so i was looking up this minke whale!
it says they grow up to 20,000 lbs(9k/kg)
how are they caught? you arent hand lining that thing
do they have a whale market? like where you can buy fresh meat like with all the fish?
when you say taste like liver does it taste like iron?
shoot the poor bugger with a giant harpoon that usually kills it quickly. they also carry high power rifles in case its only wounded. each year we take out about a 1000 whales, that's enough to cover the entire market. if you time it right you might buy some from the boat, otherwise you can find it fresh in supermarkets and at the fishmonger. and frozen all year round

Was pondering that myself, they make a great treat and look more appetising than the ones they sell in the local shops around here as well..

These will go down well watching the euros Darksider, washed down with some Guinness or nice craft beer.

Todays dinner fresh out of the sea yesterday and on plate today cannot beat the freshness from the sea so to speak, Buttered Lobster and garlic topped off with mature cheese, and chips, and cucumber, plus onions, and lettuce, with tomatoes, peppers, and carrots with a touch of mayo and olive oil. I grew up in an Atlantic coastal town, lobster was a regular dinner feature. Those look delicious and evoke tasty memories. Is your location Canada maritime?

doubt i will ever top yesterdays grub. i had nothing special for breakfast, just good cereal and fresh blueberries, thick multigrain bread toasted and slathered with butter and honey. late afternoon, i grilled burgers and spare ribs, with varied chips and salad. dessert was some of my home-made ice cream, with wild blackberries and red raspberries mixed in that i picked on the way home from fishing...caught a very pretty smallmouth in the limited time i had on the river. had to be careful with my casting, as nearly everyone that owns a kayak, canoe, or inner tube was floating the Holston River. had a couple of guys float by that had pool noodles for floatation, lol. we used to get the big long balloons that folks make animals out of & wrap them around our extremities and drift around on South Holston Lake shitfaced...aah, the good old days! RIP Paul and Janet and son Peyton. miss you all terribly...
