Great thread and grow ya got here Mibri :yes:
I really like your veg area set up with the flouros.
Looks to me like your older Widows are lookin for some N :2cents: Seedlings will let you know when they need nutes, some start off yellow and light...nature has given what they need to survive on their own for a few weeks.
You're working with some potent strains. Jack Herer isn't my style of buzz (a little racy for me) but it is extremely potent. First weed in a long time to make me paranoid :eek:
Good Luck with the flowering :ying:
Thanks for the kind words bro.
Yes i like the vegging area too. The big table makes a nice working station as well. (there's an old bench in the wall in front of the area for a nice sit)
I gave all the plants full strength General Hydroponics yesterday - also Jack Herers, and this morning they all look better. The leaves are straightening out and starting to get greener growth.
Can't wait to try the Jack Herer - well and the Widows. First attempt to grow indoor, and i'm really enjoying it. My country is getting darker with shorter days now, but when i go to the 600w hps i just get happy. Nice with the extra sunlight.
You sure make me unpatient describing that Jack Herer. Will be great fun. I'm without weed at all these days, so probably won't get any before my widows finish off. Was thinking about buying some, but figured the 3 months without weed will make harvest day even more enjoyable + my tolerance will be ready for a new stash. :woohoo:

Hi Jedi - thanks for the words. I don't know about Jack being one of the parents in the Cindarella (thought this multiway hybrid was too unstable to use for a breeding like that)? but don't know much about breeding. Just can't wait to taste this strain in my vapor. (that litlle vapor changed the experience a lot for me. Didn't like smoking much because of all the other stuff i inhaled also. Tar. This taste and high is very much cleaner. It's more like a cop of herbal tea (that tastes good - i DON't drink tea if not ill) but the flavours just come forward. Sorry i've had a lot of coffee - keep talking, doh . I'll stop right now. :badday:

Well Thank You guys for the kind words. Really nice to hear other's opinions on the first grow here. :woohoo:

Yeeeha - my plants definately were hungry. I gave them full strength two days ago, and the curling and yellowing is on it's way. Goodspeed to it. Hopefully the plants will be completely healthy and grow like.. (something something that grows A LOT) :yoinks:
Sorry old picture - just spicying up a bit. Update tomorrow with new, green pictures of partly topped plants

everyone is looking great bro!

you notice any wariation between the plants yet, more so the jacks that I was wondering about. those stems look nice and fat! You only intend on topping some of them or all?

take carew and good work thus far.

Hi Stealth. Yes i notice some variation. I got this one that is 3 times the size of the others;
see the larger one?

Then there's one really weak one, but i think i might done it wrong. The once under fluorsc actually look more healthy than those under hps. Next time i wont bother giving the seedling that much light, just doesn't seem they are ready for the sun that early (just the big one likes it a lot)
Yes the stems are pretty thick on the widows. This is my favourite, branchy and vigourous. I think all will be topped, but only semitopped (i leave 10% of the top shot) just learned today, that it's supposed to give even more tops than when u cut it of. There's just a couple of weak phenos, that i might not bother to do anything about but to fill out the space when flowering. They just wont be healthy and grow as easily as the others

Here are the Jack seedlings before planted into 6,5 l. pots

Good work with them Mibri, looking better now. And those JH aren't ready for nutes I'm betting, be berrer to go back to the veg tray with them and give each group what they want..

Just for reference:
In 1997 or so Mr. Soul went to Sensi Smile coffeeshop in Amsterdam and bought a bag of "sensimilla" Jack Herer (sensi coffeeshop should be sensi JH) In the bag was @ 10 seeds.
Few males and 3 fems: Cafe Girl, Genius and Princess. Princess was the mom of C99
Bros Grimm took Princess and made and outcross to another strain. Selected males and seeded Princess clones. 2 more backcrosses to Princess were made to Princess' male offspring to get C99. He called the technique cubing.

Hmm, that was interesting. I'm looking forward to trying breeding sometime too. Very interesting i think.
Okay, the Jack is back in the tray again tomorrow. Just that single one that just seem to suck up the sun and food. Growing very fast compared to the others. She'll stay
Just thought they were yellowing soo much, but i think you're right. The ones in the tray look much better. Just thought the sun could boost them more, but seemingly not neccessary.
I'll have a nice update by tomorrow morning (just after coffee....mmmmmmmcoffeeee)
Have a nice evening (or what you're having) Have a nice one!

Hi Guys
Today became cloning day. I cloned the 5 plants that was most vigourous. The last plants are pretty weak and won't be in the garden for long. I just topped them and they'll be filling the space in the flower room in the first grow.

The plants really needed the full strength fert. They are very healthy now

Notice i "topped" the plants leaving the 10% after reading a thread by Maj Pott.
They're supposed to grow even more shoots this way;

The Jack Herer seedlings are looking gooood.

well... this little girl needed some help opening the seed and don't know what the spots are but new growth is healthy:

I think i can see two sativa phenos but am not really sure. Two plants have slimmer leaves than the others but don't know if it's too soon to tell.
Here's what could be sativa dominated;

And this might be indica dominated, but dunno. The leaves are 50% wider than the two "sativas";

Please let me know. Are these young plants still too small to get full strength?

I planted the plants deep in the pots after advice from Imnotcrazy. Will save me some hight so sidebranches will start very low on stem.

Let me know what u think. Don't be a stranger. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
GOOD STUFF!!! :woohoo:

right on looks like a proper FIM procedure, when them 2 sets of leaves grow out they'll be kinda funky lookn n/p the new uppers will grow prim and proper. your plant will retain a single cola top, at the begining of sept i had to place 3 clones outside. they out grew my cab i FIM'd the main few times and the side growth branchs 1 time.

mum harvested @ 50 days clones @ 52 days

just an example of what you could expect from a FIM procedure, i took a indoor only strain {breeder said} lol transplanted it into the ground. i live in a desert region from the 3 clones and a cloned out mum i got 5 oz. i learned this method reading over @ overgrow back in 04, ive used it ever since. combine FIM along with LST and with perfect - near perfect grow conditations and your gonna get the max from a plant

Sure looks and sounds nice. The clones i made today have wilted(they almost lay down) Is that normal for newly cut clones? They are nice warm and moist. They are about 6 hours old

are they in direct lighting if so get them outta it, new clones require very little lighting. ambient light to 20-30w max ive had some wilt then stand back up in day or 2.

yeah, they're under fluorsc, but about 35 cm away and a lid on their tray, so i'll wait and see tomorrow if they'll rice

Hi Erin
I did that allready. I just put them on the fluor lamp for some heat and rest. I'll let them spend the night up there. I think they'll be ok.

Thinking about making that bubble cloner. Could i just put the naked roots into the pots with leca and grow this the same way without the rockwool?

Don't worry about the clones wilting for a few days. They like to scare ya, and then come back strong. At that point, you find out which ones made it and which ones didn't.

No one else asked so just making sure, but did you make your second cut under water? Can cause wilting, probably not in every one though more than likely just acclimating to the new conditions like everyone else said. And the bubble cloners are easy to make @ 75F temps and roots quick. Also I mentioned in your other thread that the hydroton holds alot more water than you'd think, I flood 20-30 min/3 hours (could go w/10min because you really only NEED the flood to hit the OF but the overflow running makes for lots of O2 in the rez). My pots are @ 1 quart/liter and never show signs of underwatering.

You can do one of 2 things:

1: Size pot according to how plant feeds/size of plant

2: Use smaller pot size for SOG and adjust flood schedult accordingly

Hi Guys. Woops sorry, Crazy, never got to answer u on this;
Hmm - i'll try it without a rockwool qube next time taking the clones. Am making a nice bubble cloner too. The widow clones are good now. I just put them all under these new bulb. Take a look at what i did to my vegging area. 15 x 20watt bulbs each 1230 lumens. Is this enough or do i need something else for this area? Or do i need even more lighting? It's really nice and flexible this. Each bulb goes up and down really easy, and big plants can get light on sides and top.

It's like christmas in there

Will these bulbs be as efficient as the old fluorsc?
Let me hear your opinion???

Oh - took some more pictures. My plants still suffer from something. I gave them full strength nutes a week ago and still nothing.

And there's this bad lady, who's been drooping since birth.I'll kick her butt if she doesn't get up soon;

More pics of the new setup. Allover plants look pretty good

This is my likey one

This is one missing something, N? More than full fert?

Maybe too strong on the nutes and locked out? Looks good on the Veg BTW, I have 120W in my mom cab what you did should be more than enough

sounds good, bro. I'll lower the nutes a bit tomorrow in new 250 l tank in new veg tray. That should make a good amount of water to get it steady ph and stuff. Ok great with that lighting. Was a bit more expensive that i thought, but just wanted it this way. Pretty efficient i think.
