White Widow Grow

Hi, Uni. No, i hate those yellow leaves, and growth has stalled. Just inserted plants under the new vegging lights i bought. Just flushed them, and will give them mild food tomorrow. Might be lockout.

High bri! :wave: Nice grow! Im not a fan of the compact fluros, did I miss why you changed them? Anyway, looks like you are doing well so far. I'll stick around to see how you do. Peace, TBug

Hi TBug. Tx for stopping by. Why don't u like the fluoros? This way i can autowater every size of plant i need. The large ones in the same tray as smaller. I thought the lights on the sides of the vegging plants would be good for branching? It also gives me a lot more space, and the lightintensity should be way better, or am i wrong? I'vea allready setup the other setup just behind for vegging same size clones and have a some table space. Please explain why u don't like those bulbs? They were pretty expensive. Each put out 1230 lumens pr 20 watt? Anyway these give me some oportunities of growing larger plants and train them as bonzais before flowering and stuff.

High bri! Oh, they are versitle. Dont get me wrong. But they are VERY ineffiecent. I found they made my babbies streach too much, so I went back to the strips. but by using them the way you are, it may work out just fine. ...it will be interesting to see. Peace, TBug

ah, ok Bug. That calms me down. Thought i might have made a bummer. I would think they would work much better than fluoros? I was thinking of putting up 10x4' fluoros instead of these. But how would a hps 250w work over this area??? im currently using 300w on these 15 x 20w bulb. They were quite expensive (actually i think i almost could've bought a small hps for this price. Would a small hps light up the whole area as well? If small plants have to be far away from bulb because of big plants in the tray?
If i decide to buy a hps instead of this i definately did a lot of work on this octopuss lamp, but at least i have a perfect scrog screen, and could put the octopuss in the flowerroom maybe???????????????????? Help me out getting this as effective as possible

I think i've found out what the problem might have been with my plants. The temp of the rez water has been about 15c or so. I understand this is way too cold??? Maybe this has caused some nute lockout???

Okay, today was the day where i finally got the heater. I put it to heat to 25c in the rez, and put fresh half strength ferts in it (the 3 year old ferts, which a very fine according to a guy from GH)
I also bough reflectors to all the small cfls i bought. They direct the light very effectively. I'll post photos tomorrow of the new growth finally. Definately have been looking forward to seeing the plants improve ;))

Hi Guys. Update time. Took some pictures of the plants today. The water is now 19c and still going up, just very slow. Took me 3 days to get it from 9c to the 19c. The water is 2/3 strength with fulvic acid in a pretty large doze (recommended dozage, which is albout 1/4 l, so it's a quite expensive product. Im using Diamond Nectar, but will use a cheaper fulvic after this bottle)
The small Jack Herers are growing nicely i think. Two of them look like overfert. Looks like it's the same pheno, that isn't as hungry. Should i trash the two?
Also, would the 2/3 GH ferts be a strong food for these small plants? They all get the same food at this time. I think the Widows are getting better every day, but the larger leaves still yellow a lot. I'm thinking of vegging them for another two weeks to be able to clone the Jacks and put in the flowering room together with the 6 widows. Just think that it would be a waste of a lot of good light to give the 6 plants the 600 watter alone?
Here they all are. The 600hps is put over them until im using it in the flowerroom;

Made this bubble cloner. Really looking forward to seeing how fast it is. The water is 29c. Is that a nice temp?

PLEASE give me any advice to get the plants healthier. Is the 2/3 fert ok?

My plants have been waay underfed. Just received the ec-meter today, and it read 0,4, so i put more fert, now it's 1,0, so hope some of the yellow will disappear.

Maj Pothead: Where you getting DN for $12 a quart, $20/qt anywhere I go...

Mibri: Others may not agree, but try the GH "Lucas" Formula ( Veg: 0mL grow, 5mL micro, 10mL bloom/gallon and Flower 0mL grow, 8mL micro and 16mL bloom adjust nute strength accordingly for plant needs keeping 2:1 ratio of Bloom Nute:Micro Nute). I never really had problems using it and hardly ever changed rez, Honestly thinking I should have stuck with GH with the problems I created by switch to PBP (If I don't sort it by the time I finish gallon of PBP I'm going back to Lucas). I NEVER adjusted PH just topped off and if you get really comfortable PH drift can clue you to which of the 2 nutes you want to use more of when topping off: one of the reasons I went several months without changing rez.

Thanks m8.
I paid almost 40$ for this 1l bottle, so 10$ went in the rez this first time, hehe. Yes, but i think the meter is somewhat broken. It doesn't get steady. Sometimes it jumps down to 0,6 and then up to 1,4 again. Maybe a loose connection

Hi, Crazy.
I allready bought the bloom and micro ekstra nutes, just have this 1 bottle of grow, that i don't wanna throw away - might as well go in. As soon as this 1l is gone im ready for Lucas's Formula.
My ph is getting much better. Just put up a rainwater collector with 500l - allready full because of this shitty weather ;)) The rainwater i collected is a little coloured by the moss that grows on my roof. Will that be a problem? I made a small filter with rockwool qubes in a pipe to take the worst.

Hi Guys
Here are some pictures. I think the plants are still healing. Ec is 1,0 i think and hope. Shouldn't this be ok? So now i don't really have to measure the ferts, right? I just have to add for instance Lucas 2:1 bloom:micro until i reach the ec i want?
Widows around the smaller Jack Herers;

This is very branchy. About 2/3" between the nodes

Flower water is getting ready

Can u guys see a Jack sativa pheno here? Some a slimmer than others, but i don't see the VERY slim leaves, that i've seen sometimes;

They will be put to bloom very soon now. maybe 3-4 day. Just wanna flower The Jacks with them and be sure to have a couple of clone within a week of flowering.

First, why you have plastic covering the one Widow's pot? You want the rocks to dry somewhat between floods. As for the rainwater, are you collecting runoff from the roof? If so, the water is collecting alot of foreign matter in the process (the "moss" you spoke of) you want to collect the water in fall in a funnel or trough that you keep clean, it'll keep the ppm's and pathogens to a minimum. If the meter you purchased doesn't get "steady" how much is it drifting? Mine will drift 0.01uS/cm during a measurement due to mix being a lil more concentrated in parts. That's why I keep circulating pumps in the rez and do all checks after a flood or after I turn on the pump to get the rez mixed and the meter stays much steadier. Also if the probe's pins are recessed you need to be sure you do not entrap an air bubble in the probe while taking measurements. And don't worry too much about not seeing sativa JH pheno, they sometimes take on a diff look in flower in fact from overfeeding with the PBP, my White Rhino clones looked more like the Blue Mystic clones. They hardly branched and the leaves looked different in shape a bit and darker in color even after fixing the overfert problem.

Hi, Crazy. The plastic is mylar. Just put it there an afternoon, to see how much light it would cast back up. Not worth doing anything about. It's not on there anymore. Just forgot to take off.
Yes, it's runoff from my mossy roof. Green stuff, but not as high ppm as the tap water. Just figured it would be a quick way to collect a lot of water. It will take ages to fill up the tank with only a m2 to collect, won't it? That must be one of the only advantages living in GB i have ever heard of. They could be sure to fill it up every single week or so, hehe.
When i leave my meter in the calib solution it drifts from 1,41 to 1,60 or so in a day. Need to open yet another cal.sol. to see if the meter still drifts or if it's the solution getting denser or something.
The ec is about 1,0 in vegging now, for all plants, ok? How high should i make the water in this flowertray ?

Am i right that i can depend on the ec-meter now and just add the fert in the lucas formula 2;1 bloom;micro when i wish higher ec? So if this is true, that would mean that u need to add more fertilizers in rain water to get the same ec. Will this not burn plants? Or how does this work?
I think my plant problems have caused the plants to grow very very dense. I think two or three of the plants are gonna grow to just one big fat bud formed by the dense branching.
Hope i'll get a Sativa in the Jacks, but i guess they'll be good anyhow.

Mibri: What temperature are you calibrating the meter at? My calibration fluid is 1413us/cm @ 77F (25C) but drops to 776 @ 0C/32F and rises to 1575 @ 31C/87.8F. You should be doing ALL meter calibrations @ 75F/24C for correct calibration unless the meter has built in temperature offsets in the program of the meter. bring the meter and fluid in you house over night and calibrate after 4-5 hrs so the fluid temperature can stabilize. I'm betting that's your problem cause your grow is in a detached shed/garage right?
