1.no one is denied healthcare that is against the law. You cannot be turned away from a hospital for not having insurance. If a hospital does you have a huge lawsuit against them.

2. Venezuela was one of the richest countries in the Western hemisphere, socialism takes over, now Only Maduro supporters recover a small ration of food, the rest starve. So yes there are 1st world countries who keep services from political opposition.

3. A government handout only breeds dependency. So today 37 million are poor, 10 years from now 100 million are poor, and then 160 million, and on and on. Meanwhilethose work and provide the taxes become less and less. Eventually the taxes become so high, No one works and the country descends into chaos. Now the government you love so much gets to put people to work by force. This is why communism/ socialism ALWAYS LEADS TO MILLIONS BEING SLAUGHTERED.

Answer this question. If you work and make less than someone on government assistance, due to taxes.are you going to keep working?

If you spend a small fortune on students loans becoming a Dr. Are you going to be ok with the patients who don't work making more than you?

in terms of health care it might be a good idea to make an exception and go for the socialist version. basically make a decision that health care is not a for profit business. no share holders, no administrators by the millions making 6 figures. 1 system with different options. doctors nurses get paid well, so people want to do those jobs, while admin costs are reduced because instead of 50 companies doing it, you will have 1. it's books should be open to the public so no corruption or waste can creep in. managers and ceo's should be elected and have to follow the doctors oath of doing no harm. this kind of thing works in other places and they pay a quarter what you pay and the service is 100 times better. it's not set up as a scam where they are looking for excuses not to cover legitimate expenses. i know it's a pipe dream, the US will never go for such a huge overhaul and so many people would find their huge profits getting reduced. look at the Swedish system, the health care is totally first class and the costs are totally reasonable, the basic coverage has to be reasonable by gov mandate. this means everyone has it, even the really poor, so there is enough cash to cover everyone, as everyone has it, even people who don't get sick, not sure if it's the law, or people just realize it's stupid not to have it, sooner or later you will be glad. it's not a life crisis getting sick or having an accident, the insurance actually covers it. so you can get good care and still live normally. i like capitalism, but for healthcare i have become convinced that capitalism is the worst driving force you can imagine for providing day to day health care. some profit incentive has to remain for medical innovation and new meds, but even that should be within reason. selling a 90 cent epi pen for 300 buxs really isn't that way to provide health care.

That's why we got Obamacare. Hospitals were going to go belly-up unless something was done. And it used to be doubly unlucky if you hurt yourself on a Saturday, when emergency rooms were filled with people using them as primary care facilities. The system simply wasn't working.

Many countries have accepted that government sponsored healthcare is the most reasonable way to go. And no, it doesn't mean a rapid descent into a totalitarian dystopia. Again, the Scandinavian countries with their socialistic policies haven't turned into bloody dictatorial hellholes.

I read the book. I recommend that everybody reads the book. And I also think that running our health care system (including pharmaceuticals) through free market capitalistic principles is absolutely insane.

Health-care is a Huge part of the economy, so many mutual funds, pensions and stock ownership are invested in the health care market. Take those investments and make them zero overnight, and the loses would be in the trillions. American would descend into a depression so great, it would make the crash of 29 look like a drop in the bucket.

Please. Nobody is suggesting the dictatorship of the proletariat. Going in that direction is like raving about reefer madness.

There are some things that require govt oversight, like markets themselves. Otherwise the strong simply prey on the weak. Corporations can't exist w/o govt to settle contract disputes or w/o a stable medium of exchange, money as we know it.

People really don't understand that the ACA represents a societal commitment to each other. It means you'll always be covered & that you'll always be able to afford it. It means that we take money from the people at the top to help pay for it & the only harm they suffer is crocodile tears shed on the balance sheet. 3.8% of income above $250K/yr won't change anybody's lifestyle no matter how piteously they howl about it. It'll def change the health status of the people & kids on the low end of the foodchain for the better.

Trump & the Repub leadership don't care about any of that. They just care about amassing more wealth & power at the top of the heap. If tens of millions of Americans get screwed in the process, well, they shoulda been rich, right?

3-how many people have been killed in all of the socialist states in Europe EG -Norway, Finland, etc. communist countries, you will get no argument from me. they guard their borders to keep the slaves from escaping. ever hear of Norway shooting a resident that wanted to leave? LOL!

I agree with most of what you said. Socialist may not have a monopoly on corruption, they do generally have a monopoly on mass murder of political dissidents .
