I have heard people online refer to Colombian chiba however I have never heard of it here in Colombia. Could be here but I've never come across it in the lat 12 years here.

Here is a few facts: All the original Colombian strains are still growing and can be found with relative ease here in Colombia. However they are not spectacular like there were before the cocaine took over. My theory is that for the past 30 years the fine Colombians were forgotten and neglected as they had little export value and zero domestic market. As a result the plants just kind of went feral and lost the uniqueness they had when selected for potency. And then there is the hybridization factor and adding any indica changes the plant and its effects (hence the nasty crippy).
I can say that currently i am growing here in Bogota verified Santa Marta gold, Punto Rojo and corinto. I believe these plants can be brought back to their original glory through selective breeding in their native climate (Colombia). But I am not a breeder nor do I have any intention of becoming one. However I have this friend that is and he shares my passion for these plants and Colombia.

Those are the facts and any more would be speculation. The future looks brighter everyday.

Here is a few pictures from today. All the plants in flower receive only natural sunlight and organic nutrients and at 2700 meters in the Andes.

Here's another phenotype of the high altitude Punto Rojo we have growing. She looks a little ruff but she is just getting started and I think she has potential.

My friend I have to say your Punto Rojos are of the finest quality and your ability to grow them so well outside of their natural climate, is truly a reflection of your growing skills and passion for the plant. You are a true ganja man and thanks so much for your posts.

Thanks red rider, great to see you growing legally. I hope everyone gets a chance to grow cannabis legally in the next few years.

PS> I posted smoke reports of the four Punto Rojo pheno-types on / IcMag seed vendor forum / Cannabiogen / Punto Rojo
They'll still benefit from longer curing and more smoke tests...(;-)

Thank you so much. The red snake in flower still has a long way to go but she is my favorite smelling plant in the garden, second only to the Mexiza. I spend way too much time smelling the plants and find myself always over by the red snake. She smells the best to me in the morning right as the sun is heating up. It smells similar to the Mextiza but not as sweet or pungent, with more of a spicy flower scent. Like the other CBG strains I've grown this RS has a unique aroma that isn't like anything I've smelled before but at the same time familiar. I almost want to say I detect a leather smell but softer. The smell is addicting to me and I end up smelling her through out the day. I have sampled some of the flowers even though she not done yet and I got high, not blown away high but very stimulating none the less. Good spicy taste although it wasn't really dry enough. I am hoping to save a good bit for curing but I don't know if I can keep my mitts off her that long.

So many beautiful plants from both Red and satva. Cant wait to see them all finished.

Hope you don't mind Red - and if you do :nanana: ! But, seriously, I can take it down.

Destroyer

My suns not so tropical at 400w. The lower buds are all dense golf balls that grow out directly from the nodes, no branching. Maybe from topping?

Good vibes for your finca search.

Destroyer

Man that is a very nice Destroyer Wildgrow! She has some Colombian in her no doubt. I have a few Destroyers around too, they love the Colombian sun but take their time finishing. I noticed that Charlie doesn't smell the destroyer too much. She does have a different smell but I like it and she is strong because I got soaring high smoking some immature lower buds. I got about a month before she comes down. This is the only plant Charlie warned me about its potency (and I smoke everything all day everyday) and he under exaggerates because the Hash fruit is straight up fire.

We don't top our plants or we haven't yet. I did in the past but I don't think it's necessary.

I agree on the beauty of Wildgrow's Destroyer. I'm so glad to finally have some of those seeds from Cannabiogen. I just don't know when I will be able to grow them. I have so many seeds to sow.

Man I'm glad you have Destroyer too my friend because I know you will love and really appreciate the quality of this sativa. I went to the first Colombian cannabis cup here in Bogota back in December and met some of the new generation Colombian growers. Of course I made some instant friends and one guy had destroyer entered in the cup. When talking with him he told me about his experience growing the plant here in Colombia (outdoors) he said it thrives in this climate. And when I asked about the effect, he looked and me with all sincerity strong dude strong. That evening when the samples where handed out and we began judging, I got one sample that cut through the rest and even Charlie remarked on its stand out quality. However I don't know if was my new buddies destroyer but it was the best of the entire night. The destroyer placed third and the first place went to my other good friend with his Mango which I only found tasty but not special.
Thaibliss I think this is one you might want bump up on your list.
