Hello,
well i have a question...
can i switch to MH Light now in the last phase to get better terpene profile and more thc?
Makes it sense? Or does it interrupt my grow?
If someone has experience with it plz post ;-)

The Golden Tiger 3 thai pheno looks like a keeper if the high is what i'm looking for... looks like a very high yielder... gave some clones to my friends so no worry ;-)

hello,

by Oldtimer1 (of Ace seeds oldtimers haze (99% sure (?)) (i stole it from other forum (hopefully not misquoting Ot1 etc)

A couple of comments, from all the experiments we have done over the years with lighting. We have found that plants that have a high potential in their genes to produce potent buds. Will produce the most psychoactive results when a metal halide is used during the last 4 or 5 weeks of flowering. Given the choice of only one light at the end, for me it would have to be a MH every time. Using a mix of both types of lights produces a result that is close as long as both lamps cover the plants. A HPS on its own produces a very inferior result in comparison with the other 2. We have tested this time and time again using known mother lines and verified the results with blind tastings with as many as 20 people in the study. Every time they put the sodium buds at the bottom of the potency chart 100%! The only time anything ever came lower was with a sample grown with a son-t agro. Some of the people in the last test couldn't distinguish between the mixed lights and the pure halide product, but they tended to be light weights, experienced tokers mostly gave it to the halide only buds, but only by a slight margin.

Some of the people refused to believe that all the samples were from identical clones of the same variety as the potency and effect was so different. This is a very easy thing to validate for your self. I know this does not relate directly to using supplementary uv light as a selection tool. But it does have validity when seeking mothers or breeders with the highest psychoactive potential
i read also from Ot1 (when stealing the above) that straight HPS in a test yielded +~8% (this is why say narcotic indica / commercially HPS can be better, depending (i think ?)

--------------------------------

you know before the trichomes go mass cloudy and the plants are in the "nicest / most pungent smelling phase" (??) - i like to move the MH upwards and stop pressurising them so much, just to try and keep the flowers in better condition, thinking post harvest.

(as opposed to attempting to burn yield out of them previously)

--------------------

really nice looking plants !!!.

Excellent stuff madmac, be interesting to see how the mh changes anything, if it works, I shall shamelessly be stealing it as an idea :)

Hi Mac what part of Europe are you in? it sure looks green enough the plants look well hidden among all the other shrubs and appear to be enjoying the long summer day light, they could get to quite a nice size by Autumn.

i forgot to explain why they are so big now... (Malawi, GT, Congo & Erdpurt)
they where around 30-50 cm and in 3 liter pot's when i planted them outside...
so i wait always when it starts to rain... then i dig holes 20x20cm and 30 cm deep and use my good own Mix with wormcast... after 2 weeks i came back because it was no rain since then and gave water with bac organic root stimulator & bac organic bloom... for me the key is root stimulator! That help's the plant to build better roots... i noticed that @ my current indoor grow...

Nice outdoorgrows.Slugs are enormous too ;) How did you raise THEM? :)
my father used coffee ground around the plants to avoid slugs... so i did the same but for 6 plants it was too late... these caffein in coffee ground is also good for plants vitaly.... as you can see
