Khaleel, dude so lucky man. You must have some awesome friends to just gift you some Jack Herrer seeds, chronic stuff man! Any pic of the nugs the little girls (hopefully) came from! Hope you get all 3 phenos in ur females and then a crazy potent male for seeds!!!

grassart: yup. actually it was the combination of good friends, and bad luck on their part. they had a small garden in their basement, but the friendly neighbors overheard the not-so-friendly neighbors talking about a "skunk" smell coming from the house, and as another of the neighbors is a cop, they pulled the plug on the room. and asked if i wanted some seeds. their misfortune shall be another's beauty. and at least it ended with a voluntary take-down and not a knock at the door. 
i didn't get to see the nug. and i won't really put much credo into the jack herrer bit until it's in my bowl. haha. for all i know it could be ditch weed.
but just in case, i'll give 'em love and see what happens!

awwww man.. i shall vouch for the jack my friend. it's good shit. definitely top "easy to get" strains in nyc, after the diesel of course. put my boy to bed when he had it. we're over at my other friend's house. dude just asked if he could lay down for a bit. next thing i know, he's drivin his knee into my honeybun, climbin on the bed to lay down, damn near missed my bag of chips lol. he went beddy bye that time. he did the same with the diesel cept he didn't get a chance to ask if he could lay down. he just knocked out right in the chair lol.

i am a huge fan of jack herrer... i spent four months in the Netherlands during the fall of 2000 and experienced some killer j.h. on the regular, i'm lucky enough to say. what i meant was i have no real way of knowing if these seeds are really jack. the friends i got 'em from are trustworthy enough, but some of the company they keep are a little on the wannabe side. wouldn't doubt it if someone just said they were jack herrer because that's the only brand of weed they knew. haha
BUUUUT, at any rate here's to hoping for the best!! i'll put them in the clone rooting cubes and see what happens. i've only germ'd with soil/perlite before, but what the hell i'm good right now so i'll try it. i can always put them back in some dirt and dance a dance and they'll be out in a few days.

well, here's an updated pic. just a few more days along. this is another Chrystal plant, day 11 of bloom...
and here's the rest of the room. i tried doing some LST, but of course i bent it too far (should have paid more attention to when i watered them
). so the two circled in red bent all the way over. guess that's what practice/experience is about. hopefully she'll pull back up. both these girls were hardy growers.
that's it for now! the jack herrer seeds will go in tomorrow so i'll post pics as soon as they are up.

hey guys, what's up. so i was typing on someone else's thread when i mentioned something about my black tubs i keep the plants in. i went straight to the store and bought the clear round ones. check out the result. with mylar on the floor and plexiglass over it, the clear tubs let the light shine through. hopefully it will help with the limited space.
here's a shot of the floor... i need to go back and grab and 8" clear tray for the big girl.

as much as my OCD leanings would love to do it, i'll try not to bore my readers with daily pictures (i'm taking a break from "the real world" right now, so i have a WHOLE lot of time on my hands haha). for now i'll just report that the jack herrer seeds (4) went into the medium yesterday... i'll probably do a start-to-finish "new grow" thread so that will be something to look forward to.
on another note, my two girls that went through the not-so-successful LST attempt of mine are looking healthy, but still bent over from my work. (just in case anyone who suggested LST to me is super-analytical or of a sensitive nature, i want to be clear that i would never be stupid enough to be mad at someone cause they made a suggestion and i dicked it up! this was 100% my bad. i looked into it, read for no less than three hours on the subject, and i had more than enough info to know what to do and do it right, but i was medicated and a little overzealous...
a rookie mistake. but i have a good feeling about LST, and i will get it down soon, so all is good 
). but now that they are bent over, i'm not sure if i should tape them back up or something. it's been 48 hours and the spot of the bend is looking a little brown. what should it do? i could just lop the plant off and watch it bush out. its only been 1 week of bloom so i think it would still fill in quick. thanks for any help!

i got the idea for the rubber bands around the pot from someone on an lst thread here... i tried to find the person to give him a proper shout-out but i couldn't find it and i don't have time to keep looking, so if you're out there, thanks! i thought of christmas ornament hooks to go around the plant, the ones with a vinyl coating so they don't eat into the plant, then just secure the attached string under the rubber band. works pretty well.

Hey K,
Everything is still looking great, as for the browning, someone more knowledgeable than me will have to answer. I would suggest to mend it to the original position, but don't let that brown run rancid, (If it gets to bad you may just have to chop it and offer it to the Learning Cannabis Gods). Wouldn't want any funk bringing that clandestine grow room down. I have found that twist ties and better yet pipe cleaners work well for LST. Maybe start the LST a little earlier in their life, so you don't have to bend as far, unless I missed that that is what you did and just got overzealous, like early in veg. I do like that rubber band idea though, saves from drilling holes. Keep up the fine work man, and the rewards will be fun, and next time around you will know just how hard you can slap those beitches around...lol

cannabeard, yup, overzealous and just not as cautious as i should have been (just picked up an ounce of Holland's Hope... heh, heh. whew.) i took the tallest girl i had and tried to put her in a question mark. the next one wasn't as bad, but it still bent. also these were in four inch square pots. just shoulda known better than to try that.
i think i have it down now... the girls staying in four inch pots are just going to go through as is. the ones in eight are getting lst'd. i'm going to pick up some pipe cleaners though. i think that will be easier than the string. thanks for the idea, beard.
