i'm good with it. i'd be even happier if it made ALL nuclear weapons inoperable. Einstein said he did not know what weapons would be used in WW3, but that WW4 would be fought with sticks and rocks...

that works so well with dictators. Chamberlain with Hitler, for example..."deploring aggressive actions" is greasing the skids , nothing more, nothing less. KICK that can down the road...the further it goes, the longer folks can pretend it doesn't need to be dealt with. the velvet glove of diplomacy only works with moral people of principle unless backed with the fist inside the glove.

There seems to be the assumption, mostly from America and the American media that Putin is the second coming of Hitler. The problem with that comparison is that it's simply not true. Hitler was guided by supremacist delusions of grandeur that Germany could be the one world super power. Putin wanted NATO off his doorstep and to claim the parts of Ukraine back that he believes belong to Russia, strategic parts albeit, but if you listen to what he says not what is said about him, there is room for diplomacy from that end. America can go on about humanitarian rights and helping Ukraine all day long, but they don't give a shit, it's a proxy war where the goal is Russian regime change, Biden has even said this out loud, publicly.
War is bad, no matter what it's justified by. This is not WWII, it's not WWI (which the US joined for the exact same reason Russia attacked Ukraine), it's the war of a fading empire that can't see through it's own hubris to do the right thing and de-escalate this very serious threat to humanity. For the worlds sake, the US needs to stop poking the fucking bear, conceding does not equal defeat. Uncle Sam literally needs to be the bigger man here, that way we ALL win.

One slightly innovative thing that various governments are doing, is filling up caves with water and using photo tubes to watch for flashes, from Neutrinos.
They go faster than the normal speed of light in water, and shed their extra speed in the form of very occasional flashes of light known as "Cerenkov Radiation".
Normally the Neutrinos skate right through without colliding with anything, but sometimes a collision occurs, an Absorption event perhaps.
Any nuclear reactor that starts up on Planet Earth, sends out neutrinos that helps 2 countries like Japan and the US, which both have this kind of detector.
But China and Russia already have nuclear programs, the Neutrino detector is mostly to watch America's Designated Bad Guys, North Korea and Iran.
As far as Missile Defense, that is a JOKE.
From working for military contractors, I participated in the "Gossip Chain" for 3 different Fraud programs, that were successfully investigated in civil litigation etc. (e.g. $105 Million for the whistle-blower in the Phillips & Cohen case)
Laser Based Missile Defense does nothing to stop large fast moving missiles like Russia and China and India and Pakistan have.

I was referring to the newest war mongering headline "Russian made missile lands in Poland", sure sounds similar to "There's weapons of mass destruction in Iraq so we're invading them".
The US is not helping Ukraine, they're simply prolonging the misery in order to advance their imperialistic powers. Just like they were doing in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria, etc... They care about Ukrainians just about as much as they care about Black lives mattering. It's a bumper sticker to put on the back of your SUV, for privileged white people to talk about at the Oscars, to trick you into thinking your a good person and anyone else who doesn't think like you is a conspiracy theorist nutcase.
Did you serve AOH? Did you go to Ukraine to help them? Did you send your kids?
***Turns out that missle was from Ukranian forces and those two polish deaths were just a mishap.
