I would rather have kept democracy and the Constitution.
The people/democracy overwhelmingly wanted illegal immigration to end, and the 'legal' to be less or end. 1st and 2nd amendment are not real popular with the left. Part of the constitution.

The only reason 'hate' speech laws are not being used in the US is because at present they can not. See England( in reality much of Europe, Aussies, Kiwis) where they took the guns and a lot of free speech. A hunter's rifle with a scope would become a sniper rifle to these guys. Not joking, as Biden would say. The AR15 or whatever is only the beginning with them.

To nepalnt, you are really trigger happy when it comes to people you do not like. Are you 2nd amendment friendly also? I am guessing you are not. There were other options than shooting an unarmed 120lb woman doing nothing other than entering a off limit zone. The only people with guns there were cops.

C'mon mate, don't be so ignorant, we are absolutely allowed to own hunting rifles here in NZ, we can even put scopes on them (I own a Ruger .308 myself). In fact, our hunting scene in the south island is so good that many high profile Americans pay very good money to be flown in and go on expeditions there. We also don't have mass shootings on a weekly basis... We can saw whatever we want about our government, society, or whatever, and our women even have the right to choose what they want to do with their own bodies. Our country isn't even divided across red/blue political lines either, we all get along with each other pretty well despite our political affiliations, it's pretty good down here, you'd probably like it.

I used to want to check out that part of the world. Until Covid. The embrace of authoritarian policies dulled the shine for me.

Which part of those amendments cover anything that you're talking about?
1st covers freedom of speech, 2nd covers guns, not Bambi killing guns. Guns you can use to shoot other people that are attacking you. Social media has been using censoring for some time now. It is nothing much at this time but that is not the future if the left has it's way. It has been stated by many there. I realize the right has some loons too.

Bro Nature good to hear you can own a few guns FOR NOW. I doubt you will do fine using your guns on people breaking into your home. As to your freedom of speech I do not know as I do not live there but heard it was not great. I believe in England you can get in trouble using a SWORD in your own home on an attacker. hehe These things move in increments.

I think it was that nut that killed all the Muslims that screwed the semi auto thing in New Zealand. They did the same in Norway. I admit that having semi autos causes/helps? many murders each year. Driving cars, eating high calorie diets, stress, fentanyl etc. kill just as dead.

As I said, these things move slow and always in the same directions once started. 1984 style.

the mass shooters in america share common factors. poor mental health and are prescribed drugs that alter perception , moods and hormones . you are more likely to be drugged in america by your own doctor than in new zealand. in nz crime has rocketed since they implemented the global socialism model that many countries that built wealth through capitalism are enduring . new zealand is not what it was and is not improving . and what are you hunting with your american buddies when you go out with those rifles ? that is not exactly great either . it is good down there, only it used to be much better

The 2nd amendment was not to help you shoot targets and deer. It was a protection against tyranny and self defense in general. Funny that tyrants always want gun control. Why does Trump/orange Hitler not want it?

I know England is facked now. I assume the same fate is awaiting New Zealand and Australia. I never thought a country like Australia would be so passive in accepting what they have. Outlaws from England originally or a lot of them were.

On supposed democracy, the people of the US and really many other nations do not want illegal or even a lot of the legal immigration. They were shut down all over the world. It does not exist. There is no democracy at all anywhere. The US was supposed to be a republic and that has been used by powers to subvert the will of the people. I realize a full on democracy can be dangerous and has lots of problems too.

I was told to vote for Trump... but I didn't.

At least I voted.
Funny, I was told I have to vote for Kamala or we would no longer have freedom.

I sure as hell have not seen true freedom in the USA in my lifetime, better than most countries for sure, but definitely not freedom. If I don't pay my taxes government troops will throw me off my land, kill me if I resist tyranny, but I deal with it because I can't find 100 million people to refuse to pay taxes with me.

Restricted weapons such as stun devices and pepper spray require a permit issued by the New Zealand Police. Some weapons are prohibited items, and can only be imported if you have a consent to import issued by the New Zealand Police. This includes: Automatic opening knives such as flick knives or flick guns

you need a license to own a rifle . you can't own any weapon if you were a convicted felon , as you could not get a visa either . new zealand has strict laws . the same people with mental illness in america could not be permitted to own a gun in nz.

a pensioner was jailed for two years recently for shouting at a policeman during a protest against the two tier policing system,,, he died in jail . other people have been jailed for offensive words....

in the u.k we are legally allowed to own a one shot musket and handful of gunpowder. any other weapons such as shotguns, rifles requires police checks, tests , license etc and additional rules and regulations. it is not worth the hasssle to even apply . it also costs money too

the police have helicopters , stun guns, rifles, machine guns and such.... we are permitted a one shot musket and a crossbow

no i was scared because i have small children (one was born during the pandemic) and i learned about it... instead of being gifted what to think like how oan, fox, and newsmax watchers were.

no, believe it or not, some humans... we actually read critically. it's nice!

just a quick follow up... were the mass graves just faked to scare us as well?
Well, research would have told you kids aren’t in danger of dying of covid. Hopefully you didn’t jab them with “the experiment”.

lol at mass graves for covid. You were duped. All while reading “critically”. Wow. I feel bad for you.

a few stupid things to unpack from your comment (amazing with so few words, well done)

1) you need to do the research yourself (for reasons which hopefully become clear by the end of this)

because:

2) i mentioned they are YOUNG kids, and that one was LITERALLY BORN during the pandemic (can't understand why that's important? even though it's about info we knew in march of 2020? surprise surprise... keywords for google: "j curve")

3) even though death was CERTAINLY a possibility for my kids (again, j curve... plus even at the least vulnerable, 7 years old or so, kids were being hospitalized and sometimes rarely dying), it was more the other things besides death that we were afraid of.

mass graves for covid.
so like... they just dug them for fun? or what? please explain it like i'm five, cause you're obviously at a WAYYYYY higher intellectual level than me...

The younger you are the safer you are from Covid.

Fear is a tool of oppression.
