high @ all,
well yesterday i chopped my last GT3... the biggest bud's i got in my indoor grow until now... and i'm happy to have a clone... she looked like a keeper but the high in 3 month will tell if she is worth it....
She was now 113 day flowering and 143 days 12/12... she started very late to flower... but the result is sensational... this plant outdoors will be a tree by sure!

Conclusion:
So now this was my first grow with ACE gear and pure Sativa from seed and i'm very very happy with the results!
I never got so much from 6 Plants under 600w hps never!
This Malawi line and all the hybrids like GT, Zam etc... are absolute awesome.
Big Big kudos and deep respect to Dubi & the ACE crew
They did a phenomenal job to select only the best.
You have to grow a Malawi once in a lifetime that's sure.
What have i learn from the grow:
1. it's better to start from cuttings
2. wait until they start to show sex then do 12/12
3. best to veg outdoors for healthy plants and less power cost
4. Vertical Circular See Of Green is best method for stretchy Sativa
5. do not give to much nutrients... Sativa don't need much
6. stop extra PK when first hairs going brown and lower the Nutrients or the sativa will never finish...
7. 11/13 looks like they finish faster but have no own results... maybe they are less potent then?
8. if you use good organic soil you don't need any nutes the first 6 -8 weeks...
9. most sativa need 90 - 120 day + to finish proper! 90 Days from start flowering not from start 12/12.
10. room climate is very important also the humidity... around 60% when flower and @ the end 45%... after creating my room new and using a dehumidifier and proper ventilation system i had no issues and the plants loved it...
Smoke Report:
i only checked the first Malawi... maybe 2 weeks to early chopped but i could not wait longer... after the Tangwena Cop curing method the smoke is awesome.
Very little earthy odor and very very sticky i love the smell and the taste too. Very smooth and the high is direct there... for me it's a very nice motivating high... i can smoke it early in the morning and do my business like coding and graphic artwork... sometimes to talk to others is not easy... like if you get a phone call... ;-) well what i really like too is the long lasting effect... if you smoke early in the morning you still can feel it in the afternoon... very efficient!
Rest of smoke report will come when all are cured properly... in 2- 3 Month.
Thanks to all wo jumped in and watched my first pure Sativa ACE grow and many thx for all the nice comments!

high @ all,
well yesterday i tried a cob from GT2. Here is a short smoke report...
there is a big difference between the tangwena cob curing method and normal curing... what the difference and so on i can tell after the normal curing has finished... in 2 month so end october.
The cob i open yesterday smells very sweet and is still very sticky... as you can see in the pic it looks like well cured... the deep green is gone...
The smoke is very smooth! never mind and the high comes slowly but it comes... it really startet 20 min after finishing the joint... i though i need one more but then it hit me deep and i need to do something... very motivating... playing guitar or being creative... you have to do something ;-) ca after 30 min you could laugh it's very mood motivating too and you get this warm good feelings starting in your head and floating down to your legs... after 1h you have two options... stop smoking or continue and go deeper... but then if you stop activity you prefer a nice comfortable couch and good music... it is really a different high than the malawi gives me... it is also more trippy like you hear different... music or natural sounds are more interesting and light and shadow are also more intensiv... i really like it

Now the Golden Tiger 3 thai pheno is dry and the final weight from only one plant is 193g (6.8oz). That's the biggest yield i got from one plant indoors... the other GT 2 was around 145g and GT 1 was around 100g... I'm really happy that i got some clones and some clones outdoors and @ my friend home to compare the results
This Golden Tiger is a tree outdoors and if you can finish it you will have enough for a year... indoors too but i think that the vert method is best for this plant. Next year i will grow my clone in my new VCSog room...
So far it feels i have done most thing right... but i have also done things wrong as you can read in my previous post...
I have also some nice pic's from my outdoor gurillia grow and there you can see that the GT clone is a tree...

Hi Mac nice GT buds from the Thai pheno, with the cobs you need to put at least an ounce in, I put 2oz in average and bind them tighter, as tight as you can manage you will see it sweat much more and turn yellow to golden orange in color. Great first attempt. But try with much more bud you will love the difference.
I just planted the 2 seeds I had left from my GT I bought from the first fem release of Gt.
Both have popped I am over the moon, I am waiting on 2 others a Panama and a Panama x Malawi I got from Dubi. These will be my next grow cant wait.
I also cant wait to see your buds get fat on your vert grow its going to be inspirational.

i think the compressing in the bags is the key... i use'd vacuum jars in the past for a quicker cure but to use this bags is different... very sweet smoke...

Was wandering all the time, why my last run was so potent, cause I didn´t cure them longer than a couple weeks.
But everything was vacuum seeled in bags and everyone said it was the sweetest, calmest smoke ever.
And now I´m sitting here after 3 zips smoking the rest of the best of my homegrown and I´m wondering, what the fuck I´ve done..its Super Lemon haze , fresh like just beeing dried but much stronger, than I expected from rememberance..
I mean, normaly nothing can be cured in seeled bags without any oxygen inside, right?
Anyway, something has happened, that`s for shure..BUT WHAT?

After reading many more answers and questions about vacuum /corn curing I´ve got the point!!
Only question is where to get corn leaves in wintertime....
So you grow since 25 years? Lucky bastard;-)
Anyway ....as I said before...reading all the articles and threads was really timesaving and helped me to avoid lots of mistakes!
I´m using biobizz soil and bb nutes in 20 liter square pots, excellent results.
Just have thrown several beans between cleenex and the ACE experience is about to begin.
I start with Zamaldelica and Orient Express, then around xmas they will be followed by Malawi, Golden Tiger and Bangi Haze, or Panama..or Malawie-PCK?
Any suggests?
...I´m not quite shure which one to choose.
Next thing I have to find out is your control system...
Next time when you enter a stage..please let me know and I will throw my hammond in if you don`t mind;-)

well you should better use COMPO Bio Universal-Erde torffrei.
You can also buy this soil here in holland... best i found... BB has too much nutes.. use a EC meter and check it you will see... Sativa's prefer less nutes... and only feed with EC meter... not more than 1.0 ec + water ec... best nutes i found are bac baconline.nl. Also organic and special made for our lady's ;-)
So control system is easy... important is a good timer with fallout memory or battery... like i have... The Theben has two separate timer for high power... so i use one for light and fan and the other for my exhaust vent... i use the netatmo device to check all my important data like CO2 and so i dial in my exhaust vent ON time... it's like every half hour for 4 minutes on... the rest off.
Than i have a temp control also combined with the exhaust vent... if the temp goes to high like over 28°C the vent start to blow out the hot air... only happened in summer... the second temp control is for winter when it gets too cold the heater goes on...
Last i have a dehumidifier for regulating the humidity... best buy i did for my plants... no i can regulate from 75% to 40% @ end of grow... 40% gives you more sugar the last 3-4 weeks
Next season my vert system is optimized and than i will show how much you get out of square meter to watt... ;-)

1. My soil: Glad to use a different one, because I can buy the Compo just around the corner..the bb soil is hard to get for me..
The advantage of bb is that I don`t have to feed my plants before flowering and they look just perfect right now( Sweet Thai, Jack 47, Hawaiin Snow and Vanilla Kush).
But as I´m running more pure Sativas as well for the very first time I will try out the Compo for the ACE`s.
The nutes are not available ( only one shop sell them in Mannheim).
2. All your gear stuff for controlling: that`s my next step...I´m just doing everything with several timers right now but I don`t have a central controling unit.
It`s the next thing on my list I have to develop!! Main problem right now is to get the right constant humidity...as soon the exhaust fan starts it sucks out everything in a minute!
Also measurement topic...so far I let the soil do the work but I know, this is going to be changed.
Step 3 will be to implement CO2...
I mean: I have everything under control..temps are always between 19-27 degrees and up from Nov. I use a heater for the lights off time.
Right now I´m fighting with bonding my Hawaains...worked pretty well together with LST+ supercropping it really feels like modeling the surface
As soon as I found out how to clean my photos from all these bullshitinformations they use to have inside I will make an own thread.
I´m also trying to find Tangwenas CMH lamps from Eye Lightning..can`t buy them here in XXXXX, may be my local shop can manage it.
And I need a seperate drying cabinet.
And a single veg room.
I NEED TO RESTRICT MY HIGH-FLYING IDEAS AND WHISHES!!

well you don't have to feed in veg with Compo!
I never ever feed my lady's in veg... i only use bac root stimulator two times... this works best.
before i switch to 12/12 i repot in 20l smart pots...
again little root stimulator... because of repotting...
than after 4-6 weeks i give little (bac bloom) feeding now (did that too much first time...indica background)
the pure sativa's lady's are really sensible with nutes... if you feed too much one time you get easily nutes burn... you can see that on some pic's in this thread...
if you feed EC 1.5 - 2.5 like advertised on most nutes package than you heavy overfeed your lady's and you get leave burn and other strange grow problems... it's really easy to overfeed them... never mind... you recognize it most of time when it's too late...
so i would recommend feed EC 0.8 + water EC after week 4 because there are enough nutes in the soil...
week 7-9 (depend on strain) last feeding same EC but now P+K for bigger bud's... don't need N anymore...
that's all... never mind that these lady's are so cheap in kind of nutes
other important factors are PH and EC level of your feeding water... water EC over 0.6 is not good for sativa's ... too much minerals building up salt in the soil after this long bloom time!
i tried the buffer tablets with my tab water and it was ok... but now i use rain water that has a EC of 0.21 and a PH of 6.7 and that works best...

before my jar's are empty and i'm lost in ACE heaven...
here is my smoke report...
Strange things happen... i miss one jar full of Malawi #2... when you make whiskey you name it angel's share... but well it's gone and i don't know when... sometime in the summer... also all my Cob's are gone too... my friend's liked it very much > smooth and strong...
but harvest of my first vert grow is near and i'm sure i make some nice cob's again...
so here it is...

smell: the early Malawi(i only have a sample left) smells fruity, pepper and incense... while the other two are much more old motor oil, rotten wood with a very magic incense note... i really love the smell it's this magic africa forest... dark musk sweet like a good men perfume.
high: if i smoke a stick in the morning after coffee it comes slowly... after finish the stick you think maybe one more... but then 3-5 min later it hit's you hard! Than it's direct there clear no paranoia no nervous just high very high... the best is you get not tired or disinterested... just motivated to do something... well i recommend not to do serious work because it can get complicated... better do cleaning windows or cutting grass... something really simple... time will passing and you do things you normally you don't like with a breeze and smile in your face... also be lost in creating music or listen to is also very addictive... the high last's long... that's good

here is my smoke report...
Strange things happen... i miss one jar full of Malawi #2... when you make whiskey you name it angel's share... but well it's gone and i don't know when... sometime in the summer... also all my Cob's are gone too... my friend's liked it very much > smooth and strong...
but harvest of my first vert grow is near and i'm sure i make some nice cob's again...
so here it is...

but now i tried my Golden Tiger (thai pheno)... a nice small bud from one of the tops...
around 3 month cure in glasses... and i have to commit damn damn potent weed! Get's really better by time... I'm really glad that i have a clone... very good smoke nice fruity smell, dense buds and trippy...
I'm thinking about a winter grow with the early Malawi clone, GT (thai pheno) clone and the carrot mango early Zamaldelica clone...and a Purple Haze & Malawi clone... all the best phenos i found until now...
will see if i find the time...

Hi Mac nice buds mate, wait longer its gets stronger, nice smoke reports I have to give Malawi another go based on your report.
I find GT is my perfect day time high and I can concentrate and complete work to a high standard. Without it I am directionless drifting in a boring grey world with no emotion.
The trippier the better for me ha ha. Love your work mate.
