Perhaps in line with an extremist group's attitudes toward compliance with rules that involve others' health and safety (at a minimum) in pursuit of their ideological extremist agenda.
In that regard, the NY group is, in some minor ways, comparatively, exhibiting a generic trend in attitude similar to the Nationalist Zionists/Israeli Hard Right (i.e., Bibi's people), who see fit to jeopardize someone else's rights under all kinds of laws, because they claim that their God allegedly told them they could have someone else's stuff... Gaza, other peoples' health and safety during a pandemic, etc.
