there is this saying a rising tide floats all boats: when im making money and you are making money everyone makes more money
this is what made america great
not everyone is making more money. and a bunch are making WAY more. in the '60s and '70s, CEOs made about 20 to 30 times what their average employee made. now, it's about 340 times. seems fair to me. i mean, they have aides & gofers to do their work while they are playing golf or "having lunch" with their secretary. they NEED their relaxation time so their guilt complex doesn't give them ulcers...ps- i'm lying about that last bit. those tone-deaf motherfuckers think they actually deserve it.

 Its like you're her campaign manager

If I was she'd be five points ahead in every poll.

I'd be a better strategist than the morons that ran shillaries campaign. I've studied how Plouffe and Axelrod turned Obama into a two term President. Pure brilliance.

I never understood why clinton turned down the offer of that talent to help and chose to go with that kid that was way out of his league. clinton should have beaten trump. She won the popular vote. But when she should have been pounding on doors in the rust belt she was galivanting around in Georgia which she didn't need. It was painful to watch the mistakes her campaign made.

Bad strategy cost clinton the election. As much as she was disliked she still should have beaten trump.

I'd be an asset to any campaign. I understand the electorate more than these people stuck in a bubble.

What's good about Icmag is the quality of people. Despite this being a thread about politics which typically get really heated with people being aggressive. For the most part with a few exceptions everyone is cordial and not aggressive with name calling and insults.

I find that refreshing. I guess we're all growing and smoking good weed which keeps us all grounded in civility. Smoking a fat doobie brings out the best in everyone.

Now I want to go fly a kite. Looking at kite making plans right now. We have just the right amount of wind where I'm at. Park down the street.

Plenty of wind in Astoria. nice beaches

There's old WWII gun batteries along the coast south of Astoria. The lady and I explored them. Pretty cool.

I think Oregon was the only place on the US mainland that suffered casualties from the Japanese in WWII.

In 1945, a Japanese Balloon Bomb Killed Six Americans, Five of Them Children, in Oregon

There was also a group of hikers that encountered unexploded ordinance that had been dropped by the Japanese that killed some of them in the 80's/90's

yup. he has gone out of his way to piss off everyone in the country except for the cretins that were going to vote for him anyway. not much of a recipe for success...i'm enjoying watching him shoot himself in the foot on a daily basis, actually.
Any bets he drops a hard "r" sometime before November?

It's sad to see the promise China had for it's people crash and burn the way it has. I'm talking recent. Not historical. China was on top of the world ten years ago. Now their country is falling apart. 1.4 billion people all messed up in the mind watching everything fall apart around them. Won't be hard for the CCP to convince them that war is their way out and try to invade Taiwan. They have plenty of young men to send to their deaths just as a distraction so those in power stay in power.

I see a military conflict involving Taiwan happening in the next decade. There is a reason the US is subsidizing TSMC building plants in the USA. We can't be crippled by a Chinese attempt to take Taiwan.

For those that don't know, TSMC is the biggest chip manufacturer in the world. They contract with companies like Nvidia, AMD, and others to manufacture chips for them. Fortunately we have Intel which also has large facilities that can manufacture chips and they've been expanding.

The Chip's Act that was enacted a couple years ago was a big deal. It's in our national security interests to have control over the production and prevent any disruption due to overseas hostilities. We need these facilities on our soil and not be dependent on foreign sources for critical goods.
No, they don't actually have a lot of young men and that's partly why their system is collapsing. The One Child Rule fucked them for a generation or two.
