Blues is an interesting clone..I let it out on here a few years back .. if you found someone whos grown both they will tell you the same...its taste sweeter than cheese and captures the berry side of cheese better than the cheese itself (if your tooth is sweet).. blues is how it tastes..Blues made a name in its own right in Sheffield completely independently from the cheese scene. ..it's not a cross to the cheese clone but it's obviously from the same batch of sensi sk1 as the cheese..shame I lost it before anyone started to care..im sure its about still tho..same deal with the cheese funnily enough

If you check elevator man's post you will see me and him have a very similar options on this...blues is a true improvement on cheese in many ways...suspect sk1 x nl5 or maybe sk x bigbud..

But I guess it just an opinion

Psycho is a downgraded cut in comparison to cheese but the blues held its own an that is no easy job.. I dumped the psycho but I kept the blues and cheese because the represented 2 sides of one coin to me

The psychosis cut I have is the next best thing to cheese I have ever seen
Bigger yielding to
Which is why I believe it is passed alot as the cheese cut

It grows similar but it doesn't have the red stems and grows a bit more sideways

The cheese cut has a touch more funk in there than the phycosis

Another thing to add is alot of these cuts look the same
With zig zag growth etc
Also after growing out the psychosis I think alot of people have the cuts confused
Psychosis let's of some serious cheese stink to it and grow similar

Yeah been trying to tell people gently that a 1/3 of the Cheese I see from "elsewhere" is often Psy or Nelly. Psycho Zig-zags gets red stems when underfed and can be fussy too.....but the buds look different and the stigmas are a slightly different colour and longer on Psychosis. Cheese looks like its eating its own stigmas by the end and it bracts are very distinctive....The trich's are different enough up close to tell them apart too....Psycho glands are in a more ordered, neat pattern and cheeses look slightly more erratic and more varied stalk lengths on the glands but slightly bigger heads. Magnified x100 they look very different. JBo ;]

Psycho is not to my taste..it's not as poinient as cheese and it's not got the extra pazzaz I look for in the taste..blues makes your head turn.. I ended up running blues and cheese at the same time as they both held there own .psycho was sub par in comparison. .imho

Is the blues the same as psychoberry ? Because I understand that psychosis and psychoberry have different genetics , if I was to give psychoberry another name it would be blue cheese so sweet ...

I honestly think psycho and psychoberry is a downgrade from brightsides cheese and blues.. probably the most interesting part of the Sheffield blues is how independent from cheese and the psycho and psychoberry it is.....

yet the blues shares so many similarlys to cheese and the psycho lot...this will be due to a common ancestor in the sensi seed department ....

blues has more far flavour than the psycho or her siblings. ..blues lingers longer on the pallet with a much more prominent flavour too...a true improvement

They are all fire and not so very different tbh if you have any of them, then keep 'em. Science will reveal more about them all as we go forward. But most of Exodus peeps preferred Jack after a few years anyhoo...I'm pretty sure even Glenn preferred it ;) I am interested in where that Exo Jack went too.... Anyone?

I hate growing cheese and I will be glad when this run is over as it causes me too much stress.
I have a good quality carbon filter and perfect neg pressure but the smell always seems to find a way out. I came home bank holiday Monday after staying with my bird the weekend to smell it outside my door, I quickly sorted it by putting one of those neutralizers downstairs and one in the room upstairs which has worked but the smell seems to linger on the stairs ffs.
A few of my neighbour's smoke so the surrounding area always smells of weed so I'm not panicking yet but still got two weeks to go and just know the smell will get stronger, I think this will be my last time for a good while at least.
Now does that sound like a fake cheese? Lol.

The real Sheffield blues is held in high regard a lot prefer it over cheese it's just become so hard to find the real deal now as there is a seed version with the same name and a lot of people passing out fake blues cuts knowing or unknowingly the real cut is really hard to find now ,it does seem that the stench from these girls is what's putting people off not only growing them but smoking them also the smell is just so strong and sticks to everything

If Windows cut is Brightsides which looks increasing likely, I wonder what it was Cheezegez remembers? Might of been one of these other old skunks? Cheesegez, how was what you remember different to Windows cut? fruitier? or just smellier? more up buzz? more couchy?

In other news, I looked at blue meanie pics and its pretty similar to Windows cut. Biggest difference was the blue meanie didn't have the red stems. Weird cos I don't think they that closely related are they?

Rick I heard these blues and livers cuts have some incense funk when they burn? that true bro? from the afghani maybe?

Nah, she's not blue meanie from what I've seen pics of, too good a yeilder.
Looks to me like a skunk-afghan, the meanie?
All these cuts seem to be from the same sort of time frame i.e late 80s early to mid 90s so probably from the same seedbank/breeder's i.e the seedbank or sensi.
They all seem to have some skunk in them but mine I think is a pure skunk.

oh no I wasn't saying yours is blue meanie - meanie has green stems and maybe slightly more indica leaf proportions. Ive been looking hard today at pictures original cheese and your is bang on to my eyes. Red stems, zig zags, leaf deformities/anomalies. Im really optimistic cos all the guys are saying she looks right. Think Cheesegez must of had something else maybe blues from what Rick says (as in its nicer smoke)

Oh right, no worries, its all very confusing, especially when all these cuts have a lot of the same trait's, I've thought myself, hmm, is mine psychosis? But then some think the pycho and cheese are the same????
What I do know is all of the trait's ojd wrote about, my cut has,100%

Is the blue's and liver's the same cut?
I think it was Stonecutter that posted in my thread about the blue's tasting like parma violet's? I love that taste!

:tiphat: thanks virgin. I want that taste in a nice haze hybrid with zero body to it.
I once smoked a pure seedsman haze that had a hint of the rose incence taste but was more like a peppery hashish, blew me away that pure haze could taste so good as I've had other pheno's that tasted more herbal, bushy?
I can concure with Sam's word's that some individuals have a superior sweet taste.
Sorry for being off topic, but a man can dream can't he, god dam it, lol.
I mean for effect, fuck cheese, ha ha!
