Frog legs sauteed in a cast iron skillet under a lid to retain the heat and steam, in butter with garlic, Cajun seasoning, thyme, sea salt, black pepper, etc.

7 colossal size (13-15-count) wild-caught Patagonia red shrimp, steamed, and dipped in garlic butter, from which the left-over garlic butter was added to the frog legs.

A half-glass of homemade fruit cocktail and raisin wine; relatively dry and potent. Not too bad for what it is. Might have another half-glass.

Nice eating Sir, though frogs legs are rather mild in the flavor department, they remind me of chicken with a similar texture to eating wings...

Your spoilt my good man, long live the King....

My wife likens the flavor and texture of frog legs to a cross between chicken and our rockfish. I tend to agree. I think access and size of the critter drives the pricing.

These frogs were raised in a Chinese farm, which, if one is knowledgeable in Chinese aquaculture where farmed shrimp are concerned, it brings to mind images best not developed in the brain while still eating.

I think there are still both wild-caught and farmed Louisiana frogs for sale on the market(s), but these weren't they.

These were sourced at a fairly well-known Asian Market of good quality in Anchorage when I was down there for radiation this last April. Sort of a bucket-list thing.

Have a few more bucket list items to be checked off yet, so there might be some other semi-odd items listed in my posts in the eating section here in the future.

The Patagonia wild-caught 13-15-count shrimp, however, are nearly always a deluxe item in the menu. Mother Nature's a good provider most often.

Yeah, good eats my friend. I still remember being young and my parents would have them legs rolled in flour, while the legs were still twitching.. 😂
