well now we are in the sixth week of flowering... Buds are amazing... i was away for 2 weeks and now i found this...
Here are some details:
8 Weeks 12/12 & 11/13
6 Weeks in flower
1 GT 5 Weeks in flower (Thai Pheno)

well i'm also surprised... and very Happy with the results...
so everybody has it's own philosophy about Soil & so...
here is my experience from the last 14 Years indoor.
1. if possible use big pot's.
2. Soil Mix
3. ph of the Soil and your water
So until last years i used standard soil container 20L or like 5 Gallon because if you want huge plants you need a big container... thats my observation when i start grow indoors...
Now i use the smart pots 18L or 5 Gallon and they performing very well... so it is true what they say about it... @ least for me ;-)
My Soil:
The basic Soil is from my Gardener... but you can buy like the same in every good Garden Center. It's made from biological compost. 45liter cost 7€.
Major constituents: white peat, clay
Electrical conductivity: <1,5 mS/cm
pH(CaCl2): 5,5-6,0
Amount of added fertilizer: 0,75kg NPK/m^3 + 1,0kg NPK long lasting fertilizer /m^3
This Soil is extra for Tomatoes and other vegetables that you eat and they say that you don't need extra fertilizer the first 6-8 weeks for tomatoes... so until this year i used only the soil and no extras... my results was fine so far but not like now... so i search the web and found two important things...
1. pH and temp of your water you use to watering the plants
well pH is also important part of the grow... never mind... i used until now citrus acid to get my pH down a little... now i used the Buffer tablets that keep the Soil in the right pH around 6,5. I have a pH tester and did some test and it looks like they do the job very well. My water has a pH of 7,5. Also never give cold water to the plants... best is room temp...
2. Wormcast
by searching the web for simple soil mix that works i came across wormcast. Wormcast gives this extra don't know exactly what it does but since i use it my plants looking better.
1 part Worm Cast 3 parts Soil
You can buy it everywhere ... just search the web... i do also fishing and where you can buy fishing stuff you can get worms and the address where you can get worm cast ;-). It is not expensive... like 10€ for 45liter... or maybe for free ;-)
Professional Gardeners use this where they can to get the best out of the plants... works like magic...
Bacto & Symbiosis mycorrhiza fungi are special stuff that i try this year in combination with the pH Buffer tablets.
Here are some info what it is:
Symbiosis mycorrhiza fungi is a extreme concentrated and diverse mycorrhiza inoculant, apply once and the whole life cyclus from your plant roots will be colonized with fungi, we also put in some extra soil bacteria to be sure of a fast symbiosis between roots and soil.
The Buffer-tablet is put together to bring you the important combination of different lime sorts and the appropriate bacteria, to optimize the lime and buffer effect in your soil. The Buffer-tablet also contains nutrients and nitrogen-fixing bacteria and phosphate solubilizing bacteria stems.
The Buffer-tablet is specially developed to buffer new and existing plants and to slowly release nutrients as it biodegrades during the long term mineral requirements of the plants during a cycle. The tablets contain slow-release of nitrogen, natural humic acids and beneficial bacteria. This will provide an enriched soil and improve plant nutrition for a sustainable development not leaving any nutrients unused.

******'s Bacto is advised to be used in every stage or cicle of the plant, seedlings / clones / growing and flowwering plants have great bennefit form this bacterie complex with trichoderma's !

well my personal conclusion until now is:
Good Genetics and the Soil makes the plant... good Soil mixed with Worm Castings and good water with pH around 6,5 and you are done for the first 8 weeks. Then you have to give some Bloom fertilizer best a organic one with sugar and low N.
Bacto & Symbiosis are just special add on's...
Next grow this year will be vertical with the same soil...

4 x Nepal jam
5 x Banghi Haze
3 x Pakistan Citral Kush
will post pic's later... if this season finish successfully begin November and i can harvest all plants then i'm in cana heaven and maybe a dream comes true to make backups from all the plants and in the next years i can choose... lets take the Malawi from 2015 or the GT from 2016 and so on like a good wine cellar Problem is i'm musician and all my Band mates and most friends smoke my weed... they always prefer it about the holland weed... i'm living close to the border to the netherlands... and we can get bets stuff from there without any problem... but i can tell you my weed was always stronger and tastes better than this commercial stuff because i grow organic and that makes the big difference in taste and power... just my observation

well i grow now for like 25 Years... in the beginning only outdoors... had good results and a very good taste... so i wanted to get the same taste when i grow indoors... in the beginning my indoor weed was strong but terrible taste... @ that time there was not too much info on the web... so i ask some professional Gardeners how they get the taste in the tomatoes... they told me the soil & nutrients make the taste. So i went on and bought good Soil and Bio fertilizer for my tomatoes & weed and voila the taste was nearly there... not 1:1 to my outdoor tomatoes and weed but close... so soil was fine now but my soil container where wrong. In the beginning i used small pots like 3 liter... much more work and small plants... then i used 10 liter pots... less work medium plants... than 20 liter pots and voila first time big plants and less work with watering & fertilizer... next try was 35 liter pots... like same result as with 20 liter pots... so it was clear to me to use around 20 liter if little more so better... i put them direct before they go into flower room in the final 20 liter container. With Sativa it is more important that u use a big container because they flower longer...

Ha I'm nearly in the exact situation as you
Haven't bought weed in coffeeshop in years. It's as you say, even the best buds there are usually chem grown and if you know the taste of clean organic buds you just don't want anything to do with that anymore. Can't be good for your health either if you can TASTE the chems right?
I can also relate to your friends craving your stash... I usually make the calculation that I need at least 400g/ year to myself so I wouldn't need to buy any, just hate running out and I only grow once/year outdoors now so I do need to watch it

I also like to play music with friends, and good weed helps me to appreciate more the music and the feeling, although sometimes i forgot the songs

1 Malawi & 1 GT have the biggest buds i have had in my Grow time and they still getting bigger..
