US mercenaries asking for help
What gets me about all the spending on Military aide is that a few months ago they were quibbling over as little as 1 billion dollars more going towards helping American citizens, essentially saying we just couldn't afford it. Now I don't object to helping Ukraine in the least bit but I'm just wondering where are all the politicians worrying about how much money is being spent now?
Americans are not that bad off. There's shortages at the stores, but still twice as much as when I was a kid. We complain about not being able to go to the theatre. Ukrainians complain about not being able to go outside. I don't regret the aid. I think a non combative " million man march" would do more good.

Nice narrative bro, but fortunately everything that happened and has been said during the last 20 years go in contrary of what you're assuming.
Just for the recall, Finland is neutral for the exact same reasons Russians are invoking toward Ukrainian neutrality. And "Putler" the "asian ogre from the eastern steppes" didn't invade Finland and never showed any sign he wanted to do so.
We can go further through facts and declarations, but don't think you will like what will be said and reported.
The fantasy of an "invasive" Russia is just that. Fantasy.

Not every comment is in comparison to what's going on in Ukraine, my point is that thru most of last year when people were still struggling to recover from the Pandemic and Biden was trying to pass his plan to strengthen Social Safety nets in what was being called the "Human Infrastructure" of his Build Back Better plan, all the Republicans and two now notorious Democrats kept negotiating the bill down quibbling over a billion here or a billion there. Saying that the Government couldn't afford all that spending after the bills passed at the start of the Pandemic. Now however I've not heard one peep out of any congressman or Senator about how we can't afford all this spending we've done and pledged to continue to do as long as the war in Ukraine goes on. I guess the fact that most politicians on Capital Hill are heavily invested in Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and other prominent defense contractors helps to make all this spending okay? Like I said before though, I don't regret that we're helping Ukraine, they do need this help if they want to have a chance at holding off Russia. I just find the inconsistency on politicians fiscal concerns...interesting.
Putin might not have invaded Finland but Russia when it was still the Soviet Union did twice first in what is known as the Winter War Nov 30, 1939 – Mar 13, 1940 and then again a shot while later in what is known as the Continuation War Jun 25, 1941 – Sep 19, 1944 and the way it all went down was eerily similar to Putin's attack on Ukraine. Before you go acting like you are the decider of facts from fantasy maybe you should make sure you have all the facts first.

Putin did not invade Finland and never showed any signs he wanted to do so, that's the fact that matters here and not what happened 70 or 200 years ago.
And still, i don't understand how the fact that Russia invaded Finland dozen decades ago would mean Putin is willing to do the same. You're just doing a slippery slope fallacy in order to strenghten your false narrative.

Finland has exactly not squat that Russia thinks they need, in contrast to Ukraine.
hard times means making hard decisions. the situation isn't perfect, but strongmanning russia into submission by using Ukraine as a proxy for the west & nato doesn't seem like it's going to work either.it would seem that the Ukrainians value their country more... the alternative is a global nuclear conflict is it not? i have not heard any other solution to this situation other than keep pumping Ukraine with guns and money and potentially ushering them into NATO.
