mix if your not already. I would guess that your mix is too strong causing the Ph to drop.I also use sm-90 as my Ph up as it raises Ph and I get the benefits of it.

check the EC & PH of your RO water .... i bet the EC & PH are climbing cuz the filters are going bad . just went through this last month !

Thanks for the replies guys.
I'm using v&b @1.2 (580ppm) atm, pretty much 600ppm.
Sm90 and a little Epsom for Mag (running triangle kush) she likes her mag.
Nothing else in the res.
When I mix, she's on point, really close to where I want to be (6.0)
It's just the next couple days it moves.
Funny thing is, after close to a week, it finally stabilizes.
But there's already too much extra K from all the ph up.

I did just change both my filters in March on my RO Unit.
I'm yet to change my membrane tho, they said that's to be changed every 2 years or so.
Do u think that would affect anything?
I was going to buy a replacement next time I change my sediment filters.

I'll keep tinkering, about to do a res top off now as a matter of fact, maybe I'll just dump and start over.

like i said , test the RO water if you can read the PH it means the membrane is going bad too . mine was up to 9.5 before i finally replaced it . EC was at like 60 ppms
mine went bad in 8 months & i use a small boy as a prefilter too .

If you can read the ph of the ro water your filter is going bad? I just have misred or misunderstood that statement because your suppose to be able to read the ph of ro water

you cannot read the PH of straight RO water ! theres no buffers in it to read . it will fluctuate the meter & give false readings . now if the filters are going bad , its letting minerals in that can be read by your meter . & thats why i said to test the RO water . if you get a reading above 7.0 ..... more than likely the RO membrane is letting minerals into your RO water .

My meter stays @0ppm and 6.5ph.
I know the ro ph readings are untrue due to Co2 in the water(I think) I know I read something about it, but multiple meters and probes (blue lab guardians) never move around in the 55 gal ro drum. I don't pay attention to ph until I mix.
I just filled up a res yesterday with nothing but v&b @ 1.2 EC, mixed to 5.8.
I haven't checked yet today to see where she sits.

sounds like the filters are pretty good then ...... not sure what to say to check next .

i know if i use alot of CalMag it seems to climb faster , but not like you were saying it was doing .

Has anybody used the RO formula in a PPK design? Just curious how stable the PH would be with a recirculating set up.

D2G

I recommend sticking with the tried and true d9's recipe of jacks and cal nit @ 1.2 EC. Unless your located outside the US, theres no need to complicate the feed solution in a PPK.

Idk maybe it's just me but I've never liked buds grown with Jacks. I just finished two cuts of one of my best moms, one grown with FN and the other grown with PBP, the nugs in FN tasted like reggies but were pretty potent. The PBP nugs smelled and tasted better but neither compared to the HD. I'm just trying the RO on a few plants.

Well Zach from veg+bloom was at my local shop about a week ago and we got to talking. Ended up with a free 1lb bag of this stuff and hid card to report back how the veg+bloom likes hempy buckets filled with coco. Upstanding dude and company that was willing to stand around with me for 10 plus minutes and go over everything from water alkalinity to ways to handle excess iron etc etc. I'll be posting up my results shortly as this watering (tonight) will be watering number 1 with the new goodies.... keep yall as posted as you care to be...

What mediums are people using with the V+B Soft line? Im looking to do 4-6 plants per 1000w, does coco do well for this or is something like rockwool superior?
