we are still, today, at a balance point of nuclear capability.
we all know that no one "wins" a nuclear conflict.
Putin keeps rattling the nuclear saber in an effort to intimidate the nations sending weapons and supplies to Ukraine.
it is not working.
there have been direct communications between biden and putin on the subject of nuclear weapons in this conflict.
biden warned that any use of nuclear weapons in ukraine would immediately trigger a response "in like kind".
meaning that if the russians use a nuclear device on the battlefield, there would be a response of the same magnitude.
putin has also said repeatedly that he does not intend to use nuclear weapons in ukraine.

Russia is literally invading a sovereign country and killing it's people. That sovereign country is Ukraine. That sovereign country made political decisions Russia did not like so Russia decided to invade.
