It's nice here. You have the coast, the mountains, the desert, and forests. I've traveled all across the country over the years and with the exception of some parts of Washington or Colorado I wouldn't live anywhere else.

Many of the hippies grew up and became Lawyers and other occupations in the real world. Some succumbed to drug addiction or ended up in mental institutions from overuse of hallucinogen's. After the Vietnam war ended they really didn't have a cause so they decided to embrace capitalism and raise families.

We had some modern hippies for awhile here in Oregon back in the 80's. They were called the Rajneeshees. They turned a 65,000 acre ranch into a city called Rajneeshpuram. They were more of a cult led by the Bhagwan. I knew an older dude that got caught up in that nonsense. Sold his house and everything he owned and gave it to the Bhagwan. He passed away a few years ago penniless and living in an RV that a friend let him park on their property. Netflix made a documentary about it.

guru who had a large American following. In his ashrams (communes) in Poona,

well sometimes you can be guilty by association unfortunately. The line of reasoning would be if Kyle was comfortable enough to say that to Jack while on stage, the assumption is Jack shares in his sentiment and they discussed something similar before the show. Its unfortunate because its unprofessional.

I used to wear my heart on my sleeve, but nowadays- I really shy away from saying anything political in business or work. Unfortunately in my line of work I interface with companies that I very much disagree with, but I have to represent my organization and support my family, its kind of a shitty trade off but for now its what I do.
