Also...an ale by a warm fire on a winters night is my idea of heaven. As is a pilsner on a summers day!
Seems that mosty posters in this thread are USA/Canada based..?
I live in England and love the thousands of different ales available in the thousands of unique and different pubs around. When I say ale I mean...not carbonated and served at roomish temperature (cellar temp...10degs or so). So many unique beers...the added warmth brings out the flavours...malty and hoppy heaven.
In terms of lagers (bubbly stuff), I really like Duval, Perroni, Heineken, Brewski (NZ Pilsner)
Never quite enjoyed bubbly and cold ales though...seems a shame to cool it down and miss those flavours.
European beer isnt really that great..... went to the great british beer festival few years back and didnt like anything there.
I only drink American IPA's and Strong american pale ales (pretty similar categories) and choosing one would be hard so I will name three that I LOVE!
In no particular order
A) Odell's IPA
B) Yak and Yeti Himilayan IPA
C) Backcountry Telemark IPA
I wouldnt drink a beer from the gas station unless i was paid enough for it to be worth it.
i get all my IPA's from my gas station -=[
JohnnyHopkins has very poor manners.
If you went to a big beer festival and didn't like anything, the problem clearly isn't the beer.
always nice, enjoying a corona right now, darnit no limes
That sucks!
