Stardust-no im not using the HD bro...i used the r.o mix for veg then the dirty for flower, they had an awesome stretch and my TK usually hardly stretches at all.
but i think its because these nutes arent strong enough at the 1.5-1.8 ec level that has basically been the rule of thumb for this thread, probably because im in soil also i can take it higher idk.maybe plant size and veg time like i said im not sure what it is but if i were to take these nutes as high as i do my other nutes it would take around 115 grams or more in 15 gallons to reach that level....at that rate id be only getting around 20 feeds per 5 lbs of V+B...that kind of aint worth it to me...the finished produst is some absolute fire as it should be,but like you,i have took a major L at the end of the day compared to what it shouldve been, weight wise...density was off as well...i hope someone can chime in w some info because i do like these nutes, just need to tweek them to my style if possible.
i have a whole other 5lb of dirty on deck, not sure if ill flower out w them again next but ill veg w them for sure so they wont go to waste either way....
ok im outty TK has me ramblin :D

plants are looking good, healthy frosty but not heavy at all....these are plants ive been growing for quite a while and i know what they can do,they arent as big as they usually get w these nutes, not nearly...i know my old nutes were a much higher EC level after mixing...am kind of noid about taking these higher because of mention of buds not swelling up when they are.anyone ever take these nutes around the 2.0-2.5 EC levels? IM IN SOIL btw
i have triangle kush in flower and they are beautiful but not fat as they should be at this stage....also has anyone ever switched to more powerful nutes midway thru flower to give them that boost?...thinking of finishing out with maxi and koolbloom to get this weight up where it should be....
thanks in advance,
peace -T-

T,

current TK set,pic is about 3 weeks old

a few shots from last round, they didnt really get the weight they should have either but the smoke is superb...can these nutes be taken to 2.0-2.5 range safely after the plants are in full steam?

Can I give you some advice? Please do not take this the wrong way, I am not trying to criticize you. Ditch the soil my friend! I suggest grabbing some Canna Coco and you won't need such large pots. 2 or 3 gal Pots yield 8oz dried all day. Use the RO or Tap version, I used the Dirty once, it was not nearly as good. I am doing a side by side using the HD right now, flipping in a week or so. Will see how it compares. Also, there is no reason to feed any plant as high as you intend to. You will thank yourself if you just switch your medium to a quality Coco. Good luck

i'm kinda wondering if its the soil myself . theres another guy i talk to all the time here & he's having the same problem . he's got to feed alot higher dosage to get his plants happy in the soil compared to what i'm using in coco . i'm at 1.4 EC max & hes up to 2.5 to keep things happy .

hey T you asked if anyone ever went as high as 2.0 or 2.5. I haven't because I use coco but I now a fellow ic mag guy that does in soil, madcow is his name and it seemed crazy to me to feed that high but he did grow some good pretty buds, I suggest doing so with at least a couple individual plants instead of the whole room, then you will know,

ime dirty formula has way more nitrogen then the others. such high N levels could keeping it from fully flowering.

are you using a bloombooster at all? i start bloom booster in 3rd week and cut down the V+B.

I'm dropping the plus size from my next couple runs cuz my last 2 runs came out alot whispier than they should have .they seem to have done better without it & the plus sized always left a sand in the bottom of the rez when i used it . so maybe it wasn't mixing right or something .... i dunno , but the next 2 runs without it should tell me .

I gave the kiss method a try one run, too much N in late flower. Also didn't like how difficult it was to get the powder to dissolve completely

I'm growing in soil now around 4th week in flower and feeding at 1.8-2.0 with no problems. First run using HD and +size and my heart just sank hearing that your weight was off. Would love to switch to coco but I hand water and full time job will make it impossible to water every day especially multiple feeds a day. I switched over HD for simplicity and savings not to lose money. Prayers begin!

I just finished watering one of my last rooms I will be using the HD and I'm disgusted with the lack of flower size. Miracle grow would out perform this crap!! DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!
BTW I have been doing this for 23 years so I have hundreds of harvest under my belt and this is by far the worst product I have ever used.

Another update on this terrible product called HD. I estimated it cost me 10k it's more like 15k because of all the small buds that nobody will want and the extra hours in labor it will take to trim them. This stuff grows a ton of leaf but not much bud. If there was a way to sue I would be bringing legal actions to Chris. What a crappy product! Stay away from HD.

Here's a comparison of HD to Canna. Same room, same strain, but one kicked ass and the other was not even worth the time and $ spent to grow. Stay away from HD! unless you want leaf and small buds then it's the best product you can buy.

I guess im confused....

So you bought $10k of untested nute lines? Or it cost you 10k in lost revenue due to decreased yield?

I have no comment on the quality of the nutes... just wondering what the statements mean.

It's lost revenue...You are right about the untested part. That is my own fault but I figured I had such great success with the Veg+Bloom hard formula that switching to HD would not be such a dramatic difference.
My buddy has had the same results using HD as well. I believe he threw 25lbs away of the HD because he was so disgusted and went over to Mills even though he was doing great with Veg+Bloom. I will probably follow suit because I don't want to give one more $ dollar to Hydroponic Research.

What also sux is for anyone new trying to find v&b, their site always recommends the HD with no references to RO/tap now. Its still in the shopping area, but the product help obviously doesnt want you buying it :)

I was curious about the reasoning on that one being that ro/tap is what everyone raves about in the thread.

whole lot of bull shit being slung, I always wonder why a product works well for some people and not for others, I would venture to say it has to do with the grower rather than the product.
