Looking good! I like those containers, good choice for maximizing space and your plants are looking good. I love seeing them point like that. Prayin' :)

Coming into the last few days of veg, have just given them their last feed of 8-3-6 before switching over to terra flores for flower.

I've leveled out the canopy somewhat, 16/8 for today and tomorrow and then flipping on saturday.

Looking forward to seeing how much this cab fills up in 12/12.

4 days into 12/12, stretch has been damn slow so I've just put the top plants on the floor of the cab to encourage them a little more. One plant has sprouted some hairs today but none have shown balls, bizarre.

The new 150w CMH is now running in the top half of the cab, along with 2x18w LEDs.

The bottom half of the cab is now running 1x70w CMH and 2x24w CFL. Depending how many females I end up with, I may add another 70w CMH to the bottom cab.

Mr. Sparkle

4 days into 12/12, stretch has been damn slow so I've just put the top plants on the floor of the cab to encourage them a little more.

It is only day 4, usually the second week is when most plants really take off, also i'd rather have too little stretch than too much.

Also as huff noticed does kinda look like the one bulb is off a bit, probably just cross threaded.

But they are looking healthy, keep it up.

Btw: if you increase the shutter speed on your camera/phone/whatever those horizontal blackish lines should go away, just a by product of a magnetic ballast and taking picture with a slower shutter speed.

is the right bulb broken or?? if the base is lose it could short

you can always overwater to induce strechc

It's a bayonet fitting which has some side to side movement, there's a piece of wood angling the bulb slightly towards the centre of the cab. I'm not sure if you guys use bayonet light fittings in the states or just the Edison screw type?

I've got loads of massive fan leaves which I was planning to trim if stretch got out of hand, I'm still wanting them to atleast double in current size so I don't think it needs any further discouraging or encouraging yet.

Cheers Mr. Sparkle, going to have a fiddle with shutter speed on my phone, I should pull my camera out so I can take some higher quality photos too.

Five of the eight plants are male and out of the cab, two are definitely female and one hasn't shown yet. I've thankfully ended up with atleast one female of each strain, hopefully two of the haze.

Certainly looking forward to running those feminized seeds!

I haven't knocked any over this round, but I used to start my outdoor plants in them and kicked a few then haha. I've just transplanted into some flat bottom containers for flower before things get too top heavy.
I was a little worried about using clear containers, but it didn't seem to slow things down at all or kill off roots.

I managed to kick a couple plants that fell completely out of the party cup, smh. Wanted to kick myself in the balls lol. Your plants like nice by the way, good job.

Kicking yourself in the balls takes talent which I just don't possess haha.

I've ended up with a pair of larger LST'd plants just going into the 11th day of flower. Filling out the cab nicely, will get some photos up on the weekend.

Shame about all the males..... Huh... Roll of the dice I guess. I've kicked over my share of plants but lately I've been potting up pretty quick so once clones are ready they go into big cups and then gallons. Growing in coco let's me do it in about 2, 3 weeks. I've been meaning to ask have you thought about coco? It works great on any scale and definitely for keeping it tight in a small grow. Watch out for gnats tho. I'm about to figure out how to kill them this weekend for good. Dunks and sticky traps for now......any tips?

Strong microbial activity in the medium, that out competes the gnats, will keep populations in check. Enzymes and similar products will also break down the dead organic matter the gnats' larva like to feed on. But these are preventative measures. If you already have an infestation, I've had luck with SM-90, neem, and DE on the top.

I've certainly thought about coco/perlite, but daily watering wouldn't be ideal for me.

Even with 70/30 soil/perlite I've needed to water every 2nd day this week during stretch, they both got a little bit dry and droopy today but already look to be livening up again after a water.

Next round I'm going to run a single plant from feminized seed in each half of the cab, with more training in veg since I'll know how much space I have to work with.

Camera settings are pretty limited on my phone, will get some better shots up on the weekend at the two week mark.

Next time round I'm going to grow in the large white trays which the top plant is sitting on currently, hopefully this will allow plenty of root growth for a more vigorous, bushy plant and give me a little more time between waterings.

i hate small containers

is that bottom fan pushing air in? isnt it better to hang the cfl above it, to cool it more?

Still trying to keep it warm in there at the moment, good idea for summer though. As it warms up I was going to take your advice from earlier in the thread and remove the fan between sections, add another hole for airflow and add another pair of intake holes at floor level.

I've currently got half a plastic container duct-taped to the wall over the fan, it's directing air over the plant quite well and most branches have some movement. Downstairs needs more air movement over the plant, I might add a little USB fan.

I'm not planning on visiting a Casino anytime soon that's for sure.

Watch out for gnats tho. I'm about to figure out how to kill them this weekend for good. Dunks and sticky traps for now......any tips?

Supposedly a really hot light cycle and letting the soil dry out for as long as you feel the plant will handle can help. I've luckily been able to avoid pests (minus one outdoor grow which I'm pretty sure was eaten by possums) but I always take a few prophylactic measures in veg for insects.

sounds good, do you have glass under the mh?

I originally did when I was running a 70w bulb in the top but more to restrict airflow and raise temps than anything. The bulb sits about 6" below the fan and is actually above the ceiling of the cab which keeps a lot of heat inside the housing it's mounted into. Currently sitting in the low 70s at canopy height with lights on or off so needs to be a little warmer yet.

I still have the 70w bulb and ballast from the top section, I should remove the LED/CFL from the bottom and just run 2x70w CMH.
