U.K cheese brightside cut ?

oops realised I confused myself - its Dogons with the deformities (missing fingers on leaves few serrations) and its Windows that smells stronger. both have red stems but Windows is like streaked with red but Dogons is more covered.

I bet they are related somehow, but yeah, when I used to take cuts from a mother, the room would stink after.
Incredible terps in that cheese, that's for sure.

I know a few of the old LGA crew still grow my old blues clone..so that one is defo still about. .

It's a bloody good clone too..I believe it won 2nd place at the icmag cup a few years back..

Is livers n blues the same.... I think so, if not a perfect copy, rename type of thing.. I know ppl here don't care for the name livers lol blues is much more marketable....

I will say this The livers cut I have has always been on of my favorites since the first time I got her... phycosis was my least favorite but still good just doesn't cut thru walls... I liked the flavor n high more then the cheese ... the livers n cheese are equally stank but the cheese was sharper , the smell had a bite to it where the livers got a berry shoe polish, not sour sour but old milk type sour sumthin really indescribable for me still n I been smoking her for many years... when I got the cuts they were labeled livers, cheese, phycosis... same person sent me a blues clone a few yrs after I had first received the cuts, by this time I only had livers let the cheese go after a few runs cuz I liked livers more n was a different time (was in the east coast with limited mom space) , ran them next to each other only difference I could tell is the color of the zip tie labels...so I think they are the same... I still got the livers and have no plans to let her go anywhere.. my new cheese clone which I believe to be brightside/exodus did survive, recuperating nicely under a 400 for a few more days to relax n chill before she gets put to work under the boomers.... I'm liking the nice green new growth , this plant will look completely different in a week or 2... I know her flowers are nice but god damn I most excited for her extract potential...

Long time reader from the states here, first time poster ;-)~

So my question for you mates is what is the consensus on the Cheese cut that came out of H.A.Z. Manor that the Exodus Collective was passing around back in the day?

Thats the one this thread is about. Brightside was one of the verified people passing the real deal original Cheese clone around :tippet:

People call his "Brightside cut" but it just the provenance it refers to - i.e.. Its the real original cheese pheno Sk1 cos BS hung with the collective and untold people know his cut to be the one.

If Ive got that wrong I will soon be corrected and I apologise in advance if thats happens, Rick :)

I don't really believe there is any mutual consensus on exactly which story is accurate, there is many different variations on the origin of cheese, all that I've personally established is there is so many different cuts which are so similar in smell but have different structures and grow differently some finish perfectly at 8 weeks some take 10 there isn't a massive difference in product quality smell or taste. But apparently the brightside cut as it was labelled by our good mate Ric had a stink and taste like no other clone ...

now we know brightside had links directly to HAZ manor where the good old exodus collective occupied , and the story says that a man known as ofthehill / cheese farmer passed the clones to the exodus in the first place . Ofthehill popped the beans up on the chiltern hills a long way back , I also heard he never took clones either until he realised the stink a certain pheno put out in flower , so apparently the only clone took from the cheesiest pheno was revegged ..

Because there are that many different cuts we can only really verify brightsides cut and a few others as original clones from exodus , they say clones were passed out at the raves lol imagine that buzzing of ya tits in a underground rave " hey fella got something for you " ( expecting a nice fat line) :biggrin: Gezza pulls out a clone :laughing:..
Then others say real cheese clones were never passed out only crosses of cheese and it realatives ..

All I know Is i smoked cheese back in 2007 that was the equivalent of any high grade American / Dutch clone I ever had and I get about lol ..

Thanks guys, that's pretty much the provenance my research over the years has led me to as well.

Luckily a cut from that time/place/era had made it across the pond into some legit local grower circles and has been maintained for as long as I can recall. It's often referred to as UK Cheese in Detroit.

My first experience smelling/smoking that phenotype was in 1989 while travelling abroad in the service. It came from a soldier out of Adam. I do not recall a name being associated with it at that time, but as many of you know it's a pretty unforgettable experience and especially at that time. I'd always assumed it was a Skunk #1 pheno, the same one Sam the Skunkman was working with years later.

The aromatic quality or particular terpene profile that livers/blues,cheese,and to a certain extent psychosis share was definitely not unique to a very particular release of sensi seeds skunk##1 or super skunk or w/e it actually was (if we are ever able to find out..) in the late nineties. I have had plants which are very similar in terpene profile and raw stench power..also which had a very deep flavour when smoked barely dried. I bought some mixed seed from Chimera from a canadian site years ago when he was working the blueberry line and got one plant which had sweet cheese/blues written all over it as far as the smell and flavour was concerned.I dried the small plant which I doubt yielded and ounce of dried nug in my ex girlfriends house and it stunk the entire road out.. it is a true 'weed' smell,I imagine it must be very high in beta-caryophyllene.
GFxBB rosin got me super chatty..when I post looong it is that or ChemD rosin responsible..

One thing of note re: HAZ manor,the exodus crew and parties,and their offshoots and the other free party soundsystems which were around the UK at that time..many were organised and/or attended by people living in trailers or squats,and a super-chaotic lifestyle,fuelled by cannabis,party prescription type drugs and others,and alcohol...and being violently woken and up moved by vanloads of police at 5 am from which ever site or squat you happened to find yourself in..
That is not an atmosphere conducive of things like plant labeling,any kind of good garden practice with consistence,and overall reliability..and given it was not or even is not uncommon to find similar plants from seeds of that era I think it explains why there are so many 'cheeses' about that have been kept alive for a while.

This is one of the higher THC labs I've seen from the local "UK Cheese" cut, but a good grow usually lands in the high teens with terps around 3%. I've noticed this cut often carries a slight (< .1%) CBD and THCV within the THC analysis as well.

I'm well pissed off,as many of you might know i had the exo uk cheese cut since around 2006-07 and i've just got bk from hols only to find white fly have destroyed my last mother plant and if anyone has the original clone only PM me

I sent a sample off to an independent lab so a chemical fingerprint is not too far off, I will share the results when I get it.

I'm in SoCal and have never been able to find the real "CHEESE" clone. Not the UK, Exodus, Brightside, Fromunda....none.lol

About 6yrs ago a shop near me in the SFV would have some bud labeled as "cheese" every now and then. It was never all that stanky but it did have some ok funk to it. I was hoping it was legit but grown so poorly that it wasn't as loud as it maybe should/could have been. Id buy an 1/8th or two whenever it was on the shelf in the hopes of finding a bagseed or two.

I don't think I bought too much more than a 1/2 ounce before I got my wish. There were two beautiful fully mature seeds. They were grown outdoors last season. The seeds were planted in late June and grown out in 30gal pots until harvested on November 18th.

They were very very leafy with decent resin coverage and had a ok funkiness but not loud at all. id say.... inside the house volume.lol They were ok I guess but barely worth the effort it took to type this post.

I let some friends have at em. They brought some oil by for me to check out and.... its was still just ok.lol

If I liked being on heat or catching fire a little more I'd prob have a different opinion. The stone was like what I imagine it feels like to slip into and come out of a diabetic coma! Complete weakness and a total lack of strength. Beyond couchlock! Like waking up in Bill Cosby's office.

I enjoy a nice couchlocked full body stone but GOD DAMN!! This made watching cartoons all day impossible!

Maybe the real will make her way to the valley someday. soon.
