That schrom x pre soviet afghan has really wide leaflets! Looks like a good indica. Any pics of the parents of the line?

What is schrom?

Master kush looks exquisite! How many more weeks does it have to go? A mother that old will have a good root system. and energy stored up. Going to be some good flower!

Schrom is romulan x colombian made by ic member Schrooomy420. Theres a couple threads. Ograskal did some amazing grows of it. The PSA male was found/used by Tharealogkushman from The Source Genetics. Cant speak on its provenance

She sure does look pretty, end of week 5 now so it'll take 3 weeks max. ✌️

I couldn’t make up my mind, so I just went with something reliable.

NL5xAfghan from Mr. Nice.

I guess I’m still looking for something piney though. Goddamn, this is going to get expensive. 😆

Not sure you'll get the pine you're looking for with the Mr Nice. The ones I've tried or grown have been fruity or hashy but no sharp pine. Freezeland definitely has the old-school pine terps. Real Gorilla Seeds sells them cheap. The pine terps must be recessive genes cuz they are easily lost. I haven't seen straight up pine weed since about early 90s. Only thing that renotely resembles that old-school Afghan is the 79' or the Freezeland that I've come across...and I've been looking for yrs. Good luck on your search.

Pine Tar Kush may be what you're looking for, old Tom Hill cultivar. Humboldt CSI has them. Tom talked about it on The Potcast, when he created the name he said he thought it had a piney flavor.

I have early skunk x lebanese as well as the Sterling Skunk IBL, Pine shows up somewhat in my cultivar but its mellow and background. Would be sweet to find a line that brings it out loud!

My pine tar doesn't have the pine terps. Very classic nice stuff but more fruity. I've got phenos smelling of pear,. apples and limes with a slight skunky background. I've always thought the name represents the sticky pine tar resin feel of the bud. No sharp floral pine like the late 80s early 90s stuff. Hate to say I think it's been long bred out. One bad cross somewhere down the line is all it can take to lose a certain fragile recessive terp.

Tom was just speaking on how they came up with the name and wasn't saying it was a loud pine pheno, just that it was part of the profile. I'll keep looking.

I actually have something close. Somehow a few plants in the cultivar are separated from the fruity and have more pine-like indica flavor. Its a great morning smoke. Very mellow and more body effect.

I'm keeping these separate, will do some work with them, soon, may be able to find it stronger in some of them. Need to get through all the jars this time. Breeding is a lot of work smoke testing everything is what they say! Labor of love. :smoke:

I find it to be only average as compared to say freezeland or 79xmas in buzz, terps and flavor. Your basic run of the mill indica. Grew it for a while but found other indicas more to my liking. Hope this helps.

He said it had some special plants in there, and its not the most stable variety. He said X18 is a great line because its unique from and different origin so its good for breeding purposes but not necessarily as strong as PTK, I think he said.

Thanks for letting us know your experience, linde!
