Sounds nice, thx m8. I just don't have that feeling for the heat yet. So whenever i can hold my hand with comfort it should be okay for the plant also? That lamp sure sounds nice.Maj.PotHead said:looking very nice for sure
honestly the lighting distance chart is a good guide, but the back of your hand after the light reachs operating temps is a better guide. my 400w hps takes approx 1.5-2 hrs to reach full operating temp, i took the back of my hand and placed it under the light. close but not close enough to burn hand then i would lower hand till it felt good, now i hang a thermostat for fish tank the plain ole mercury 1's. i'll check in 30 min's to see temps then i adjust from there, ive found that sometimes just a reposition of a fan or 2 can also drop temps. that was for my old lighting now i have a air cooled hood and can touch the glassmy temps run 78-80 at 6inch below glass on hood

Mibri said:By the way ... we had some talk about ph downs, and weather it would be better to use ph-down bought rather than making my own from battery acid (sulphuric acid) I bought the battery acid and just received the ph-down today. Ph-down contains only... lol sulphuric acid, phosphorus acid and water hehe. Battery acid is definately the waaaaay cheapest way to go. I bought my first and last bottle of ph-down. The 1l of acid will last for years. 6$ for the 1l.
I didn't think of the bottles might be too old. They are a couple of years old. Haven't had much heat or light though.ps- on 2nd thought i scrolled back through to see what kind of nutes you were using...those bottles of GH look so old, im not sure how long they last because i always use my bottle within 6-12 months. If those nutrients were near heat or sunlight they may not work anymore.
I'll be having it on when lights are on from now on.When you say your blower is off for 1 hour and then on again...is this while the light is on or off. I would suggest that while your 600 is on, you leave the fan on the entire time. Those 600's get hot, but if you can hold your hand under the light the plants should be fine. I'll stop back soon and try to help out! -xH

I wouldn't worry about this (and doesn't look burned) - here is a Cindy 99 whose leaf margins have since week 3 or so curled upwards slightly like your WW. Last week substituted Cal-Mag Plus for 1/2 of the flowering ferts and she still wants to curl. I believe it's in the genes. She's got the most bulk of flowers of the batch so far at week 2:
I think you're right about that pheno. Does look a lot like yours. I think you're right about the request for nutes. I only fed like half strength still. Just heard so many saying to be carefull with the widow, so thought it would be okay. I'm gonna give the full strength tomorrow and see how they'll take it.
They all yellow. But still look quite healthy;

Some Jack seedlings in the middle. Comparing them to the ones under fluors. Just to see which will be better. So far it's pretty the same.
