Looks like you used too much. You know there is such thing as too much of a good thing right? Lol you save money when you use less too. I still use the RO here and there in the FWOK to speedbulk things up but the sugars on HD are invincible. Do what works for you! I really like the RO+size combo too I've been hitting them in week 4 with the combo. Quality and quantity all day

just for the record i aint "slinging any bullshit" around...not bad mouthing the product at all,it grew some really good sticky potent bud,it just didnt make my plants perform as they usually do with other nutes i used....i dont know if its because i grow bigger plants,or because i top them multilple times and make bushes so maybe i need more powerful mix.i notice that on 2 plants that i didnt top the buds are a bit bigger then the others but that happens in just about any case ime...i was simply asking if IN SOIL anyone has any experience pushing them harder then the baseline 1.5 area...i dont doubt my skills for a second,i know what i can do as well as what my plants can do

was just looking for information, not to get all kinds of static started...

FWIW, I'm having good luck using 42g of HD combined with 2g of +Life per 10 gal. finished mix. I use 8 gallon of R.O. and 2 gal of aged tap water. This mix needs very little if any pH adjustment (At least for the first couple days).
This solution is working well on strains I previously considered hungry feeders and they're under a Gavita which are known to increase a plants feeding needs. EC is about 1.3. I'm in a rockwool / hydroton mix for my flower room and my mother's are mostly in ProMix

Anyone compare the tap vs ro veg+bloom notice any differences? Likes or dislikes?

Would like to get rid of my RO filter if possible but not if i take a hit in solubility or some other aspect im not thinking of.

I do have crappy FL water....~250 (+ at times) filled with cal carbonates. In coco if it matters.

On first run with RO v&b now and its frikken rockin! Loving the ease of mixing. Not really interested in dirty or HD at the moment....i'll let everyone else figure out the issues first :)

at 250 , i'd stick with the RO unit if you can . at that level theres probably alot of sodium in it too & that could fuck up the coco if it drys out at all ,they go to great lengths to flush all the sea salts out of it before they sell it to you , you really want to add some back ? :)
if you do go with the tap water , you might want to check into Drip Clean first . cleans out the salts with your runoff & you don't use much . .4 ml per gallon .

thats my :2cents:

Just finished my first HD run. I'm pretty happy with it. I think I overdid the +size a little, and got some burn, but the herb still came out good. This run, I'll be more careful with the +size, when the time comes. My plants are pretty heavy feeders though(SourBubble). I'm currently at 1.7EC in late veg, and the plants show every sign of liking it. To determine the max dose, Chris at HR advised me to push them until I saw the first signs of overfeeding(in veg), then back down a little. At 1.7, I don't know if I have the nerve to push them much farther. I'm planning on flipping in less than 2 weeks, and recovering from a burn could set me back.

Dan, i do have some drip clean laying around. I knew you were going to say to keep the filter :) Filters are ridiculous $$ at the rate i can burn thru them without the prefilter. Then the added cleaning to keep them flowing right. Then the time to fill a rez ..... ugh. Trying to make things easier :) I dont have room for a spare rez to store RO, im packed pretty tight in my little nook.

giving it a shot in my little room

I've got 6 Rascal x Diesel in 5 gallon airpots..tupur mix. RO version at 700 ppm. Decided to go Commando..no + or Life

I've read this whole thread twice. whew..I'm glad it survived all that trollin'! I haven't read anything from some of the originals for awhile though...net prophet where's he go?

Oh yeah they were started on maxibloom from clones. It was sort of an experiment. I usually mix my own salts ala yosemite sam style..He's a big influence in my grow world.

I did the last run on just Maxibloom and the results were subpar. Then I stumbled across a few V+B threads and liked what I saw

I love the #s of V+B. They look alot' like some of my favorite raw salt mixes. Very close except maybe the K is a bit higher. What really caught my eye was the S level. Alot of stock off the shelf mixes don't even list S. I know GH barely has any. AND I know plants use as much S as they do MG.

Also the P level. P is right in line with Albrect and others

Has anybody been using the +life? I have been using it but acclimating it into pretty much every watering. I just looked at the new label and it says to only use it once a week. Does anyone use it every watering or once a week?

you'd have to get a sample of the dirty & mix it with your tap water once to see where the PH came out , but i'm pretty sure when my kid was using it with tap water , no PH adjustment was needed . it came out to 6.5 for him after it sat out all night . mixed it came out to 5.8 but it climbed over night , so he just fed with it the next day .
your probably gonna feed like once a week or so for a guerilla grow right ? a full dose mix & you should be fine . if ya can though , check the PH to see if its at 6.5 or close to that before you head out with it .

the only reason i say check the PH is cuz its chem nutes (salts) & PH is important for nutrient uptake with chems . if you were using organic compounds it wouldn't matter .

a 5lb tub is only 100$ , i'd grab that to be sure you had enough to get through .
