High JK, at the end of the two week stretch I will do my final trim. Most are real bushy but there are a couple that are not. They and their cuts will be culled after next round. In my small space I'm going for maximum yield. I will test them all for potency. If one should be extra potent I will breed it. And keep it alive via cuts along the way. I took cuts from all of the males also. I will grow them out with the next round and produce some seeds with the best of the best.

Thank you HHF, it is an Honor to have you. Thanks for stopping by.

Actually I trim the lower growth that does not get good lighting. It lets the plant divert more energy to the upper bud sites.

V

oh really? i heard of some instances where people trim fan leaves from lower portions of the plants so the lower budsites aren't in the shadows from the big leaves.

I have never trimmed fan leaves because they are th biggest part of the photosynthesis process. Most of my lower growth goes to cuttings. even with the light penetration of the 1K there is still a good amount of shading and the lower bud sites generally produce "popcorn" buds that are a bitch to trim.

I do the same thing for the same reasons, never got why people thought taking away productive leaves that "make" usable energy for the plant to grow buds, if anything, I take the lower popcorn buds to get a pre smoke a week or two before harvest, hoping to get a sense of how the stone is coming along and maybe divert more energy to fattening up the tops.

HTC males-2 I took clones from (in the 5 gallon buckets) 1 (tall one) I kept alive. He is my favorite.

Here they are.

Stonehedge females week 1 flower. One on them is showing flowers faster than the whole room is.

I left the slow grower as a single cola plant.

Dude, tell me about it... you should look up lolliepopping or maybe its lollypopping... I dunno, but its when you trim a lot of the lower growth, really helps to distribute power the top parts of the plants and get big colas, instead of descent colas and popcorn on the bottom... :2cents:

P.S. Its a good way to get clones :rasta:

High pumpkin, that is why I trim mine out. I do take clones from there and trim out the rest to produce more energy to the top bud sites.

BB X Shiva females and then a fast flowering male.

The BB X Shiva male is ready to bust open already! It responded well to the 18/6 light schedule. I have moved the males to a safe spot away from the girls. Before long we will have lots of babys.

Those are some happy looking biatches Vman.
Good luck with the seeds, let me know if you notice a difference in potency in the slightly seeded bud, I've been told before slightly seede bud has a nicer high....I'm sceptical but then again I'm always sceptical lol.

i see a good future with those two.

i also agree with no trimmin fan leaves. i hate it when people trim them, why would the plant go through all that trouble to make the leaves to convert light to energy to grow and just chop them off.....

suby, seeded bud smokes just the same. no difference imo and ive smoked a lot of seeded plants. they make excellent hash plants when fully seeded, instead of smoking them. im sure V doesnt plan to pollinate the whole plant though.

Great work Von! Its nice to see some soil mastery at work, much :respect: !!

This is way off topic, but since everyone posting here seems to have done it already ... how do you change the text description under your name? Mine, sadly, still tags me as a newb :1help:

God I'm glad to have you on these boards, it seems there are always voices of reason amongst my organic brothers from another lol.

Von keep them rockin, I have a batch trailing just a few weeks behind yours...if I can get this damn fridge unit done in time.
