War

the russians are beating themselves. the fighting in bahkmut shows the russians repeatedly attacking entrenched defensive positions with human wave type assaults.

russian losses right now are 500-700 men per day.

the Ukrainian forces are not fighting for control of bahkmut, they are fighting to exhaust the russians.

and to deplete the manpower and munitions.

it takes more resources to attack than defend.

soledar is not an important strategic point. neither is bahkmut. the roads and railways that supply them are important strategic points

the Russians were supposed to be preparing for a large spring offensive. now they have to wait because they are not equipped and don't have enough people.

the spring offensive is not going to happen.

meanwhile, the equipment keeps arriving. the Ukrainians are getting stronger.

the russian troops are ill-equipped, one group is complaining that they don't even have enough rifles or ammo. out of food and water.

warehouses full of russian munitions are being blown up. the ukrainians just discovered another large cache of 152mm ammo for the big guns. this time in the kharkiv region. in an area controlled by ukraine for 4 mos.

the winter is closing out and the energy systems in ukraine are still functioning despite the attacks on the grid. so putler just wasted a bunch of expensive, hard to replace munitions in another failed effort.

the entire southern front from kherson to kharkiv is a continuous dug-in defensive line.

almost no movement by either side in 4 months. little pieces of dirt going back and forth with no real progress made.

putler is trying to take and hold as much land as possible before this war goes to the negotiating table.

sometime in the spring the Ukrainians will launch an assault designed to cut the russian line in two from Zaporizhzhia to Melitopol.

putler had announced another mass mobilization but it's not happening yet because the russian people don't want this war.

young men are pouring out of the country in every direction.

nobody is volunteering.

there is infighting between the wagners and russian generals. prigozhin is blaming shoigu, the defense minister, for all the failures.

it really doesn't look good for russia now. they sought to fight a war of attrition after the initial invasion failed.

but now they are the attrited instead of the attriter.

i forgot to mention the new 150 mile range missiles the ukrainians are getting. this will allow them to cover all of crimea.

there was a train spotted in poland with 75 bradley fighting vehicles on it. all still in desert camo.

the british challenger and german leopard tanks are enroute.

the list is endless.

putler is threatening to shoot down western spy satellites but if he attacks even one of them his entire satellite fleet is highly vunerable.

Operation Burnt Frost was a military operation to intercept and destroy non-functioning U.S. National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) satellite USA-193.[1] The mission was described by the Missile Defense Agency as a "mission of safeguarding human life against the uncontrolled re-entry of a 5,000-pound satellite containing over 1,000 pounds of hazardous hydrazine propellant".[2] The launch occurred on 20 February 2008 at approximately 10:26 p.m. EST from the USS Lake Erie, using a heavily modified Standard Missile-3 (SM-3) to shoot down the satellite. A few minutes after launch, the SM-3 intercepted its target and successfully completed its mission.[2] The operation has received much scrutiny from other countries, mainly China and Russia.[3]

this satellite was hit from a moving ship at sea. it not only hit the satellite but hit the fuel tank precisely, which was the intention.

one missile fired, one satellite down.

the US, at the request of poland, is going to keep a large combat force in poland.

last month the first of the 101st airborne division arrived.

it's all over but the crying for putler. in the entire course of this 11-month war he hasn't gotten a single success.

all he has done is destroy.

WASHINGTON—The Biden administration is leaning toward sending a significant number of Abrams M1 tanks to Ukraine and an announcement of the deliveries could come this week, U.S. officials said.

The announcement would be part of a broader diplomatic understanding with Germany in which Berlin would agree to send a smaller number of its own Leopard 2 tanks and would also approve the delivery of more of the German-made tanks by Poland and other nations. It would settle a trans-Atlantic disagreement over the tanks that had threatened to open fissures as the war drags into the end of its first year.

I don´t know if it was a trick from chancellor Scholz, only delivering LEOs if the US are delivering Abrahams, but now there are more tanks, the european LEOs alone wasn´t enough.

yes, and the US just confirmed that the abrams are being sent also.

forgot to mention the ATACMS missile system

after the HIMARS arrived the Russians had to move their command and storage facilities 80 miles from the front to keep from being hit.

now, they will be vulnerable out to 150 miles, which means all of occupied Ukraine, including Crimea.

That's terrifying. Purposely creating a world encompassing debris field that will eventually take out every satellite in roughly the same orbit. That's our military intelligence for ya!

actually, this one was in a deteriorating orbit, and was about to re-enter the atmosphere when it was hit to intentionally rupture and disperse the fuel before it came down.

You forgot to mention: if the Ukrainian neo-nazis use it to "cover" Krim,
less than two minutes later (and for the following several thousand years)
everything north of Mexico shall be all desert. Ciao.

If a nuclear power loses in a conventional war, chances are high it will
turn into a nuclear one.
Do you grow cannabis or are you just a Russian bot? I'm wondering why someone would sign up to a cannabis grow site, only to make their first posts in a war thread?

The nuclear war stuff is bluff in this situation. Russia is not under existential threat. They are clearly the aggressor.
