just made a new res with HD formula, dissolves like original formula first did years ago.

Im on my first run with RO and its dissolving nicely for me
When did the formula change? I have some HD I haven't opened yet because I've been running the RO. The RO mixes crystal clear compared to the HD sample I had. I'm running coco with the RO in veg at .8ec and adding 1ml/gal calmag.
Interested as well? I mix my HD in a half gallon mason jar using hot water and get always get residue when it settles. I dump just the nutrients into 50 gallon reservoir and add more hot water to try and dissolve the residue to no avail. Am I doing something wrong?
Don't premix... Mix directly into your reservoir.
i have been using Veg+Bloom for a couple years now so i have seen how things have changed very slightly over that time
at first the formula dissovled 'spectacularly' and was a light red tint
then the green formula came around and didnt dissolve so 'great'
then the blue formula came around and dissolves slightly better.
and now HD is a blue/black and dissovle 'clean' like the very first batch i first tried years ago

not saying that it doesnt dissolve
but i am saying over the years i have noticed the difference in how these different formulas react with water.
some people come here and shout and yell about how this stuff doesnt dissolve at all and they just have powder sitting at the bottom of the rez.... but that was like 50 pages back...

I had this problem when I first started using it and contacted Chris about it. He told me not to use hot water - just use it at room temperature. It's worked fine for me ever since.

I hear ya I would do the same thing. Life and some ladies must grow on.. Get back on the saddle... I know you have a huge support base with the Fam on here. Cant wait to see the show..
plants are looking good,healthy frosty but not heavy at all....these are plants ive been growing for quite a while and i know what they can do,they arent as big as they usually get w these nutes,not nearly...i know my old nutes were a much higher EC level after mixing...am kind of noid about taking these higher because of mention of buds not swelling up when they are.anyone ever take these nutes around the 2.0-2.5 EC levels? IM IN SOIL btw
i have triangle kush in flower and they are beautiful but not fat as they should be at this stage....also has anyone ever switched to more powerful nutes midway thru flower to give them that boost?...thinking of finishing out with maxi and koolbloom to get this weight up where it should be....

Are you using HD? If so I am having the same problem and it's cost me over 10k because of the HD. Veg+Bloom worked excellent for me and I have gone back. Like you I know what my varieties can do and the HD is just awful.
Chris told me awhile ago & has stuck to it with me to this day ..... that if you tell him your from ICmag , he won't charge for shipping .
