Here is an update on the Sunshines

All the kids were fed at day 5 from their last feeding. They are starting to dry out a little faster now but there area couple of them who could go another day or so.

They were fed with a 3 day tea made of

8 TBS of Indonesian guano
3 TBS of Mexican guano
3 TBS Leonardite
1 TBS K-Mag Natural
1 handful of EWC
4 TBS of Molasses

Each container received one gallon of solution. 1/2 gallon to wet it down and while it is draining I mix the surface of the soil and then add the next bucket. Doing this helps with water absorption.

Here are a shot of some of the Sunshines......

The others will be up shortly.

Until the next time.........

Hello all,

I have been experiementing with my teas and as of late I have been adding 1/4 cup of dry potatoe flakes to my teas.

I do this because I am lacking an amino acids source and for the carbos for the microkiddes.

I think it is having a very benificial effect on some AK48 clones. It could also be my imagination.

Anyway, the need for amino acids came from the LK product so I searched for a source in my kitchen and this is what I came up with to try.

Your thoughts?

I remember talking about it and at the time I had used it once in the teas. My grow was abruptly interrupted then and I have not gotten back to it. I would like also to culture some spirlina to add to the teas.

Which source do you use MI? Or which brand of potato flakes do you use? I see you are still growing the AK48. I will be starting the first round of clones from these soon. I will then be able to add a new item to the soil or the teas.

Thanks for bringing up the flakes again (Von puts them on his shopping list) I will have to select a good natural brand at the Health food store today when I go and pick up more molasses.

I was just discussing this type of collective research in another thread. We are all working on different things but are growing to a collective end in which it will benefit us all and our plants.

I have been looking for a boost in the amino acids department.

I have learned something new about amino acids though. Did you know that the helix of the amino acids is different from natural and synthetic? The synthetic helix has a right hand turn and the natural has a left hand turn. But that is a totally different subject.

Here is another update with some of the BB X Shivas

From one 100% organic gardener to another; this is a nice thread.

I'm a bit old school so why all the additives?

I intend to make teas this next season. As a medical person here in California I find I need just one grow a year.

About seeded vs. non seeded I noticed a change in the plants from a sweet to a slightly musky when they were seeded so I believe a slight change happens.

Then again, I notice that the flavors vary from branch to branch slightly and from jar to jar.

Are you noticing any aroma bursts at lights out vonforne? That was a new experience this last season for me. I assume it meant I was doing something right

Well I was lonely for Organic Growing friends... I'll be hanging out here.

Again Great thread and count on me in the future for a photo-grow I love doing it.

High Jack, Thanks for stopping by. This is a great place to call your "hang out" Lots of great people here sharing information with out all the bull****.

The "additives" I try and create as closely as possible the conditions of the earth. After all we are container growers. Most of what is present in the outdoors soil is not present in our containers only if we add them.

Now, to go into that further, it is much easier for me any way, to have all these things present in the soil rather than measure and add them every time I make a tea. It also allows me not to use any bottled fertilizers. My ultimate goal is to perfect the perfect growing environment for my plants.

About the aroma burst you speak of at lights off might be caused by the transpiration by the plants during the light cycle. You notice how the RH spikes during lights off? The plants are expelling moisture into the atmosphere. Along with that will come the smell.

I have only seeded a few side branches. There was a slight drift of some loose pollen in the room and I will have a couple of seeds on one or two other plants. LOL Now I will have some "Stoneberry" and some "Sunshineberry" home made crosses to grow out. LOL

That one started auto-flowering under 18/6. I think it is going to finish with some nice long buds.

Here are the rest of them...
