I had snips of blazees too but they didn't root.
I ditched Dogons cut. I vegged one up side by side with Windows which I kept because it was loads smellier.

It's crazy how they all display such similar traits. .I guess that's a testiment to sams line breeding skill and abilities to fix traits

Got a lovely bit cheddar give me that instant cringe/shudder when I inhale, rotten stuff nice high this bit too.

Anyone recall some of that blue cheese that had a blueberry oily/scented comdom smell? Not seen it for years down my end. Used to stink the street out and the linger stayed for hours.

Not seen anything like it in years dont know if its what youd call blues never seen it named that anyway..

After chilling with a q of Windows I'm pretty sure this is the cut hg got before they got the brightside cut,,I believe they did not run with brightsides in the coffee shop and the one they sold was different to brightsides,,, both may well be original cheese,, i bet the exodus crew got them mixed up themselves,,,brightsides is definitely the smelliest and the most afghan black tasting but Windows is more fermented cheddar in the bag and quite a lot sweeter than just sheer nose stinging when you put your nose in ,,brightsides stung my nose to fuk up close and from a distance it just stunk like hardcore skunk,,I'd have to run it on my system to be sure but it seems too sweet and complex in the savoury department to be brightsides

Has anyone started to do any DNA profile testing with cheese yet. I'm sure I read Chimera asking for samples.

I agree with what's being said with there being a few different cuts from the same Skunk #1 sensi stock that people had kept with the same Terpens profile of cheese. When the name cheese blew up anything with that cheese funk got labeled as cheese.
I think also the original lines of cheese and it's cousins, blues, psychosis, blue meanie etc are from old mothers with cuts being taken from cuts etc and what we're smoking seems differnt due to its lack in hybrid vigour.

Brightsides is possibly the first cheese ,, probably,,, but this other clone from window and homegrown Fanta seeds is held more widely as the original and could well have been the clone that coined the name "cheese" ,,, but remember if 89 cric Sensi sk1 was throwing out cheese phenos and breeding true then anything crossed with 89 circ sk1 is a bloody cheese hybrid too,,, sk1 cric 89 is original exodus cheese!! Brightsides is just a more afghan leaning pheno,,

To be honest I'm inclined to think this clone Window has ,, this is the one that coined the term commercially,,,the brightside is like a prototype from "the makers that brought you" brightsides was an outline of the original design not the end product that made it out and claimed the name

Just throwing this out there. I recently finished a plant of "RKS" from DNA Genetics. Single fem seed, so experience with it is very limited. But the buds had a distinct "cheese" type smell to it. Which led me to believe the DNA guys had a nice pheno of SK#1 they reversed to make seeds. Led me to believe finding a "Cheese" phenotype in those old seeds BR is selling may hold a "New Cheese" .

I am starting to think the clone that owns the name is the more commercial clone and not brightsides,,,,brightside had a precursor of the final product,,,both are original but one is less distributed and less refined version ,,,

but what's in a name "original cheese" who gives a Fuk ,,someone has had cheese phenos before and just called it a variation of sk1 ,, remember Sam has seen brightsides in Sensi coffee shop from Steve and he said it's a perfect example of sweet skunk so it's not uncommon in older less refined stock, why do we need to know what came first? ,,,the oldest I believe is brightsides,,the one that owns the name is windows

Its all interesting theory's, maybe we will never know for sure but I had a bit of a discovery last night when I smoked some of my cheese that Rick has also sampled. I've completely changed the taste!
Gone is the black hash taste I usually get, which to me is earthy, almost incensy with dark liquorice notes and its been changed to a sweet, grassy, bushy, herbal taste in my humble opinion.... There is still hints of the hash taste but it is usually much more pronounced, much more.
My Mrs has been going on at me for over a week, saying that its come out different this time, " its darker in colour and doesn't taste the same?" Was her words. I'm not much of a cheese smoker and have been concentrating on Chim's Rks and Cookies and just shrugged off what she was saying but smoked a nice joint of it last night and I was very dissatisfied with the taste.
I'm now convinced that subtle changes to how this clone is grown can cause major variation in taste, smell and perhaps even effect?
I definitely had some heat issue's, so maybe burnt off some terps???
I took her a good week longer than I usually do, so maybe over matured a bit?
I didn't flush as long as I should have, two weeks instead of three to let her yellow up more....I think to get the taste spot on, she needs to yellow in soil/bio.
I've only taken her to ten, once or twice before and that was years ago and I found it made her more narcotic, like I've smoked half a joint before and woke up an hour later to find the unlit spliff still in my hand and although she has a bit of a sleepy stone, I'm sure I've had her stronger?
Even smell seems a bit muted this time, I'm confused and enlightened at the same time, lol.
Rick was telling me about his cookie cut last night and mentioned the word Polymorphism and how she needs a kind hand to get the best taste from her, is what I'm tasting, seeing and smelling from my cheese this time, some sort of Polyphenism???????? Fk knows? One for Chimera
