I was well on my way to retiring a millionaire and with a decent pension. I could have accomplished that in my late fifties. Had I been able to work until my mid sixties I could have had a couple million in addition to an even better pension. That didn't happen.

I'm now one of those nonproductive leeches some seem to hate. I'm sorry but I did pay my taxes just like everyone else and I won't be starving myself to death in the gutters to avoid collecting my very meager disability funds. Believe me, I didn't want to end up like this.

The tax system is extremely complicated and corrupt. It does need to be replaced. However, trusting a lying cheating buffoon like Trump and his cronies to do it fairly is completely insane.

The opportunity to become a millionaire , to be wildly successful is what makes this country great. The American dream isn't taking from those who have worked and studied and fought to be successful. That is the economics of failure. The opportunity is their make it happen. I struggle to but I don't hate successful people, I try to learn from them.

So where has chasing that dream put us? Right where we are, where the broken dreams of America elected Trump to lead us out of bitterness, spite & a Screw You! attitude. The Democratic party platform, would love to see a 90 % tax on those making over 250k. Bernie wants to tax everyone at 90% but it's ok cause you will get healthcare and free college. We all get to live in housing projects, where we will be easily controlled. Government will supply all your needs. Glorious government will be everything to you.

Like how? Percentage wise? I noticed the 'Trump pays no taxes' comment earlier and I think to the ONLY tax information we have on him...oh and by the way revealed by Maddow on a super hyped show...we found out that on less than $200 million in income, he payed over $30 million in taxes in just one year. Now, I don't know about you but I would say that paying over $30 million dollars in taxes...in a single year...is pretty amazing. To make so much money that you pay over $30 million dollars in taxes in just one single year. In other words, that motherfucker is paying for more shit than anyone you will ever know...personally...that is.

But the question I have is...how much? How much do you want or rather feel the government deserves of the income a person makes off their labor. This is America baby...where anyone can reach the top...because of economic freedom. A bloated federal government only hampers that freedom.

Connecticut is in dire straights because they keep jacking up the tax rates, so rich people have left there money in the stock market so no taxes paid to the state. The shift in money from rich to poor is due to illegal immigration, low wage workers bring wages down. It's not that rich people are stealing the money in the middle of the night. Any sane economist will agree.
