so did you get a radio shack illuminated pocket microscope or something to check trichs?
i like em cloudy, with a few amber.

you can go by pistils though if you wish, but i love looking at trichomes.

if you go by bud development, and this is from mandalamike, not me, take them just before they stop pushing out new pistils. while there are still just a few white ones left. i have found this to be true, and at that stage the trichs are almost always cloudy.

well, the girls have all dried out today. their first day ever without water. tomorrow morning i'm going to flush with a very light grow fert solution, to flush out any chem buildup from the lack of drainage, and at the same time receive a boost of nitrogen. hopefully that will slow the yellowing so the buds have a bit more time to grow.

thanks for the compliment, Rob. the majority of these were vegged for just three weeks. i was running out of room in veg, so i had to move them over to the bloom before i otherwise would have. however there is one plant in bloom that has been LST'd that is a much better looking plant than the rest, and that was vegged for four or five weeks...

that's a great looking LST'd girl btw. go floro's!

here's some more pics cause the first snow of the year just hit today, and hit hard, so i'm stuck inside! (thanks again to BreathofWater for the cannabudder recipie: i ate a couple brownies the moment i woke up and i feel fantastic.)

i'm still learning to work the focus on the camera (obviously), but one of these days you'll see a crisp killer-looking nug. ; )

NZ: luckily i was on scholarship. only cost me $20,000 haha "only". and i can't wait myself for the smoke report.

well everyone, not much to do tonight. so here's a few more bits o' eye candy... day 32 for most of 'em. the big lst'd girl is coming along, i think two weeks or so. enjoy.






i had a slight overwatering problem, resulting in mag and nit deficiencies, but everything is taken care of now. in a week i think they will be exploding. : )

if i were you though, i would remove the lower leaves that dont look very good though.
my rule of thumb is if i determine the leaf that be %50 unhealthy, i remove it (from the plant and room, dead leaf matter in the room only brings more probs, but you prolly knew that)


Man that Ice is is making my mouth water... both hands on the keyboard though!

nzjay, poppin: we're almost there! a few weeks and all will be good, insha-allah (god willing)... i learned arabic once. long story. i can't tell you. haha

anyway, i bought a 60-100x lighted pocket microscope. but i'm having a hard time getting a clear picture of the trich's. do you just put the thing up to the bud and look? or do you clip a small part of the leaf and put it on a flat surface to examine?

maybe i just need a smaller microscope...

Hey khaleel i cant beleievw ive missed this thread. I just gave the this thread a once over and imust say you are doing very well 4 your 1st grow. Your space is extremely clean broh.

for tthe above qoute you can do both, ive found cutting a resin covered fan and placing on a flat surface really helps me out. And i keep the dial on the microscope all the way in, so the view/eyepiece is not extended. Hope that makes sense.

keep up the gr8 work and harvest is just around the bend.

i clipped a small piece of leaf with a grip of trich's like you said, and it worked grerat. only a portion have started to turn milky white, so i'm sure i've got at least three or four weeks yet.

but man they look cool under the microscope.
