Peachy. That's ~10% of the population of greater Los Angeles. Probably wouldn't hurt their economy one little bit, right?
You would be right, it doesn't hurt the economy for the rich. It kills wages for ordinary Americans. Why would you hire me at 20 $ an hour when you can hire a guy with no papers for 8 $ an hour.
Thanks Brown, most people think you are conservative you want to hurt the poor. I am for Americans first all Americans left or right. Mass immigration helps the 1% but decimates the working class.

LOL... you can't be serious. I'm not Rep nor Dem... I hate them both. I believe in what's best for all, without prejudice or greed. I affiliate with no political clan and am an agnostic regarding religion. IMHO, one can't get any more central/neutral nor more pragmatic than me.

I never said you were a Democrat or a Republican, I am neither myself. I am in support of Americans 100%. That being said rich people are Americans to. People can think whatever they want about me, in my heart I know what I am.
It's real simple if 10 % of the workers leave, employers will have to compete for employees, with higher wages, and better working conditions. It's the law of supply and demand.

I left the workforce for health reasons. The salary for my job did not increase. I was one of two doing what I did. It took a year to replace me. How do you explain that?

He should have wrote......most people think THAT IF you are a conservative THEN you want to hurt the poor.
It's none of my business but I'd hate to see one of the few instances where two members with often opposing views have the chance to connect on a positive but because of spelling, punctuation or incomplete sentences it missed.
Gotta remember, It's easy to get lazy with the keyboard and some don't possess the ability to write better when they're wide awake anyhow!
Plus we should all be stoned, at least a little if we're on this website Right?HAHA
but it's none of my business really. Believe me, I wouldn't normally jump in to save packerfan from a good "talking to" but these days there's plenty to not see eye to eye on.

I read that Sessions got a letter from either District attorneys or governors from several legal states that they felt his memo about his sentencing guidelines was not in the people's best interest.
No word on Sessions reaction.
Explain why employers would hire anybody in the face of radically reduced demand.

Hey Jhhnn, You are wasting your time with him. You are using facts & logic, that will only confuse him. PF seems to at least be a decent human being - which is far, far more than I can say for Trump.
PF means well but living in rural nowhere & having no real corporate type work experience, etc, gives him no perspective on reality regarding employment, employers, etc.
PF has been spoon fed the alt right total nonsense that "illegals" actually TAKE AWAY JOBS from American citizens, he actually,
amazingly enough, believes this BS.
I have heard this BS for decades and have yet to meet even 1 person who EVER lost a good job or any job to an "illegal".
Brown Thumb knows the reality. When corporations cannot fill their low paying ( lower than what should be paid) positions with American workers, they just lobby ( bribe) their congressfolks with requests for more LEGAL H-1B visas.
Yes PF..... LEGAL H-1B & similar visas are who really take important American jobs - people from many other nations will gladly take the below standard pay.
That is how reality works, as opposed to theory ( 10% of the workforce walking out, etc.....)
How it works is a job,typically requiring years of experience, that has a range of, for example, $70,000 - $90,000 - is offered out for $45,000. If you have been making $76,500, you are not going to accept a job for $45,000 typically. If you have any pride, you know for certain you are worth more than that based on your years of experience and expertise.
Corporation, in turn, pleads that they need these extra visas "because there is a real lack of hi-tech workers !" = a half truth, there is really ONLY a lack of hi-tech workers who want to work for sub-standard wages.
In theory, the idea of 10% of a workplace walking out to gain higher wages, is a noble thought. In reality, the remaining 90% work force will be asked to "work harder" to make up for the "disloyal" employees...
Where I live, supply & demand have raised wages for many, many types of jobs. Many contract workers from temp agencies, etc usually lack the skills & work ethic to be productive/good workers.
The jobs "illegals" have "taken" are typically jobs that are very physically hard that very, very, very few American citizens would ever attempt. Imagine "Americans" picking produce, hauling bricks, etc - good luck filling those jobs lol

Less workers =greater demand for workers. Thus wages go up. It's supply and demand. Illegal aliens are not creating jobs.rhey are taking jobs.
As far as H1-b I am aware of it and no I don't support it. I am fully,aware that silicon valley (Democrat supporters) is using this program to cut the wages, just like construction does with illegals.I am not stupid or rural. I may not work for a big corporation, but I understand basic economic principles. Leftist really can't claim to use logic when there policies have been a complete failure. The war on poverty which has produced more dependant people who have no opportunities. Meanwhile the government spends close to a billion dollars a year to fight it. The schools suck, and thfe teachers unions have kept crappy teachers who don't produce results, thus people stay poor and trapped. The cure to poverty, is a quality education, not massive government welfare programs.
.on a grand scale, leftist policies produce what we are seeing inVenuzuela where people are smuggling food from Columbia, people have no toilet paper, hospitals have no medicine. The consequences of leftist policies are very real.The suffering is real.
